Equivalent Exchange 2. It is the older edition of the mod, and was completely remade into Equivalent Exchange 3.
In order to update Equivalent Exchange 2 to a newer minecraft version, you need to have adequate amount of programming in java and using the forge api. Even if you are able to do so, Equivalent Exchange 2 is closed source, which means that you will not be able to modify the mod without seeking prior permission from the mod authors to release the open source version to you.

I tried to extract it into minecraft.jar too,and it is the same.
Try updating to forge 7.7.2.682. If that doesn't work, please post your forgemodloader-client-0.log
