Installed in this order:
Dynamic Lights
MCPatcher + Misa's texture pack
SinglePlayerCommands

All are latest versions.

My problem is that handheld torches do NOT light anything at all, only if I throw/place them.

I did delete META-INF.

I don't know if I did something wrong, but I copied all the .class files and WorldEdit.Jar into the proper places, and pressing t still does nothing. The only other thing I have installed is Misa's 64x64 texture pack.

I just want to confirm that installing Battle Towers mod will NOT mess up my existing maps?

You can change "true" to "false" making it so animals don't spawn at all. If you meant monsters... turn it to peaceful mode:

spawn-monsters=true

Where do I even go to change that?

Is there any way to stop animals from spawning, other than removing ALL the grass? Or at least reduce the spawn rate? It's getting annoying when I'm trying to build something, and there's at least 2-5 of each animal crowding around..

Don't know if it's just mine, or if anyone else has seen it, but the foxes seem to go turbospeed on ice on mine. o.o
