Not sure where to post this, so just gonna post it here.
Is there anyway to change your name in multiplayer mode?
No, not yet anyway.. I have been bothering Notch for nearly a month about this to no avail. Please help me by emailing him and tweeting. Hopefully, with enough people, something will be done.
There are a number of combat techniques and I am surprised this technique is not getting noted.
I call them "Combat Pillars and Pits".
When you see a mob, simply place two blocks on place of one another and hide behind it. Some may know this as "pillar kiting". It works on any mob (yes, any). You make sure that the mob is on the other side of the pillar and simply take pot-shots at it from the edges. Skeletons will not be able to shoot you, spiders cannot jump over it, creepers are out of range (2), and zombies are just stupid anyway.
Furthermore, another good tip that I find works a lot is using pits to their fullest extent. If a creeper explodes nearby, they usually make the best combat pits. After they explode, dig just an additional 3x3 hole in the center. Then, pour water from the edges. This pit can now drown any mob that foolishly falls into it.
Another good stationary defense is cacti trenches. Dig a trench and then place cacti beside it. You can then run to the other side of the trench and wait for the mobs to try and get you. They ought to fall into the trench and by the time they are able to (if they even can) get out of the trench, the cacti usually kills them or leaves very little health left. It is a good defense to have as a perimeter.
I personally use these things in combination for my "battlefield" which is really a large area with several pillars and pits with a cacti trench entrance/exit. Because of this battlefield, I have an enormous supply of gun powder and arrows.
I wanted to note that using lava is a terrible combat idea because it destroys the items they will drop. You could let lava flow freely over land to give a chance that the items do not fall into the lava, but then you risk yourself getting burnt and the lava running freely. The same goes for fire, for the most part, but I rarely, if ever, use fire in a combative way. Fire seems to be effective in the same way as the cacti trench, but I honestly just find cacti to be the most effective. If it's a worry of skeletons being able to shoot through them, just add another trench row and it will make it all the more difficult for them to aim at you while you just wait for them to die.
Unless you have older save points (like a computers restore points) I don't see how you could. Enjoy rebuilding or just run to a new area in the world and start again? What's the attachment?
If you read the original post, you will see that more than just dales were taken into consideration. For exame, "Twist" by Chubby Checkers (the best selling song ever) is not even on the list.
Also, this is the best means to objection rather than subjection actually. If you can think of better means, be my guest but pardon me when I don't have confidence in an alternative than these collaborative resources.
I agree about Bob Dylan because I can't stand him but he is apparently very popular..
While songs like Mack the Knife have made more sales than almost all the songs on the list, it doesn't win against other variables like ratings between people and musicians. Just a conglomerate poll.
Ok, burn me if you want for not being able to search the answer but..
When I try to open and edit a .png file, any places where there is supposed to be transparency brings up white blocks in the game. How do you properly edit these files..? What am I missing?
I like all of those songs, except the Nirvana one, but I dont think they can be called the best.
Well, really any art form is subjective so the best way to objectify any art is only based on sales or rating. Hence, basing song on sales or rating, these come up as the "best". If you are obstinate to ascribing the best songs to your own personal preference, then your obduracy to subjection rebuffs objective approaches like this.

You go ahead and look at the stats and show me how it is inaccurate. It is not my opinion.

I wasn't being sarcastic. I'm sorry it came off that way.
Oh, ok cool. I think I am just used to trolls.. wow.
As for Michael Jackson, I found that "Billie Jean" actually did more sales than Thriller. I think Thriller was really just notable for it's music video. For example, on YouTube, Thriller gets around 78m views whereas Billie Jean gets 49m. However, Billie Jean is the only song of Michael Jacksons to be in the Top 100 Billboard songs of all time (based on sales).
