    This is a weird situation because the mod is loading fine for me in curse, multiMc and my dev environment. However, when I have sent the mod to a friend to try out he is getting a weird crash. Any help would be greatly appreciated:

    I want to trigger a SubscribeEvent but only the first time a player joins the server? The only thing the event is going to do is make it rain. I can make it sort of work without the check for first time join, but I am having issues checking if the player has joined the server before? This means everytime they leave and re-join the server the rain starts again. Needs to work on Minecraft versions 1.10 and 1.11.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    I am currently working on a new idea for a mod, but have gotten a little stumped. I want it to be that when an item is dropped (by a player or machine, such as a dropper) the item would despawn and a mob would spawn in its place. I know this should be simple but I am completely stumped. I have been trying to accomplish this with a ItemTossEvent, which is semi-successful.

    There is a couple of issues however:

    1) The item immediately despawns, so you do not even see it. Which I want it to be there for like a second if possible.

    2) It does not work with droppers and such.

    3) The mobs are spawning in random orientation instead of where the item lands, which is what I wanted.


    So I went into another option which is to create a custom EntityThrowable. This kind of works, except I could not get a custom particle to work so it still shows nothing and a mob just spawns. And it also does not work with droppers.


    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Yes sorry I want the original mod (Dimensional Pockets) to be brought up to 1.11. As far as licenses go, from what I understand, we are good as its open source and the mod author is a really cool guy. He has some other major commitments in real life so cant work on it currently. I dunno just wanted to see what the community could come up with as for solutions :D thanks anyway

    One of my favourite mods of all time is looking like it may die out with 1.7.10, sadly the currently owner of the mod does not have time, due to RL commitments, to port the mod. However, I have a modpack on 1.7.10 currently I would love to bring over to 1.11, but I need this mod its like the main mod used for the pack.

    If anyone could port it and update it that would be AMAZING!!!

    Hi,

    You cannot do anything about that issue. It is down to the mod developer to include the mcmod.info file. If they have not done that then you cannot do anything about it. Although, all that particular file does is give you, the end user, some information about the mod, such as; who made it, a brief description, etc. It is purely informational and will not affect the running of the mod at all. If the mod appears in the 'Mods' list then it has loaded fine.
