Nov 27, 2014Hey folks , came back to play after a very long hiatus . So a lot of things have changed .Posted in: Survival Mode
Enchanting your pick , what ? Stuff like that , no idea .
But for now my question is , how do I get lots of TNT fast .
I usually play on survival / peaceful , change that if and when I need mobs , I like the building part but creative is over the top for me
I have had an idea on a build but that would mean a lot of ground to shift , I need a big hole . So are there ways to make TNT or making some sort of mob farming machine . I checked out youtube and some stuff is a few years old and I would think things have changed by now .
Any help would be greatly appreciated , thanks .
Nov 10, 2014Great seed , thanks . btw , in the screenshot looking directly into the cave , if you turn around and face north , you will see a desert and a temple , pretty much without moving very far from the cave . In the temple is 5 diamondsPosted in: Seeds
Sep 26, 2011Try "Nodders" My name turned out to be really impressive .Posted in: Seeds
You should see a floating island and a gap between two mountains . Head through and turn right , you can see some more mountains just ahead , head for these , cross the ravine first :smile.gif:
Come to a small pool , turn right to x:-47 z: 612 , turn to the left and see the huge structures , very nice , it goes on and on to the left and right after that , great spot :smile.gif:

Great stuff , love the soundtrack :smile.gif:
Just one little thing though , towards the end of the video it says "Cthulhu is in Everthing" there is a "y" missing from "Everything" .
Mar 26, 2011I got the same thing when this seed first came out , copying and pasting never worked , it was always the wrong place , even deleting the last few numbers and manually typing them in resulted in the same thing so there should have been no copying the return thing .Posted in: Seeds
However just typing in the number manually gave me the correct place :smile.gif:

Now, although I said you need to drop the files into the 'misc' folder of the 'minecraft.jar' file, you do need the services of an 'archiver' programme like 'WinRar' or even better '7-Zip' (which is free) to open the said .jar file. You can't just open that file by double clicking it...that's why you get the 'invalid or corrupt' message.
To open the 'minecraft.jar' using 7-Zip, you need to right click it, select 7-Zip in the menu and then 'Open archive'. You then see a lot of folders and other files (called 'class files'). Find the folder called 'misc' and drag and drop the 'grasscolor' and 'foliagecolor' files into it...this just replaces the grass and foliage files that are already in there. If you've done this successfully, close all the windows down and run Minecraft. :smile.gif:
Let me know how you get on. Even though I could make up another version of Glimmar's Steampunk texture pack, you won't see the benefit of things like new biome colours, unless you redownload a fresh copy of Minecraft, drop the new texture pack in the Minecraft Texture Packs folder and patch with xau's MC Patcher.
Hope this helps, mate. :smile.gif:
Spot on , thanks a lot , really appreciate it :smile.gif:
I never knew about 7-zip etc , downloaded it and put those biomes straight in , no problems whatsoever :smile.gif:
Thanks again .

Rename to 'grasscolor' and place directly in your 'misc' folder in the 'minecraft.jar' file.
Rename to 'foliagecolor' and place directly in your 'misc' folder in the 'minecraft.jar' file.
It is necessary to place these directly into your 'minecraft.jar' file
Hi m8 , need a bit of help here , I've tried clicking on any executable jar files starting with one just called "minecraft" each one says exactly the same , that it's invalid or corrupt , So I can't add those .
I do see the old version of MrMpatcher still sitting in the minecraft folder , don't know if thats conflicting , have'nt used it since upgrading to 1.3 minecraft though .
Any help would be greatly appreciated .
Oh and when I dragged those onto my desktop to rename , they were already named what you say change them to , is that right . Thanks .
Mar 8, 2011Okay , not played for a few weeks , been really busy , so when I logged on and it had updated , I stupidly run MrMpatcher for better light etc without realising it was out of date . Anyway I now get stuck on the done loading screen either online and in browser , both with just a little left to download by the looks . It comes straight on at that point , I dont see any downloading happening . I have deleted whats in the bin folder except the version .Posted in: Legacy Support
I do have Glimmar's texture pack on , everything was fine until I clicked on that patcher .
Anyone have any ideas , cheers

Love the Cthulhu stuff , read a lot of lovecraft when I was younger , even tried out the D&D type adventures a while back .
Can I ask how you've made these , looked at the sandy textured one and cant work it out , blocks are overlapping blocks , looks like half blocks would have to be used . How is that done , cheers :smile.gif:
