Overclocking your CPU can easily get you 50% FPS boost (from 3.8 to 4.2 Ghz) from my experience, and along with that my mid-ended 260x easily scores 60 fps average, 45 fps min, and 120 fps max with Seus preview 10.1. All of this is on 1366x768 monitor with the best possible amd catalyst settings, default texturepack, and maxed out default mc options. Now, the high-ended gtx 770 is literally more than twice the power of a 260x, so it will run a lot better logically speaking ; however, If you're going for straight 1080p I don't know the results.

Your cpu is fine, motherboard is a little overpriced -- you should try using MSI G45 gaming edition(http://www.newegg.co...N82E16813130693), don't know much about the ram, video card is beast, you honestly don't need an SSD unless you really hate waiting 1 minute for your pc to boot up, optical drive is well priced, this PSU would be enough for you http://www.newegg.co...N82E16817438014, case is ok, cpu cooler is ok, you should stick with windows 7.

Thanks so much for the advice man. I'll make good consideration on it when I'm buying my parts. :)

Honestly I don't know much about FTB, but a perfectly constant 60fps is near to impossible to reach.

Let's make it simple, shaders need a mid-range video card to work fine and a decent quadcore to run smoothly in a non resource demanding place.

If you want to play in high resolution (1080p or higher) then a powerful graphic card is required, mostly when it's rainy.
    I myself have an i7-3770 with 8gb RAM + gtx670 (oc, a little better than a stock 680) playing in 1080p,
and I can tell you my fps drop from 60 to 40 in 1080p resolution due to rain. But in 720p it's a good 60fps.
Graphic cards with lots of RAM are good for 1024x texture packs.

Ok, now if you're sure you'll play in a resource intensive evironment, with many circuits and operations where the calculus are insane for a cpu, then you'll need more than a i7-4770, probably two with shaders enabled!

    Depends on your budget :P

    @ MonthOLDpickle :

    I changed the variable of + final.torchlight and + final.glow.torch by :
    + final.torchlight * 10.0f
    + final.glow.torch * 10f

Seems better looking for me ^^ Don't delete any lines, they all are needed!

Thanks for your help, I think I'll just run with a i7-4770K or maybe a better model. I also recently remembered running this shader pack back in 1.5 at about 40-60fps with FTB. So based on this I'm going to assume all I need to do is just upgrade my CPU, and GPU. I'll probably get the GTX 770 model.

@ MonthOLDpickle : I'll try myself too, I can't really help you at this point ^^

    @ McKiller5252 : answer page 1033, Captain_Syme 's post

@ Leland22 : before posting check at least the posts above yours, the answer is not far...

With such specs, when it's rainy minecraft will run at around 45-50fps
53-60fps with clear weather (depends a lot of the complexity of your redstone circuits for example).

Do you manage to overclock it? If not then buy a core i7-3770 or i7-4770, not the K version, and the motherboard is way too expensive; the rest is fine.

Since I intend to play with FTB, which I'm sure is resource intensive, should I upgrade both my GPU and CPU to better models?

Hi guys, I'm looking at buying a new PC and I wondered if this PC build could run this mod at a smooth 60fps.

    Here's the build:

(Note I will also be using this in conjunction with FTB modpacks)

Ok I'm using an old ATI 5800 series dual graphics card. unfortunately MC doesn't run off two cross fired graphics cards (derpy code that is). Can anyone suggest what graphics card I should buy to get about 60-70FPS BTW my processor is and Intel i7 3.60mhz (not overclocked). If you need any more information please tell me.

To the creator of this mod would this mod be comparable with my FTB server and will it be safe to update it in the future without any world corruption. If no then I will add this mod to my server when its fully released. please reply.

Hey Sonic Ether, I have been working on my computer recently and getting it improved upon to hopefully run this mod better. Unfortunately either you or Mojang (not sure who) has programed it so it only used one GPU and not two. My graphics cards cross-fire with each other and together are as good as any ATI radeon 7970 series or better. I'm using the 5900 series. If you can possibly fix this or help me out it will be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys, this maybe not the best place but i though a couple of people maybe able to help me run this mod.

My existing computer is basic, it runs on a Radeon 5900 series, the core clock is 725Mhz and the memory clock is 1000Mhz.

My processor is a two Intel i7-3820 CPU cores at clocked at 3.6Ghz.

my RAM is good at 16GB

and of course a 64bit system.

    (my power is 750W)

Can anyone give me any recommendations on how to improve the performance of my computer so i can run this at about 50FPS without stuttering lag.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have a basic understanding of the mods, I'm hoping to learn much more from the easier source, People. I am eighteen years of age, and am very proud to say my behavior on other servers have given me a no ban record. Thank you for considering!
