If you think it's so easy, please by all means go ahead and port it over. It's open source now so you have no reason not to do it your self.
If you don't know Java then learn it but I'll warn you, learning a computer language is exactly like learning another human language so please tell me just how simple you think it is.

As mentioned before, it is not out of laziness, computer programming is not by any means an easy thing to do, causing many modders to run out of time and motivation. I love the mod too but modders are taken for granted because they are humans too and they have lives and jobs and school and sometimes other people to take care of.

Brutal stated before the the 1.6.4 code was "all over the place" and needed to be "cleaned" up. So how about we start there first? If the code is all over the place it will be that much difficult to get it to 1.7.10
But if it's being re-written from scratch it's a different story.
Any way you look at it, it will take time.

Just a crazy, but interesting, idea for the far future could be NPC ships like pirates or NPC navies. You have a choice of fighting them, possibly gaining loot, staying neutral, or help them, possibly gaining their support for something in the future (I.E if your in need of help they could spawn a ship near you to help with a battle).

I liked this mod when i was playing 1.6.4 and just noticed the update for 1.7.10. So thanks for that!
But is it just me or is there no way to tell what module on the Power Glove is active? I've set "Chat message when toggling modules"=true but it shows nothing in chat and its hard to tell which module is active especially with all the merged/new Addons.
That must be a bug.
But meanwhile, you can open the Tinker Table's keybinder and right-click on the module icons to add them to the HUD.

FTB has a button that allows you to add/remove mods and all packs have a folder so you can put mods in your self
you can make a server for you and your friends only
none have all the mods and im not quite sure what that means
i got some mods i liked together in a personal modpack that crashes at least every hour so making a throwing mods that you want in a folder is not always a good idea
its very very easy to make modpacks you simply put mods a bin and configs in a folder and 7zip it upload it to dropbox and post the address where someone can find it

are you using 1.8? i have a texture pack that is made for 1.7.2 and when i go to 1.8 the human heads have this bug

most of the time every thing gets retextured so tools blocks everything looks different
