    If you want you could maybe change your version to be more legitly crafted and I could link to that as an alternate "challenge" edition. _303's was thrown together rather quickly and just gives you a stack for a piece of dirt, more of an experimentation tool.

    That's ok. 303's version is probably better anyway :wink.gif:
    I'm a bit tired right now, but I'll try adding a recipe for my version's cauldron tomorrow.

I swam there and found tons of seeds, lots of animals, even many pumpkins, and eventually some exposed iron near a surface cave. As if I needed food with my food meter still at full... I stopped playing before I could explore the whole island.

    Kinda the opposite of what I imagined!


    I wasn't keeping track of what direction I went. Clearly I did not go east. :blink.gif:

    Yes, it will be save-breaking if the official 1.9 does not include them with the same block id of 116. You'll need to remove all of them from your world and inventory before updating to the official 1.9 when it comes out.

    I made up the unobfuscated names for all of them (except Block).

    Anyway, I'm having problems recompiling the obfuscated Block.class, so I might just add the block cauldron declaration to the qj.class (BiomeGenOcean.class). I'll tell you guys how it goes.

    Ok, so I looked through pre-release #2's code to figure out how to add the cauldron. It looks pretty simple. Basically, you need to decompile and open up the mq.class (Block.class), and add a line that adds the new Cauldron block. Here are the relevant class files:

    mq.class (Block.class)
    to.class (BlockCauldron.class)
    abv.class (BlockAbstractCauldron.class)
    yf.class (TileEntityCauldron.class)

    I will see if I can do it.

    So, I decided to try out the new Hardcore mode (hard difficulty), and I spawned in the middle of the ocean. After about 15 minutes of swimming in one direction, I finally found an island with tall grass and a single tree on it, just as my hunger was about half way down. It was night at the time, which was good for me, since there were monsters on the island. After taking out multiple monsters (and avoiding the Endermen), I managed to get a few rotten flesh to curb my hunger.

    Unfortunately, daytime came about a minute after I had arrived. My hunger was decreasing fast, and with no options for food, I started to panic. I crafted myself some wooden and stone tools, and just started digging a staircase down into the ground. Just as my hunger bar was down to 1/2 bar, I managed to break into a cave with monsters in it. After that encounter, I had gained more rotten flesh and bones, and was able to save myself from starvation.

    I went back to the surface of my island, and used some bonemeal to grow some crops. The resulting bread filled my hunger bar back to around 60%. Everything was finally looking up...

    ...and then night came and I got swarmed by monsters and died. :sad.gif:


    If anyone else wants to try surviving in this world, here's a screenshot with the seed for this endless ocean world:

    Have you tried modifying the configuration file to reduce the spawn rate of Builders or the maximum number of each Builder that will spawn at any given time? That might help your lag problems.

    I am around 20% done with Expeditions. When I finish them, I will update the mod. I have also added some new (untested) commands for Explorers and Home Seekers. It will be possible to instruct Explorers to guard a location or patrol around a specific location. It will also be possible to instruct Home Seekers to gather items for you (at a cost).

    Expect an update for this mod by 1.9's official release, if not sooner.

    I am still working on the Expanded Worldgen. I had to do some recoding. It will be ready shortly.
    There actually are 9 mods updated for 1.8.1, but I had forgot to change the "1.73" for Talking Pigs in the index to "1.8.1".

    I will probably be updating Nature Staff and Teleport Sword very soon, with the finished Worldgen next, and the updated Survivor NPCs last.

    I will work on adding a config file for that when I get some time. I also plan to make two versions of the mod for the official 1.9: ModLoader version and non-ModLoader version (which modifies one existing class file).
