Weeeee, update! Okay, so I'm currently playing this seed, and this village has some AMAZING surprises beneath it. There's a somewhat deep hole on the south east corner, dig around at the bottom, specifically the Diorite. I put them as spoilers in case anyone wants a mystery.

Mineshaft, I've found melon seeds so far, haven't explored all of it yet. As well as a skeleton dungeon connected to part of the mineshaft. Found both of these last night, so I don't know what they contain entirely.

I don't really know what "Silver tools may have a low number of uses" exactly means. If its higher than Iron, than its okay this way.
The last very short Mining Tour gave me 11 Silver, So I don't really know what to do with these now. Pickaxes can't mine Diamonds (I don't know if thats an error from another mod, but whatever), and I don't know how much damage Silverswords do. More information in the 1st Post would be cool...

Copper btw. is so useless, I just make Armour out of it and don't mine any more :D
Its okay that its so common.
I wouldn't say it was useless. It mines faster and for longer than stone. Also It has more uses than stone and is more abundant than iron. I Love the ability to make buckets out of it since moving water around is a big must early game.

Best of luck with updating for when 1.3 comes around (august 1 I think), Alexander. I love your mod. It's done exactly what I've wanted to this game since I first started playing (new ores, in a simple manner lol), to both the regular world and the nether. Keep up the good work.

It's Minecraft. I fail to see how any of the most recent content has lessened the amount of mining or crafting done in the game. If anything it's added to it. Minecraft is still the same 'build what you want, where you want' game it always has been. If you don't like making potions or enchanting stuff, well then I have some incredibly good news...nobody is forcing you to do any of that.

About the Update itself: I'm really disappointed that after such a great hype we are going to (still don't know but the premises are these) have served an "half cooked" patch: we have experience but nothing to learn or use it for, we have villages but no villagers, we have 1 new Hostile mob but no neutral or tameable ones. And it all comes out after a long wait (very long if you consider the fact that pistons where already half made when 1.6 came out).

Updates for a game like this can't just materialize out of thin air. Notch and Mojang aren't blizzard. They don't have a team of 50-100+ developers working on their game. Notch said for the most part, the update is going to be split up. That's good. I hope he puts alot of time and effort into it to make it a solid quality update. If he has to split it up, even better. It's still in beta, give the game time. The last thing I want is a bunch of crappy updates squeezed out every 2 weeks with more holes and problems than a screen-door (world of workcraft anyone?). Trust me, I'm right there with you, I want this update now, but I know the consequences of getting it now, and that's why I'm willing to wait.
