Regardless of the other conversations going on in this thread I would like to state to that I personally enjoy having the trees and leaf behavior as is currently implemented. I enjoy finding neat ways to include leaves into the design of my structures.
I do not find the current state of "floating trees" to be "bothersome" or an "incursion" on my time in the game. To tend to leaves that need to be removed is relaxing.
Step 4: Drag your newly created char.png into the minecraft.jar
Step 5: Profit!
You can already change your offline skin. I have never played multiplayer a day in my life, and both my wife and I, on the same computer, using different profiles, but the same "log in" information have separate skins for our "offline characters."

Hey Doku! I love your texture pack!
However, I did edit it a bit for my own personal use. I wanted to provide some screenshots for anyone interested, but I didn't want to start a new post as this is Doku's, just modified a bit. I also threw in some painterly things like some of the items and such. Also, go here if you want animated water, lava, or fire with your Doku pack: http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=46173
Here's some changes I made:
I used the Painterly boat
And Minecart
Added gems to boxes, doors and other things
The iron door is also brighter, as are wood plank blocks and some other things
Here's some of the items
I also made other things with more highlights like grass and lava
If you wanna download the files to check them out yourself, here's the link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=06F45WA4 There's more changes that I didn't mention too, I can't remember them all.
This one is a recommended on to download if anyone is changing theirs. I have this one and it has alot better textures added.
[] Now this is the one I'm currently using however, I did get the fix for animated lava/water along with an awesome lava animation.
Also, with the above mentioned pack, the "Leather Armor" displays as a Tuxedo, which I didn't like, so I just changed the armor image in game. However, the item when in the inventory still looks like a tuxedo.
I'm not talented enough to mess with the files, but I'm getting there. []

Awesome theme pack!
Works really great without messing the atmosphere of Minecraft, and feels somehow familiar for old-school RPG fan. :smile.gif:
I made a 32-frame animated versions of the lava texture with a subtle pulsing hot glow (and reasonably smooth animation for flowing lava, of course). Anyone using the HD texture fix feel free to give them a try: custom-lava.zip (32x1024 custom_lava_still.png + 32x1024 custom_lava_flowing.png)
edit: GIF preview :smile.gif:
(scaled 3x, in-game animation is slower & smoother)
edit: I added 64-frame half-speed versions of both textures to the zip. :smile.gif:
Also, I found this on my own orginally just by utilizing the search tool. Keywords like "brighter" "bright" "doku" and it came right up with them. So while I may have just entertained the fact that very few people don't use the search tool, I feel good knowing I helped out a poor soul.
Any hope that the OP will allow us simpletons to download his paintings (kz.png) file? I have a hankering to make a "painting-less" painting file that only has decorative/aesthetic items to place around one's house.
I especially enjoy seeing the mounted weapons/curtains. The possibilities for "fake" creature comfort items are nearly endless...
Hopefully, someone with much more talent that I will include an art pack that has a less grand version of said curtains. The randomness of their creation doesn't bother me as paintings are really, really easy to make.

There should be a poll with this thread.

Step 2: Save skin as char.png
