I like these, you definitely have a gear for thinking imaginatively. I think sometimes, though, during scenes where a lot of action is taking place, you kind of skimp on detail as you flow from one act to the next. As such, some of the scenes are kind of confusing in their continuity, more a collection of snapshots versus a flowing scene (like watching a film at like 10 fps versus 60 [not to imply I know anything about film])
I'm wondering how to edit the topic name of a thread that you start. Like, for example, you title a post "OMFG MINECRAFT STORY CHAPTER 1!" Obnoxious as it may be, it suits your purposes. However, after you finish writing chapters 2 and 3, you may notice that this title is no longer accurate. I have tried to find how to edit the topic title if you are the OP, to no avail. Some people have found ways around this by simply starting new topics, which is an easily-avoidable waste of forum space; I would rather not do that. Please help, if you know how, or let me know if it is simply not possible.
Grazie
EDIT:I just figured it out, though I may be a moron for not having guessed. If you are the OP, simply change the subject of the original post. This will modify the name of the entire thread. I'm leaving this up for other morons like myself
I go to the skinedex, but I'm not positive on how to equipt it to my user.
There is official support for stuff like this on the site. Go to the "PROFILE" tab on the homepage of minecraft, click the button below and to the left of the character model, and find your downloaded file within the window. Select it, and it should upload.
thanks for the advice but when i click the "open texture pack folder" absolutely nothing opens.
P.S. i am running this on a mac so that could be the problem
Uh... I don't know how macs work, but doesn't it have a location listed in the top of the window? Try and move your texture pack file to wherever this location is directed to.
I'm trying to port forward this default port, 25565 but I can't get this port open.
I have tried logging into my router and add the port in port forwarding section and I have tried Simple Port Forwarding program! And still my port is NOT open!
I don't know what do to! I want to get my server up and going and let my friends join, but I can't if the port is closed.
So what can I do now? I have tried to turn off my Windows Firewall (all I got), but that didn't help.
Please, help!

Did you follow all the instructions at portforward.com? Maybe you forgot the check the box that would enable it to be open?
Hah, that's a cool idea. I think Notch is thinking of putting in pets at some point, I could definitely dig a little squid swimming around my backyard pool in Minecraft as a pet.
I recently downloaded the paiterly texture pack and am having trouble running it. I put it in the texture folder in the .minecraft on my mac but i cant seem to get it to run.
Notch put in a official support for texture packs. Just put the file somewhere you can easily locate it, and then start up minecraft. In the opening menu, there will be a button labeled "Mods/texture packs" or something like that. Click it, click "open texture pack folder" and then locate your texture pack file in that browser. Copy and paste it to the specified location, it should be relatively simple.
- You do not need to buy the game twice to play on two different computers, so long as you remember your username and password. However, as the save-files for your specific map are recorded on the hard drive of the computer you are playing on, you will not be able to play the same world on two separate computers. Instead, you will have to start a new game on the second computer
- Beta is the survival game of Minecraft, in which you have to search in the environment for materials to aid in your survival. There are lots of "let's play" videos on youtube that will give you an accurate view of what this will be like. Classic, however, only allows you to place blocks for the purposes of building. There are no monsters, and no threats. It is outdated, but free to try on the minecraft site.
- If you do not understand how ip addresses and the like work, that shouldn't hamper your ability to play the game. You can play the single-player game without messing with any of that. If you want to play multiplayer, however, you will need to do this. There are a lot of helpful threads in the forum to assist you with that, though
That's all. Ask anyone if you need more help. Have fun!
