Hello, not much to say, so I'll just post the application:

Describe your server idea: The idea is to have an almost MMO-like server with a custom made map. I've already made this map via world painter, and it is 4860 blocks wide, 3060 blocks tall(If you would like to see the map, contact me and I will email it to you). The inital spawn is on a large island off the mainland, and untrusted players would be unable to leave said island. Once accepted onto the mainland, players would be able to take a "ship" (a warp sign on a ship) to any of 3 other islands. 2 islands are simply other places to go, while the 3rd is a prison island. Rather than ban players for excessive swearing, racism etc., they would be sent to this prison island, which would function like many prison servers, but with only a few ranks. Freedom would return them to the mainland. (Hackers and major griefers would still be banned)While a few large port cities would be constructed before launch, few other cities would exist. Players would be able to found cities via Towny. In order to avoid lots of failed tiny towns and villages, the price to found a town would have to be relatively high.I also plan on including relics, about 50+ custom items scattered throughout the world, these would have very good enchantments or stats, and be extremely valuable. This would not require a plugin, as the relics could be hand-made.
Why you want this server: I just wanted a server I could play, similar to this. I couldn't find any, so I decided to come up with one myself. I might not get to actually play, but at least people like me could.On a scale of 1-10, how badly do you want the server?: 8.5
Proposed Plugins: (Bukkit) WorldEdit, Towny, Essentials, PermissionsEx, Hawkeye/worldguard or something similar, sign shops
Donation Plan: I'm not very sure on this yet, but there will be at least one donor rank, which allows access to a 4th island rich with resources that only donors can acess. Probably around $10.
Do you already have a community? If so, how many active players? If not, how will you be getting players?: Other than around 10 friends who would play if I were to set this up, I don't really have a community. I would get at least 5 guys to help me build and set up this server. Otherwise, advertising via the forums and planetminecraft would be a place to start, and I could go from there.What makes your server special?: Why should I join your server instead of that other server?: It combines the aspects of survival, towny/factions servers, and prison servers in to one. A customized map isn't something you see a lot with other servers, and special items are rare too.
Is there a reason why you can't pay for this server?: My family is tight on money at the moment, and they aren't going to give me $20 a month to buy a minecraft server.
What is your preferred method of contact?: My steam account is OnlyThePie, but PM works too.

So my dad and I each have an account on our computer, but whenever i install something, a shortcut for it shows up on both of our desktops, can I make it so the shortcut only shows up on mine? or not at all?

Yes but can i make it so certain groups are only allowed to warp certain places? Because i thought you could only just warp, or not warp.

I'm working on a server with some friends that has one large landmass, and a few smaller ones (We custom-built the map). I want to know if there is a way to restrict access to certain islands to only certain players. For instance, I want only people who have donated can go to "Donator Island", is there a way to restrict that?

I'm doubtful of this site, but it would be great if it was real. They have a setup where before you can download, you must "Support one of our sponsors" I haven't downloaded any yet, but I'm fairly sure the first option from this "sponsors" list is a Trojan Virus. I'm not sure if that means the others are too

Odo CreativeBasic Info:Odo is a simple creative server. Though we've been around for more than a year, our hoster recently stopped hosting. We just recently acquied a new hoster, so we now have a fresh start. The worlds are mostly build free, except right near the spawn, so there's plenty of room to build. (This is a reflecting pool, its hard to tell in this picture.)Features:

Ranks:--Guest--Member--Builder--Designer--Constructor--Architect--Then a choice: Draftsman, Redstoner, or Artist. These increase numberically (artist1, artist2, artist3 etc.) The draftsman ranks by building structures, the Redstoner, by redstone, and the artist with pixelart-----------Admin--Owner. All Ranks until Moderator are simply build to rank up. Ask any Admin or higher to review a build.

Why are you running the race in creative? People would just fly their way to the end, or over hard obstacles, only the players who are honest enough not to cheat would run it right. Otherwise, this looks awesome,

The reason they are invincible during their animation is so they can finish the animation. I feel like interrupting it would be less fun.

I know You think they should be aggressive, but how about making them sometimes aggressive and sometimes not? Being charged by a bear that stops a few steps ahead of you, starts sniffing on you then goes away could be pretty fun. Or maybe you could avoid them by throwing away meat or something.

Bears are sort of aggressive and sort of not, which I think would make an interesting mob. Also since they can climb and swim and everything it would make for some interesting pursuits. Close the door - bear knocks it down. Climb onto the roof - bear climbs up as well. Jump into the water - bear comes swimming after you.

Maybe its a bit over ambitious tho, all of that...
