    Yes it has.
IIRC, Spigot, SportBukkit, SpaceBukkit, etc. are all on 1.7.

Nope. Those servers are running 1.6.4 but are configured to be compatible with 1.7. There are no new features of 1.7 present.

Small update on my part. Overhauled the icons.png:

    - Carrots for horse health and fancy blended jump bar.
    - Added a little depth to empty hearts, food things, and bars.
    - Little color tweak to the network strength indicator.

I know this stuff has been done already, but I thought I'd share my versions...

Also made a lightmap to be used with Optifine and MCpatcher:

In-game shot (no shaders or funny business):

Ahh yes, that's what I thought you meant. That was actually part of the set that I did, and Nybb1es didn't retexture that one, so it doesn't fit with the rest. Might make some sort of temporary fix until he gets around too it :3

Huzzah! Just finished this an hour ago. Wend kind of a different direction and made it a bricky block. If you guys don't like it, I can do something more like the default pack.

Hey all. Been a while. I did some more textures.. Here's what I got.

I touched up hellrock to give it more depth and color variation, reduced the dither on cobble (it's a taste thing), redid iron fences to give them more versatility, nether brick, brick blocks and all of quartz done except for chiseled. Also gave ferns little brown stem things.

On top of that, I animated the fire in furnaces, jack-o's and even gave diamond ore a little glint. Emerald will get one too when I get around to it. I can't be bothered to make gifs of each, but trust me, it looks pretty alright. Ooh, and I went through and did all of the ctm png's of glass. Pain in the ass, but worth it.

    zip down below.

    Quote from Mackinz

Thanks for proving my thought process that Single Player games have no balance and are purely for fun.

I don't mean to get hung up on this point, but again, this is really terrible reasoning... First of all, ALL games are purely for fun. A game's primary purpose is to entertain. Second, those games most certainly do have balance; more so than Minecraft. You cannot do whatever you want whenever you want in them. Single player games often put you in control of a character with superhuman abilities simply because it's more entertaining. It doesn't mean the games are easy or there is no 'balance'. Think back to Mega Man, Metriod, or Gradius. Those games are hard as hell the first time around.

And in regards to your argument about things not having to make sense outside of the minecraft universe, I get that. Some things should be a certain way to maintain good game-play regardless of their feasibility in the real world. Take the Gradius for example. Gravity is mirrored on the ceiling. Does that make sense? No, but otherwise the duckers wouldn't be able to traipse about on the ceiling shooting shiny rocks at you. ;)

This point is moot and neither in favor nor against your stance. In Minecraft, Trees grow without water in the nether just as green penis men blow up your house. Ergo, If you say that it is necessary and worth changing a vital game mechanic to preserve the relationship between trees and water, then we must also remove everything else that doesn't make sense. viz. the aforementioned penis men.

All that being said, I think the idea of having another, unique liquid in the nether is fascinating. Maybe mercury? Or oil? I dunno. I'm not against another liquid, I just think water is out of place in the nether. Aside from the balance issues, water isn't suited for a hell like environment.

In fact, I don't understand why people are going on about balance issues. If we're going to talk balance, Steve is the most Overpowered thing in the game ever.

This is one of the most ridiculous arguments I have ever heard. What about Mario in all of his games? Or Link? Or Kirby?

Why are you so intent on 'taming' the nether? If you make it exactly like the overworld, what's the point? I know this is a sandbox game and people like to do different things, but I really don't understand this. You're going to put all of the associated balance issues aside just so you can decorate the nether and build your mob traps and such...?

The nether is meant to be a totally different, more difficult, world. Yet, there are few inherent differences between it and the overworld. One difference is the inability to place water. The only other (aside from the natural terrain), I believe, is the color of the sky.

Yes, I can read, and I know other people have suggested this. I just think that my idea is less contrived. There don't need to be superfluous details like additional pockets and customizations to have something as simple as a backpack.

Step 1) Fill up a backpack except for last square
Step 2) Put a backpack in that, open that backpack
Step 3) REPEAT FOR INFINITE INVENTORY!

That's been my argument for every backpacks thread.

    No support.

Okay, but because you wear it like armor, you would not be able to stack it... Unless there are more armor slots within the backpack? But that's ridiculous because of your above reasoning and because of physics.

I know backpacks and satchels have been suggested before as items to increase your inventory size. There's a mod for it too. I think, however, that it's a bit overpowered (from what I've seen of the mod). It's like being able to walk around with a portable chest...

What if, as a trade off, you would wear a backpack in place of your chest plate? It would expand your inventory by one horizontal row. Or less, even. It would not add any armor protection. Having extra inventory space would be really useful. Especially useful since the advent of different wooden planks. I suppose it should be crafted from leather... and iron? I don't think it should be available immediately.

I don't know. Just throwing it out there. What do you guys think?
