Liking a show that's intended for young girls isn't bad if you're a guy. The "good" bronies (the ones that don't clop or shove the fan base in people's faces) are usually adult males with young daughters that watch the show with them. Through over exposure, they learned to like the show. Is that such a bad thing?
I have a good memory. I can read an entire unit of a textbook and remember roughly 95% of it on the first run through. Naturally, this makes it extremely easy for me in school. Unfortunately, this talent doesn't work in math. For some reason, my mind can't easily process the different formulas that are listed. Probably because they don't make any sense logistically like words do.
I think that they'll be releasing Destiny at around the same time that the next generation consoles will be released. The whole reason why they'll be releasing the games for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 is for the people who can't afford to purchase the new consoles. Personally, I love that idea because they thought of people with lower incomes that can't afford to pay the $400 and $500 price tags. I believe they're doing the same thing for Watch Dogs and Call of Duty: Ghosts as well.
As for which console that Destiny will be better on, it will be the PlayStation 4 hands down. The console has more powerful hardware inside of it than the Xbox 360 and Bungie has already said that they will be releasing exclusive content for the PS4 users only. If anyone has seen the from E3, all of that was captured with the PlayStation 4. That's just a small portion of what the next generation consoles graphics will look like. It's a huge step up.
I was extremely excited about the announcement of the game. Hopefully, now that Disney owns the right to Star Wars, we can get a Star Wars themed level.
Someone once asked the Dalai Lama what surprises him most. This was his response:
“Man, because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then he dies having never really lived.”
After reading that one day, I always go to bed asking myself the same thing: what will tomorrow be like and how will I handle it? I want to make the most out of my life. I don't want to lay on my death bed regretting things that I wish I could have done, so I try to be as nice to people as possible no matter what. Even if they don't like me, I still try to show them love because there's already enough hate in this world.
I can't afford to shell out money for a gaming computer. It's just too much money for one that's already made, and I don't know enough about computers to make my own. Also, I was raised with consoles, so I'll always prefer them over something else. I just have some sort of attachment towards them.
That being said, I would probably be getting the PlayStation 4 when it comes out. The Xbox One has more exclusives, but the PlayStation 4's pros far outweigh the Xbox One's exclusives and it's cons.
Speaking of which, I found a very funny comic on the web while I was searching about the PlayStation 4 vs. the Xbox One. No offense intended for Xbox One fans.
When Disney bought Star Wars from George Lucas, they shut down the section that dealt with Star Wars video games. However, instead of cancelling everything that was being worked on there, they outsourced all of those ideas to game companies that wanted them.
I believe EA has Battlefront 3. The top ones that I'm interested are Battlefront 3 and Star Wars 1313. However, no one has picked up the idea for 1313 yet, but I'm hoping that someone will. Look it up; it's an incredibly interesting game.
At any rate, I've already asked what I could do to get another PC from my parents, and basically it all sums up to me getting a job over the summer or selling stuff. I'm going to sell my 360 + all my games, as well as my Kindle Fire HD, and that should put me at 400-500 dollars. After that, I'll probably get a PC from Ironside Computers when I earn about ~200 dollars.
Although, I am a bit desperate, (since summer vacation starts 3 days later), and getting the 500 dollars will probably only take a couple weeks from selling stuff.
I've got the whole build setup at a price of about $500 thanks to Google.
For those that want the specific build:
Motherboard - MSI 880GMS-E41 CPU - AMD FX-4170 RAM - G.SKILL NS 4GB (2 x 2GB) Hard Drive - Seagate Barracuda ST500DM002 500GB DVD Rom - LG 24X DVD Burner GPU - SAPPHIRE 100357LP Radeon HD 7750 1GB Case + PSU - APEVIA X-QBOII X-QBOII-NW-BK/500 (500 watt)
Do you guys think this is a good budget for a PC? Or do you think I should just take the job and get more money?
I'd recommend getting a job and keeping all of your stuff. Think of it like this: minimum wage is $7.85 (I don't know if you live in the U.S., but I'm just going to assume so for simplicity's sake), so if you get a job at say McDonalds (who is always hiring, by the way) you can easily work fifteen hours a week (three days, five hours each. You get four whole days to yourself. Obviously, you can work more than that if you feel like and want to earn the computer faster).
15 * 7.85 = $117.25 per week
117.25 * 2 = $235.50 (this is your check since McDonald's pay day is biweekly. Subtract taxes and whatnot and you'll probably be left with $200)
200 * 2 = $400 a month
400 * 2.5 (I'm assuming your summer is two and a half months long if you go back in the middle of August) = $1000
So just working three days a week for five hours a day is going to net you $1000 if you worked over the summer. That's enough for you to probably build a better computer than the one you had and still keep all of your belongings.
The PS4 will cost $399 USD and the Xbox One will cost $499 USD. Not to mention that Microsoft requires that it's members pay $60 a year in order to play online with their servers while the PlayStation Network is free. With the Xbox One doing DRMs and forcing people to pay for their service, they've basically shot themselves in both feet.
Also, considering the fact that the PS4 has better hardware inside of it than the Xbox One, the fact that both aren't backwards compatible, and it's nearly $100 cheaper, many gamers are going to switch from Xbox to PlayStation. Sony has won the console war.
Yeah, but if it's one thing that Sony's good at, it's learning from their mistakes. If something bad happens, they try to correct it and prevent it from happening again. I'm sure that if Sony runs into problems, they'll be sure to take care of it as soon as possible. This is their chance to finally beat Microsoft in the gaming industry.
Oh god.... That controller... It reminds me of the Virtual Boy... I hope it does a bit better then the failed console with like 7 games TOTAL.
I don't foresee it being too much of a problem. If anything, the only potential problem I see is if you accidentally touched the middle pad and it paused your game constantly. However, I don't see that happening too much. Sony's been pretty good at creating controllers. However, it is going to take a bit of getting used to for me since I'm used to the left analog stick being where the D-pad is and the D-pad being where the left analog stick is.
I've always used Google for pretty much everything. I tried out Bing for a little bit, but it never appealed to me as much as Google did. Most people like to stick with one search engine, and it's usually the one that they've spent the most time with. Some people are Google fans, some are Yahoo fans, and some are Bing fans. In all honesty, I think the main thing that attracts people to Bing are the images.
A-ha! It works! Thank you for the help, both of you. You both helped me a lot with this problem. Thanks Atkana for telling me about the bbcode, and thank you cestislife for explaining the hyperlink to me.

Can someone explain to me the appeal of the Wii U? I honestly don't see why everyone is up in arms over it. What's special about it?
