    @mdf25 that would be fine actually, to just have them simply drop cobblestone instead. that would only take 3 little words in the file to be changed, and really it's just that i'm tired of having to throw them away (sometimes accidentally picking them back up again, which is more irritation) and losing out on cobblestone which i like to build with just for the sake of these 3 blocks i'll never use. having the aesthetically pleasing ores generating but gaining cobblestone upon mining them seems like a win-win.

    forge isn't necessary for this, right? if it can be done with just JDK i would just install and do it myself if no one else wants to waste their time with this... what file holds the block properties? i looked briefly but didn't find an answer.

    You don't even need a mod for that, you can just make a data pack that edits the loot tables of those blocks. Check the Minecraft gamepedia to do that.

    Hello Everyone!


    I've been thinking of getting back into modding so I decided to work on my first 1.14 project. The result is a small mod called the Peanut Mod.


    In this mod, I have added:

    Peanuts: (Including Wild Plants that spawn in Jungles, a crop, and a recipe to make them into peanut butter)

    Jelly: (Crafted by berries)

    PBJs: (Really good food made with bread, peanut butter and jelly)

    Hello Everyone! I have released a major update to the mod and adds a new mechanic: Butcher meat harvesting.


    I have always felt that butchers were lacking so they can now make meat for the village! They will go up to chickens, cows, pig and sheep and get one cooked meat from them. The mob that got harvested cannot be harvested by other villagers for one minecraft day. The butcher can give this meat to other villagers to make them willing to breed.


    As well, I made minor tweaks to villagers so they can now pick up more items (and this fixes a minor vanilla bug). Changelog below:


    3.0.1

    Butchers can now harvest meat from pigs, cows, chickens and sheep.
    Villagers now get willing after getting beetroots. -This fixes a vanilla bug
    Villagers will now pick up emeralds, don't drop them.
    Added an option to bypass the tab system for those who don't like the tabs or they are causing issues.
    When you kill a villager, it now drops its inventory.
    May have fixed the no GUI popping up issue on servers.
    Fixed the notification marker recipe.
    Fixed a bug where villagers from other mods got deleted. They will now spawn in small houses.
    Decreased amount of time before villagers go inside when night time starts.
    Villagers now move slower when going indoors, to fix them going super quick at nightime.

    You don't convert the NBT to code, you load the structure from NBT in your world generator.

    You can use Structure Blocks in Data Mode to run custom logic for specific positions (e.g. generate a chest with a specific loot table or spawn a mob). Either override StructureComponentTemplate#handleDataMarker or use Template#getDataBlocks to implement this custom logic.


    Ah, then I may need something else since I want to use functions like getBiomeSpecificBlockState for these buildings.

    Okay, so I have made and saved two structures, how do I read the NBT and convert it to using code since there are a few functions that need to be in it?

    posted a message on Using the seed to determine instead of random to tied a certain variant of villages to the seed?

    Hello! In my mod there is a 1/12 chance of villages being much bigger than normal. Unfortunately I haven't tied this to the seed which I don't like. Is there a way to use the seed in order to make a 1/12ish chance of my villages spawning much bigger than normal villages?
