posted a message on Instructable books?
It wouldn't really add anything to the game expect another half-hour of play time near the beginning (as so much of minecraft is). I would support this is it created a more long term feature that added a more long term objective, but sadly, it can't be.

posted a message on Mobs for Map Makers
    A) Why not just use resource pack? Its really not that hard.

    2) A command that opens a GUI just isn't vanilla.

Cee) Can't you do practically all of this with commands (or NBTEdit/related mods)?

Four) Customizable AI just sounds like a lot of lag.

Ezinhlanu) Everything here can be done with commands and resource packs, except custom AI, which only cause lag. So essentially, this is adds nothing (cause' theres no way in hell mojang would add something that lag inducing, or simplify something already incredibly simple).

posted a message on Integrated Microblocks - Miniature Redstone - Pipes - Mosaics - Unified in One Concept
People still don't seem to understand...

    Better weather = LAG

Even more improvements to mod AI = LAG

    Fish entities = LAG

    and micro blocks = LAG

can people please stop posting threads regarding these topics... if you want them, go download some mods. Not everyone has fast computers, and, if you haven't noticed, mojang has bean trying to make the game run as fast as possible. Everything listed above (especially micro blocks) has bean done a million times in various mods. Not everyone wants them, and not all computers can handle them, so please, if you want them, and computer can handle them, GO DOWNLOAD A MOD.

    1) Just why?

B ) A feature that requires using commands in (i'm assuming) survival?... thats extremely impractical.

Three) Again, why? I see literally no purpose for this.

    Quote from phonocia»
It must be a glitch that mojang forgot to correct! For now there is nothing you can do about it.

No, it's because of the mods he's using. Run the most recent vanilla version of the game before complaining about bugs.

posted a message on Minecraft Multithread / Multicore CPU Support (Will Lead to Huge FPS Boosts)
    Quote from yoshi9048»
Umm, you do realize that after about 120fps, differences become indiscernible, and as time passes, headache inducing, right? It's not about boosting the FPS of fast computers, but about improving performance on slower machines.

No, 120fps is just faster, anything over 2000fps will cause headaches since that is the speed the human eye can perceive motion. (Thats why people get headaches from bluray). also, mojang has added this in 1.8. Also, it improves performance on all machines.
Quote from InuYasha86000although it IS more than likely implemented into the Snapshots, I would like to request this topic stay open until the official release of 1.8 to confirm multi-threading is fully implemented.

Why would it not be fully implemented? Dinnerbone and searge spent months on it and they are just going to be like "Naw, i don't feel like adding it right now."

posted a message on Shortened Names for NBT Tags(Remove "No" in Front of Tags)
    Quote from Dormentality»
This would be more intuitive, and even an improvement, but changing them would break a lot of the game. If an NBT tag exists on something in a world (let's say a falling sand entity), the game might look for an NBT tag on that falling sand entity. If it is looking for NoGravity and it doesn't find it, it will not look for Gravity and instead create a new NoGravity tag and use that. You could change the engine to automatically convert the NBT tags from NoGravity to Gravity, but then if you moved a world from the new version to an older version, it would break. This would break the ability to move newer worlds to older versions of minecraft and have them work at all. As it is right now, you can move a 1.8 world to 1.7 and some of the stuff will still work. This would break almost every chance of being able to move worlds from newer versions of minecraft to older ones, all to remove two letters from some NBT tags the average person will never see.

    No support.

Only custom spawned objects would have no gravity or noAI etc... anyways it would take 5 minutes for someone to make a Mcedit filter to reverse the values.
    Quote from Alexcamostyle»
Why make Mojang go through the work to change it when you can just add a "no"?

    No support.

It would take about 30 minutes to do it. Not that much trouble they would have to go through. Also, it make it easier, causes less confusion, and avoids a pointless double negative.
Thing is, I see mapmaking as something that is long and takes dedication. Where's the dedication of you being too lazy in typing in an extra 2 letters? And, as the above post has said, Mojang won't go back in change it if it's unnecessary.

Yes, mapmaking does take a lot of time and dedication, that is why i want to make it easier, less confusing, and avoid time pointlessly wasted.
