    Maybe it's just me, but I love the feeling of getting achievements. It's very nice to open up the menu and see a list of achievements you've gathered and say, "Yeah, I did that."

    Civil War Mod and God Swords Mod, at the moment.

    God Swords 1.2 for Minecraft 1.8

    Have you ever wanted some great new swords? Now, you can! With 10 new swords, 7 of them have special effects. For example, using a Redstone God Sword explodes your enemies in a fiery inferno!


    Quartz God Sword : Once this sword tastes blood, it cannot stop! Its user gains Strength I upon combat, and Strength II upon killing.

    Coal God Sword : Set your enemies on fire with the igniting properties of coal!

    Iron God Sword : Crafted from pure iron, this sword has no special effects but is sharper and more durable than the average iron sword.

    Lapis God Sword : The calming properties of lapis slow down your enemies, and apply Slowness I to them.

    Gold God Sword : Crafted from solid gold blocks, this sword has no special effects but has incredible enchantability.

    Diamond God Sword : The Diamond God Sword, made from solid, compressed diamond, is an upgraded version of the default diamond sword.

    Obsidian God Sword : Obsidian shields the user from damage in matters of combat, granting the wielder Absorbtion II.

    Redstone God Sword : The explosive electrical properties of redstone explode enemies in a fiery inferno, setting blocks around the enemy on fire.

    Emerald God Sword : Upon being touched by a human, this sword combines with the player's soul to give Looting III and massive damage.

    Endstone God Sword : This sword, infused with the power of the enderman, can be right-clicked to launch an ender pearl and teleport away.

    1.8 will already do that, as they are removing ID's completely. 1.7 saw a switch from ID's to names, but they left in basic ID functionality. It's for the mod API, as tweeted by dinnerbone multiple times to different people :P

    CIVIL WAR MOD 1.6.4
    This is a mod based off the Civil War, currently still in development. More details on everything in the mod can be found at our wiki!

    Here is a great video on how to
    1) Install Minecraft Forge
    2) Drag the zip file you will download into the mods folder
    3) Enjoy!

    Known Bugs:
    • Incorrect particles on the Mucket
    New: We have a wiki page now!
    New: Achievements! Check them out by going into your achievements in-game, and clicking on the button that says minecraft in the bottom left. It should change and show the achievements for this mod.
    New: Mucket and Canteen items. Check the wiki!
    New: Textures for the Revolver, Musket, Musketball, Cannonball, Saber, and both coins by peasant21
    New: Armor textures by Awallacer
    Fix: Soldiers are now normal / lots of fixes for them
    Fix: Changed crafting recipes for the coin and cap, and crafting cloth only gives you one cloth now
    Fix: Saber now has 131 uses instead of 150
    Removed: Config options for the soldier, they are causing problems.

    The config has been changed. Delete the config file before starting up the world!

    While you are correct, i dont agree with your reasoning. Mojang might not want to incorporate it because to the public it looks like they are incredibly lazy, since 1.6 was community code (mo creatures) too.
    On the other hand, bartesx (im pretty sure im spelling that wrong) is making it a proof of concept so all mojang has to do is add it, which makes sense if we want them to be more likely to add it.

    Guys the new launcher allows 1.2.5-1.6.2 as well as all beta stages! Now we dont need mcvc to play the old cubic chunks!

    The link he posted is to a popular page requesting Mojang themselves both update the mod and add it into vanilla minecraft. The guy on that page is simply the head of a group of people, not a mod-maker. This brings me to the second topic:

    The actual structure code should be the same through all versions of Minecraft and Forge.

    I tried using my code like so, but I feel it's less realistic than trying to mimic the code vanilla minecraft uses. Is there a way to use MapGenXXX and add it to the existing generation method for the overworld and superflat?
