I just came back to minecraft after a long break (the last time played was in beta about right before the official release). I really loved playing SSP back then and was looking forward to experiencing it again with all the (hopefully) cool updates since I last played. Unfortuneately, when I learned about the hunger system I was really put-off. I was hoping there would be some sort of option to revert to the old health system while still being able to play with the new updates since then.
Is there some sort of mod to simply remove hunger and make food heal, as it did before?
Well that solves one of my questions. It looks like using my email should work fine on the client too. Now I just have to figure out why it keeps telling me it can't connect to minecraft.net.

EDIT: It took a good number of tries but the client finally let me log in.
I purchased a copy of minecraft last summer. I downloaded the client and everything went well. Was able to log in, play online or offline no problem for months. Then other games, college and work took its place for a long while. I suppose its been around 6 months since I last played.
Unfortuneately it appears I've run into a bit of a snag now. When I recently logged on to minecraft.net, I got a message that I needed to use my email to log in, so I did and it works no problem. However, when I try to log via the client I have downloaded, it just continously tells me that it "Can't connect to minecraft.net." I'm not sure if I should be using my email or my username to log on via client. I've tried both, and both produce the same message.
So - can anyone help me out? Which username do I use on the client, and why does it keep telling me it can't connect?
You have to remember... they don't have a mouse. Using the thumbsticks to move select each item and then select where to put it would be a pain in the ass.
You can actually stack them. Put 1 diamond in, then hit esc. Pick your diamond up and stand on the other. Open your inventory. Move your real diamond to a new slot - another appears in the first slot. Left click the new diamond then RIGHT click continuously on your first diamond. 64 stack of diamonds from just 1. You can do this with any stackable item.
For the sake of humanity, I assume just trolling. Mojang likes to be paid for hard work, and $7 for countless hours of work (plus a number of hours of work for future updates) for a single hour of minimum wage work (pre-tax) seems like an ok deal to me. Good troll OP, good troll.
My invisibility cloak I legitimately earned from a silver dungeon chest doesn't seem to work. Mobs still see and attack me at will when I'm wearing it.
Also, my Lightning Sword damages me when I use it. >.<
To anyone having trouble with Adfly surveys: Click the download link and use your browser's "Stop" button to stop the survey before it loads. It will let you hit the skip button then :smile.gif:
To anyone who's lost their lore book: you can get another one from dungeons, although the only dungeon I've found that specific one in is gold...
To anyone using TMI or SPC: Seriously this mod is worth not cheating in. It gives much satisfaction playing legit and on normal mode. Give it a try. Take the challenge and I bet you'll have loads of fun.
To the creators: epic job and stuff. Concerns:
- My portal is in the middle of the air and I had to use over a stack of blocks to be able to reach land. I died 5 times from being knocked off the edge by mobs while trying to create a bridge.
- I have multiple Moa eggs but... still can't find any poison plants :sad.gif:
- I ran into a silver dungeon that couldn't be completed - there were no stairs and I couldn't mine my way into the next rooms. Also, if a Valkyrie or multiple Valkyries spawn on you while you're already fighting one and you hit them... bad things happen.
- Where does Gravite spawn? I haven't seen a single block of it.
- I got a cloak of invisibility from a chest... What the heck does it do? Mobs can still see me and attack at will, and I can't open chests while wearing it. (it just closes the chest GUI instantly).
- If items fall off the edge (Example: recently died near a cliff and half my items went over...), are they gone for good? I tried searching for them on the Earth, but to no avail. I lost my original lore book and one of my two Vampire Blades among other items :sad.gif:
- Bronze dungeons are pretty common, but have a decent challenge rating for being the lowest level dungeon. Silver dungeons are by far the most difficult and dangerous. The gold dungeon was more difficult than the bronze, but not even close to what I expected due to the silver's difficulty. (Protip: Use a Hammer of Notch when fighting the silver's boss. It can even hit something behind you ! O.o ! Is it supposed to do that?)

How will gaining levels affect our character? Does a higher level character do more damage? Or maybe higher critical chance? Will it affect what weapons and armor we can use? And how will this all play into PvP? It sounds pretty cool but I hope it'll be balanced out. :smile.gif:
