WHAT?!?!? How dare you intend to bring an illegal substance into a game! This isnt one of your evil fantasies that I am sure you have while high! If I were to go stab my neighbor's pig I would be crazy! But If I were to do drugs I would blame YOU!!!

Well. I think it needs to not require a flower path to follow. maybe just be able to set objective points for it and when triggered it will move to the next sequential objective point?

Yes, I say turtle, it is faster to type quite frankly.

    MY SUGGESTIONS:
Ownership: To "own" a turtle you must use the turtle whistle on it. This will give you the ability to give it waypoints and (in smp) prevent others from taking it.

DIRECTION: once "owned" a turtle can have blocks placed on it's back, only one high for regular and your parameters for bigg'ns. To set a turtle "point" you would use a red flower an the ground and use the turtle whistle on it. The turtle will eat the flower and then that point will be marked as the next-numbered point on the turtle's destination list. When a turtle gets to his destination he will stop until a turtle whistle is used on him again.

BLOCKS LIST: Have a couple special turtle blocks for him along with the basics.
Basic Blocks: Can be put on the turtle, can hold signs on all four sides.
Sitting Pad: Can be sat on.
Turtle Chest: has inventory space when right clicked (and holding something other than turtle whistle)
Padded Turtle Chest: Same as turtle chest, but can be sat on.
Padded Furnace: mount-able furnace that can be sat on.
Padded Workbench: Mount-able workbench that can be sat on.
Caravan Block: Storage, half that of a chest. Used for caravaning (going to put under separate bullet point)

    Exclusions: Lightstone, torches, Chest

    RECIPES:
Sitting Pad: Cloth block in the center, with leather on each side and string in corners to hold it together
Turtle Chest: Chest with leather all around it
Padded Turtle Chest: turtle chest with Sitting Pad on it
Padded furnace: furnace with Sitting Pad on it
Padded workbench: workbench with Sitting Pad on it
Caravan Block: Padded Turtle Chest with Flower over it

    RIDING:
When on a turtle that may be sat on, holding out a turtle whistle will cause it to move in the direction you are pointing. Holding anything else will keep it on it default directions (See section above).

    CARAVANING:
A caravan turtle will only be active when there is a rider on it. While a caravan turtle is active, the nearest turtle will go directly behind it and become a caravan turtle. The first caravan turtle is then deactivated as a caravan turtle and so will not gain new followers. This system will cause nearby "owned" turtles to fall into a single file rank. Other lines would require more caravan blocks and riders. Turtles will "Fall in" with the nearest caravan turtle.

Other than that I love the idea so far. Comments?

(BTW: I will be learning java soon and if no one does it I just might try my hand at this. But dont hold your breath because my classes dont start for several months.)

bookshelves? Who reads we grow tomatoes to fill our REFRIGERADORS! Three tomatoes lined up makes FOOD and FOOD stacked up make FOOD SHELF and when you put those in a case they are a FRIDGE. And everyone knows, tomatoes are good for MANLY prostate health.

Also. I think cows should be the tigers because what is more manly than EXTRACTING MILK from tigers TOO AFRAID TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!!! but of course your POWER Instantly turns the milk to CHEESE for you PIZZA. (Plus I made a jungle theme and so I already have a tiger cow I can donate so that cuts out that work.

    You beat up

for their cheese and then steal thier skin to make

becuase really? who is manlier than TARZAN! he was raised by APES and killed EVILDOERS with his bare HANDS!

EDIT: but I would put TEETH on the tigers to make them THREATENING however much you can OVERCOME them with your MANLINESS!

That's easy. they have gained the ability to spontaneously replicate due to their toxic chemicals reacting with the radiation.

@OP Super excited you liked my idea. anyhow, I was under the impression mob heads are the size of 1 block, but your space guy's head is 16x16

    I have a couple things:

Why are the mobs low res?

    Also I have some suggestions:
Lightstone is a lightbulb covered box (ever seen a light up sign with no cover? like this) It was originally brought to the moon so that the workers could make signs denoting important places near them. but after most of the covers broke off they quite being maintained and fell to pieces. When you break them you can salvage some lightbulbs off them, get enough and you can build your own.

I like the idea of decorations for dyes. but it may be hard to come up with how all those things work in together.

Next, I think the trash areas look like a bunch of black and white organs (A black organ with a grey artery sticking out of it.)

Also, if you are lucky you may find some of the knives people threw away that the scavengers didn't see. Combine this with a stick and a propulsion unit with some tape and you could load them into some sort of device to weaponize them.

EDIT: also, I am surprised you chose what you did for the ghasts. I assumed you would do a moon mining drone. They were imported to help the astronauts with their mining operations int he core of the moon; however the nuclear radiation caused their targeting systems to decay and ruined the failsafe that stopped them from confusing human bones with valuable moon ores.

A lot of people don't really seem to understand what a phobia is. One reason for that is probably that a lot of people think that "being afraid of something" = "phobia". It isn't. Most people who say they have a phobia, or think they have a phobia, do not. They're simply afraid of something and use "phobia" to emphasize the strength of their fear.

A phobia is a pretty specific condition where you get an emotional reaction far out of proportion to any danger, for specific, partly innate stimuli. An area (two, one on each side, actually) in the brain called the Amygdala does fear-related learning - that's the part that lights up like a christmas tree when somebody suddenly jumps out at you, or a loud bang right next to you or things like that. When you suddenly get scared like that, the Amygdala quickly learns to be afraid of whatever caused the fear so you can avoid it in the future.

It turns out the human Amygdala (like other primates) has a hard-wired tendency to very quickly associate some specific kinds of things with fear - things like spider-like shapes, slithering S-shapes, dark, heights and some things like that. One single scary event involving any of those is enough to make you afraid of them. Other things don't associate with fear as easily nor as strongly (there's a neat chimpanzee experiment about that). Which is why phobias are almost exclusively about these specific things. "Car phobia" or "gun phobia" for instance is exceedingly rare (remember "be afraid of" is not the same as "phobia") even though they're plenty more dangerous to us today than a spider.

Sometimes the Amygdala goes overboard and starts signalling too much fear for these stimuli, and starts doing so for anything that even slightly resembles them. A suggestive S-line on a piece of paper can be enough to trigger a fear attack in someone with a snake phobia for instance.

Now, phobias can be partially cured or mitigated. With the help of a psychologist you can do gradual exposure therapy, where you slowly learn to suppress that fear signal. Problem is, the Amygdala itself doesn't really relearn anything; once it's afraid of something it's basically permanent. And the suppression is context-dependent - you're basically learning that spiders are not dangerous indoors, or in your doctors office, or in the town where you live. You can believe you're completely free of a spider phobia and go on an overseas trip, where you encounter an unfamiliar kind of spider in a foreign, unfamiliar place and bang - your phobia is back in full force again.

A phobia is nothing you can "man up" for or "grow up" from. It can be a debilitating condition (the clinical psychological definition stresses this part) and not something you can shrug off.

Totally agreed. The greater public does not know the difference between a phobia and a fear and are flippant about it. Excellent post! :smile.gif:

Really, I couldn't care less if you want to keep being scared of tiny crawly things that literarely cannot possibly do any harm to you for the rest of your life instead of facing your fear and at least trying to get it to a manageable level.

I'm not trying to be an ass here, I've dealt with something similar myself.

Notice the "dealt with", telling yourself that it's impossible to fix certainly isn't going to help you, and being pittied for it by people on the internet won't either.

and OP, you might not want to read this:
Really? Harmless? Ever heard of a black widow? what about a brown recluse? Because after being bitten by the latter your arm will begin to literally dissolve off the bone.

Really, grow up and get over the fear. And I am not saying start touching and playing with spiders, I don't even do that, but at least get to the point where you see a spider, you just shrug and move on. You are hurting your self by letting the fear prevail.

And if you think Notch will change the game just to suit your personal problem, think again. Either get over yourself or don't play Minecraft. The former being the better choice.

do you know what a phobia is? it is called and irrational fear for a reason. it is literally impossible to help.

The first step to solving a personal problem like that is admitting you have a problem. The second step is doing something about it. If you believe there is no help, then there is no help. If you had half a brain, you would know anything phobia can be cured. It just requires you to not be an idiot.

Im afraid of heights. I literally will not go next to a railing that is not solid metal. I will not look over the edge of anything more then 2 stories high. But, I know it is a problem, and I am slowly forcing myself to do these things.

What?!?! you are afraid of hights? what a wimp! I cant belive you are so dumb to think you are going to fly off a cliff if you go near a hight! get over yourself and CERTAINLY dont ask anyone to give you advice on how to avoid heights!

You see? are you any more cured because I insulted you? I thought not.

To the guy with the swirly avatar: Yes, I know they have been "cured" in the past. but the other guy's approach of "get over yourself" simply isn't a treatment plan. it is criticism.

but lets not flood this nice person's thread.

Flowzor, I was just saying that so that everyone will stop telling me to "man up" when I'm the opposite sex. I think both sexes are equal, but I'm female. So I was correcting everyone.

I'm not doing any underwater projects now, so I don't think I'll put in a mod just yet. Just seeing them on the floor of the bay I'm building around is fine by me. They are very far away. Actually I think they might be stuck in an underwater cavern now or something... o_O
Anyways, if they become a problem I'll more than likely have to do something like retexturing or whatever you do to them.

I've actually been trying to find someone who has as much of a fear of spiders as I do, I mean, I don't cry, but I whine like a little girl (I'm a 19 year old male in college)

Anytime I see a spider I instantly run to the furthest room I can and stand on something so as to not be on the floor, while I look for something at least a few feet long to kill it with. If i'm at home and my mother is there I have her kill them.

Me and you should start a server for us, and we could build a house in the sky so those bastards can't get us :smile.gif:

    You definitely aren't alone

XD Yeah well I would only join a server if there's no spiders so...And I have gone to the point of crying so many times because of the little monsters...I really don't want to be completely turned off from MC because of the constant spiders. So I turn on peaceful and the menace is gone, until the squids came around...
I guess that jellyfish incident I went through ten years ago doesn't help. It's like jellyfish and spiders mated and those MC squids are their spawn :Notch:

Also, I don't know how to start servers or anything so you would have to start it. And as a sidenote; the instant I hear/see any hostile mobs in it, I'm gone. I'm not afraid of the creepers and such(even though I probably should be) but if they are there then spiders are there for sure.

if you didnt want to play on peaceful you could even make the spider legs invisible and make them big flying bumble bees or something. or a hawk or something of the sort. I hate to keep advertising texturepacks but every time you post I wish I could help you.
