3) They can be placed only ONCE. after that, they are frozen in place
This is pretty smart. How about they take a loooong time to place/remove and they cost resources to place each time. I'm talking like, a good 3 minutes of waiting. Maybe even a small time consuming mini-game?
I got the suit from http://skins.tkte.ch/ website. This skin to be precise. I got the big head idea from another skin there, this one.(These might actually be chezheads skins for all I know.) I thought, hey, I can make a giant head character, that's pretty neat. I made a giant head character with the base skin with a pig head, then I thought "He'd look good in a suit". I found the suit from the above link, and then copy pasted that onto the Giant pig head skin. I then got some texture from his head and used that to make his hands. If you let me see your skin chezhead, I can compare the two pairs of hands.
I didn't "steal" "his" skin. I never claimed it as being mine. I took some materials and mismatched them together, it's not creative I know, but I liked the look, and I thought I was being original with the actual design (giant Pig head in a suit, I'm a genius!). I have never heard of his skin, I never used his skin. I guess you could say I made it after him. Technically, I stole from other people, but that's being an asshole, so I will change my skin. So calm the **** down. I was already planning on changing my skin (thanks to TrueWolves). I think this is all one big misunderstanding.
I actually believe that as long as you give credit, you can take anyones skin, because you can't "copyright" these pixels. It's just a responsibility to not do this, because that would be a **** move.
This is a lame counter-argument to the phrase "SMP has no greifers" which several users think is true. If there are no greifers in SMP, then why do you need OPs? I can't really think of any scenario besides the use of hacks that deserves a ban. After all, they're just playing the game right? I don't know how those third-party programs work, but hasn't Notch found out a way to disable (current) hacks, by adding -hax and -speed to the server txt file? Besides that, OPs would do nothing but ban hackers. Someone building around spawn? It's fine. Someone just starting out and you rape them with your diamond sword? They should of hid better. If everyone agrees there are no "greifers" in SMP, no one (besides the server owner and a few to watch for hackers) should become an op.
This is a mistake in logic that proves why we need ops. It sounds fun to have a truly free world now, but once you die from some guy spamming C4/TNT/Arrows everywhere, I believe you will change your mind. There is a fine line between taking advantages and being an asshole. That's why everyone is so jittery about land-claim flags, because they are afraid they will lose control.
I considered offering to translate it, but it's surely be a whole day's work just to do that, and it wouldn't be worth it at all. There was no important information in that stream. None. It was just Notch and two other people very casually playing Minecraft with each other. They talked about how they should build their house, who should go to get wood and who should mine stone, marvelled at beautiful natural formations, waterfalls and lava rivers, and laughed at the silly glitches that the unfinished multiplayer version caused.
If you know what you are talking about, thank you. That's all I needed.

I never actually been there, but I'd assume it's something like this community. A small group of good people surrounded my pure **** fandumb.

I think he's trying to say unrealistic ideas should not be frowned upon because they are unrealistic, I agree with this.

That's the
lamepoint I'm trying to make. People are saying this is ok, because "there is no greifing in SMP".0
