Hey, I've got a skin request. Can you look at it, please?
This is from a recently released 3DS and Vita visual novel-style game called Virtue's Last Reward. The character's name is "Quark". He's basically just a little kid with a big hat, really. Nothing much to it.
Here's a bunch of reference pics:
Tried making a skin for him, but I could never get the hat right. My 0 experience of skin making doesn't help either. Can someone help me? Thanks a lot
Hey guys, just wanted to inform you that due to some organizational disasters, Team Iridium is a Bye for this tournament. This also means French Toast Mafia is moving on to the next round. Just wanted to inform you.
I really would have liked to play at least one match. Ah well. I'm sorry, I promise it won't happen again.
EDIT: That said, I have asked, and I hereby submit my app for a substitute for the C-Team.

Hey Vechs, I think we demand an "Ethonian Piston Kit" or an "Ethonian Instant Bridge". Or something along those lines. It'll simply contain a few pistons, a lever, and some standard building blocks (cobble, sandstone). And maybe a diamond hoe for good measure. Just a suggestion :smile.gif:
Alright, here's applications for my team, namely "Team Iridium":

You said you were pretty new to redstone, but how long have you been doing it? I have been doing redstone for 2 weeks.
I've been doing redstone for about a month. First couple of weeks, I just watched CNBMinecraft's videos and imitated some of the stuff he did, and this was my first project where I actually tailored the redstone I saw in his vids to fit exactly my needs. The timer was just an idea I had based off of his combination lock decoder.
Also, for the reversing of colors, I'm working on an 8-pulse reversible signal generator for the point. It's huge though, so underneath each point is going to be a mess. It works fine, once anyone steps off the point it starts counting back slowly. Only problem is that I can't seem to "save" the point of time that the person steps off the plate. I could use a ton of RSNOR Latches and pulse generators but that would just add to the size more and more, and you would need a mountain to hide everything already.
Awesome! Glad you are doing this :smile.gif: I've just been working on compacting what I have so far so it fits in a small space. I'm working on the "multi-person speed up system" that so many people have asked for, and I made a system that just detects the amount of people standing on plates (3 being the maximum). I also have ideas on how to compact the timer I made, and how to make it speed up (aka go through less repeaters the more people there are). I'll have another video out later this week. Thanks for all your support, dude!
Great job on this :smile.gif: I can see this being used in a ton of pvp maps. But what happens if you step on the point then step off from recoil of arrows or knockback from a sword? Or even just on accident. What I can see is that the timer will be "reset" and you're going to have to step on the point again. Some add-ons would be the multi-person timer speedup (scientific name I know) saving the place where the timer stands, plates for both red and blue so that the team controlling the point doesn't accidentally trigger the opposite capture, and hiding all of the wiring.
The point of the timer resetting when someone is shot off was the whole idea of this little apparatus. The point can only be captured if it's safe to capture it, and no enemies are nearby to steal it from you. If you're fast enough, though, you can still get back on the pressure plate without the timer resetting. I'm not really sure how to implement a multi-person speed-up, but if someone can do it, I certainly would love to see it. The different plates for red and blue are already underway, and the wiring can all be hidden underground. (There will have to be a small half-slabbed area around the point, but all the other wiring can be hidden easily. I'll try to work on compacting the timer next.
Very nice! I just got an idea: you could have the wool change slowly, so people playing don't have to stare at lights. Also having two pressure plates, with two colors for each team, to change the point slowly to each color. Basically, all my ideas just are to make it more like tf2, but fantastic idea. :smile.gif:
PS: You made two topics, so please remove the other one by deleting the text and title.
Thanks for the ideas! I'll definitely use two pressure plates in my next design. The lights are going to be hidden, of course. I don't think I could change the wool gradually, because captures can be prevented, and then the wool has to change back, and that would be overly complicated for me. I'm just learning redstone right now, so it's too hard for me to do right now. The only change I think I could do would be adding two pressure plates instead and allow blocking of captures that way.
Thanks for the heads-up on the double post. For some reason, I couldn't delete it like that, so I just replaced it with "please delete".

Hey, how's this coming along? Just checking up. If you can't do it, it's all right, it's a pretty detailed skin.

If you search "Dio VLR" or "Dio Virtue's Last Reward" in google images, there's a few more reference pics there. But yeah.
Thanks for your time!
