    It is done! There will be another to come from a channel that is not my own, but this should be more than enough to prove it works. :-)

    Sure! I'll get on that now, and I'll probably feature one from my friend when she finishes. :-)

    This is a *really* simple one, but I figured I may as well share it.

    I had a friend who wanted to track the enderdragon's natural movement, without the dragon
    targeting nearby players and disrupting its pattern. Apparently invisibility/creative mode
    didn't work, so the only option was to modify the code to make the dragon effectively
    passive. This could have additional use for players who want to explore the end safely
    without killing the dragon (like keeping a wildly destructive pet in your new back yard).

    - All of the dragons behaviors are per usual, except that it no longer targets players.

    -This modifies EntityDragon.java (the "qz.class" file). Other mods that use this will be incompatible.

    -This does not use ModLoader. You will have to access your minecraft.jar, drop in this class
    (replacing the old one), and delete your META-INF folder for it to work properly.

    I've played through the first couple of areas thus far, and I'm loving what I see so far. Assuming you don't mind, I'll go ahead and LP it, and probably share my thoughts along the way (haven't played through a CTM map on my channel yet, and figured it'd be a welcome break from my UHC stuff). If you'd like, I can post the first video here when it's up. Keep up the good work!

    Yep, sure did! Seems obvious in retrospect; I just didn't think to try. Thanks a lot, and it works exactly the way I was hoping it would! This should be pretty interesting and awesome. :)

    Would you consider updating this so it could alter the other dimensions as well as the Overworld? Is there an easy way to get this program to do this now?

    Can this do other dimensions (the Nether and the End)? I believe they store biome information in the same manner, and it would be incredibly helpful for what I'm doing. :)

    To clarify, I need to change Nether biome information from the "Hell" biome (in which Nether mobs spawn) to an Overworld biome of some kind. I know for sure that Nether mobs' spawn conditions are directly linked to the biome type, as I've toyed with tweaking Overworld biomes before. This would be the inverse, so things like no day/night cycle, unusual lava flow, no sleeping and so on would still function, but normal Overworld mobs would spawn. If you could do this, I'd be very grateful.

    posted a message on The FLEECE Race v1.2! (for Minecraft v1.2.5)
    NoviBliss' First/Last Endeavor towards an
    Extensive Competitive... Epic Race!

    Looking for a competitive multiplayer experience that no-one's heard of yet?
    Looking for a RFW-style map that can easily provide 2+ hours of gameplay?
    Looking for a large-scale arena with diverse and detailed environments?

    Your search may be over.

    Download here (MediaFire): http://www.mediafire...naii5ck2p7opac6

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    More information:
    - This is a competitive multiplayer map, in the style of Vechs' well-known "Race for Wool" maps. For those unfamiliar, it is basically a competitive CTM map, in which two teams race to collect different colored wools from dungeons located along two identical (reflected) lanes. Each team may only travel within their own lane. For more rules and help, you may view the included README, look up the various RFW videos on Youtube, or check out my totally comprehensive* tutorial within the map itself (*not comprehensive or comprehensible).
    - This is a long map. In terms of its longest dimension, it is twice the length of Vechs' "Direct Fire". If racing for all five wool (on normal, 4v4), expect matches to go from 1 hr 30 min - 3 hrs. This map can comfortably accommodate twelve players, perhaps more. If playing with less than 4v4, you should consider adjusting the difficulty, or playing for specific wools only, at your own discretion (read README for more information).
    - This map has a few minecart traps activated via fishing rod. You should practice that at least once (there is a place on the spawning platform).
    - There is a good deal of PvE on this map, especially for the first two wools. Mobs should be turned on, but remember that you are free to adjust the difficulty as you like.
    - Read the README.
    Walkthrough/Commentary (a bit long):
    Timelapse'd SSP playthrough (for the 1.2 version; very long vid):
    - If I can get someone to give me some decent footage of the map in action (SMP), I'd be happy to put it here.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Change list for The FLEECE Race 1.2:

    - Either lessened PvE or made overcoming such obstacles easier in many places.
    - In general, made frustrating areas (Wool II!) less frustrating (but still difficult).
    - Tried to prevent TNT targets/traps from firing chaos-cannon-style into the opponents' lane.
    - Made navigation in areas a bit easier, also tried to add more visual cues for those who may get lost.
    - Fixed a bit of the pre-laid track.
    - Fixed a couple of double chests and signs that were messed up in one of the lanes (MCedit does that; I have to replace those manually).
    - Made loot chests and dispensers less "random"/disorganized, especially those earlier into the map.
    - Improved loot in places.
    - Pumpkin Man has been upgraded to level 2, gaining a new staff and more powerful protective spells with which to defend the farm area.
    - Added two additional enchanting tables to each lane. I really want players to take advantage of them!
    - Several other small tweaks and changes.

    Permissions:

    You MAY:
    - Use video and images of gameplay on this map (or the map in general), and monetize it if you like.
    - Alter or "remix" this map, and distribute your own version, WITH MY PERMISSION. I don't want people replacing a sign and attempting to monetize an exact clone of my map. Don't worry; I should respond quickly if you contact me via Twitter (twitter.com/#!/NoviBliss).

    You MAY NOT:
    - Redistribute the original map (or a map using some of my original content where my consent was not given) for commercial purposes. Simple enough.

    With any content featuring this map, I'd ask that you don't forget to attribute that map itself to me. A simple link to this thread can be a world of help.

    "Multiplayer" seems a bit generic... could we use something like "PvP" to distinguish such arenas (and RFW maps) from cooperative multiplayer?

    posted a message on [Multi] NoviBliss' FLEECE Race!

    NoviBliss' FLEECE Race

    (Until I get a proper graphic)

    Okay, so my original post got a bit glitched out after I tried to edit in a new link, so we're back to square 1! I guess the general public didn't enjoy my sense of humor, so I'm going to be as straightforward with this as possible. No nonsense!

    I am here to talk about a COMPETITIVE MULTIPLAYER map. I realize that this limits my audience a great deal, but I urge anyone with any interest in this sort of gameplay to at least give me a fighting chance. I have made every effort to deliver the community a unique, polished product. I never let mistakes slide, nor did I cut corners and sacrifice my overall vision of this thing. I can't say, this being such an early release, that it will be perfect, but I know that I will never stop responding to feedback -- I will always strive to improve.

    This map is a "Race for Wool" style map,  by which I mean the overall concept (the objective and side-by-side layout) was derived from a couple of maps done by Vechs, who most of the readers here will know. If you aren't familiar with these maps, I'd first like to point out that looking up these maps (say, on Youtube), as well as reading my included README file in the download, will be the best way to learn the finer details -- but I can give you a basic idea.

    • Players are divided into two teams, and each team competes from a separate, but identical (mirrored) lane.
    • Players may not cross directly into the other team's lane, but can use a variety of long-range tactics to hinder the progress of their opponents.
    • Each team competes to collect each colored Wool from within their lane, and return it to their Monument. The first to collect every wool wins.
    • Within very basic rules, anything that players can do in vanilla Minecraft can be used (collect resources, break and build structures, craft, brew, enchant).

    Obviously, I'm not the first to do this. You need to know that my map, specifically, is worth playing. I have lots of pictures, if you'd like, but you may also want to view one or both of the Youtube videos I'll put below. One is a 20-minute walkthrough (this is a huge map, admittedly) and the other is my first ever attempt at a trailer-type thing.

    I again ask that you please read the included README file

    before playing. Feel free to contact me with more

    questions, via PMs here, or Twitter (@NoviBliss)

    Download (adfly) -- http://adf.ly/63bVM

    I don't expect to make a lot with that, but it's also a convenient way for me to keep track of

    all of my downloads (for different things). I'd prefer you use that link, but if you can't, use the following:

    Download (direct) -- http://www.fileswap.com/dl/NpJhsaZEtg/NoviBliss%27_FLEECE_Race_v1.0.zip.html#

    Let me know if there are any issues with the links, or the download. Also, let me know if you enjoy the map! I would like to once again thank you for at least looking this thread over, and I hope that I have managed to at least bring a few of you an enjoyable product!
