I don't like using real life to rationalize putting things into Minecraft. It's a game, made of blocks. It's not real life, it never will be.
What are you saying, there's no such things as Physics? There's no such things as gravity, fire, water, or Atoms?!?
I try not to flame, but get your facts together, before spout random stuff.
There's a difference between physics and making Minecraft "realistic". This idea seems more of "I'm too lazy to plant trees". Get your facts straight before you spout random stuff.
And I think they would have a better reason for calling it Austrailum. For instance, Notch could gone and told PCGamer the general properties of this ore, but not provided a name.
But, on the other hand, sure, it could very well just be a another glowing rock that happens to be referred to as a fictitious mineral with bizarre properties of which holds absolutely no relevance to said unnamed feature.
This is what I thought, it sounds like they got to play the Hallooween update. I'm not familiar with Australium, but if they nicknamed the ore that, it implies it has the property of falling upwards.
