The scene before me was one that I had trouble processing, especially in my broken state. Seven thrones stood tall in an open circle, six of which were glowing with both light and power. Matt, who had escorted me to this room, took his place on one which shone with luxurious colors such as gold, violet, and red. The kinder man I had spoken two was sitting on a different one, his seat being decorated in royal blue, silver, and gold. The woman who had interrupted Matt's 'fun' sat on a chair adorned in various shades of green, also having a scaled texture by the look of it. There of the remaining four seats were taken by people I had only gotten glimpses of. The throne in the middle was dressed in crimson, black, and orange. The chair itself was rather uninteresting, but the man who sat upon it caught my attention.

Back in Aer, my brother, Tobias, was the absolute most powerful mage in our generation. His rival wasn't so much a magic-user, but rather a warrior. I knew of Garrett and his skills, but that fighter was somewhat inferior to Myron. Myron was the child of Dimitri, and thus he possessed an enormous amount of skill with weaponry. He and Tobias never quite got along, the two of them constantly challenging each other in order to surpass one another. When my brother left Aer, Myron fell into a bit of a depressed state, but eventually decided to train for the chance that the two of them would, once again, fight. Now, Myron sat there with a "Buster"-style long sword shoved into the earth at his side.

"Heh, if it isn't Toby's baby sister. Finally left the nest, huh?" He taunted. I was in no condition to challenge him, nor did I have enough faith in my abilities to defeat Myron. "You've caught our eye, not with your currently skills but with your potential. If you share even a drop of Tobias' blood, you should make to be a powerful ally. We will watch every battle you participate in, we'll study you in every session of training you undergo, we will know everything about you. When you are strong, you will join our ranks. Now, Sloth, if you wouldn't mind..?"

A girl on a rather dull throne nodded, then waved her hand. It was her, the one who could freely open rifts, the one who Matt spoke with when he captured me. A black circle formed under my feet, causing me to slowly slide into the abyss. The other end was just outside of Central City, where the situation was indeed dire. I slowly climbed onto a building for safety, then waited for a bit for my stamina to recover. With my magic and physical energy restored, I stood up and raised my arms high. Hundreds of spheres appeared around me, each and every one being a swirling mass of energy and lightning. When I launched my army of projectiles, countless Tainted were obliterated.

"Hey!" I yelled into the ruins of the outer district. "Am I too late to join in on the fun?"

(( I wanted to explain a bit of physiology really quickly. Tainted are basically scraps of flesh bound together corrupted magic. They can't enter 'magic withdraw', but can run out of usable power. If they are forcibly drained, then they will fall apart into what they are made of: rotting meat. Standard humans cannot enter 'magic withdraw' for the obvious reason: their body doesn't depend on magic to function. A Mage can, however, undergo this condition due to using up too much magic energy and this can lead to bodily harm. Fallen Angels, who possess notably larger reserves, will suffer even more severely due to previously living in an atmosphere completely made of magic energy, but it wouldn't be as bad as it could be since their reserves were still as large as back in Aer. Remember how Fallen Angels were 'nerfed' upon leaving? Keep this in mind for Tobias' section of this post. ))

Quincy returned quickly and was likely about to report how evacuations were going smoothly before noticing my bloody form on the floor. Fortunately, several medical professionals were in the area, most of which being mages. Within no time, my damaged digestive track was repaired and my bleeding had stopped.

"I figured you'd want to hear about those kids, so I looked into the situation a bit." My apprentice said, helping me to the sofa. He sat nearby in a fairly comfortable, reclining chair. "By what my sources say, they've managed to dispatch about four percent of the Taint swarm. For just being a handful, of people, it's not a bad sum. Reports say that another mage from up north has entered the fray, a sage of sorts. I've also got something that might make you feel a bit better." With his boring speech finished, he handed me a couple photographs. Depicted on said photos was a young girl with black hair and... Blue, radiant streaks. So, she did come down here.

Arching my back a little bit, I stood up and stretched. I was being a complete disgrace, having cast one spell and instantly becoming a handicapped God. My reserves had already regenerated from when I had cast Oblivion Pane. I wasn't very fond of that spell only for the reason that I had no made it. Anyways, a slow stroll toward the kitchen brought me a couple steps closer to a blueberry muffin and a cup of coffee, two treats that always helped me feel rejuvenated. I took these snacks out onto the balcony, looking over the once beautiful city. Even from the tallest residential building in Central, I still couldn't see the outskirts. This view, unfortunately, was in the opposite direction of that bunch of people who had caught my attention earlier. Something told me that this wouldn't be the last time I'd see them.

"I'm in their debt, aren't I?" I asked myself. "I had the honor of watching their dispute, but brought shame to them by ending it earlier. Any who, time to flex my muscles a bit." I held up my index and middle fingers, pointing the tips out toward the horizon. This, unlike that shield spell from earlier, was of my own design. "Amplification Focus: Twenty-first Power.“ With this said, two magic circles appeared in front of my fingers. Foci were something that I figured should have been thought of earlier. They modify whatever spell passes through them without any added cost to the user. When I published this in a textbook I wrote, it became widespread for assistive and medical mages, but lacked true potential for combat. That's when I figured out you could modify the shape of a spell. In my next journal released, battle mages loved the idea, especially with the pre-existing Amplification Foci. Obviously, history repeated itself and I found a much stronger solution than simply amplifying an attack's power — I could raise it's strength to a power. A spell doing ten 'units' of damage could be raised to the second power and instantly do one hundred units. I never released this edition of my spell series for fear that it may be too unbalanced and would require further tinkering.

"Tesla Cannon." I casually said. This passive tone of mine contrasted greatly as a wide burst of electrical energy shot forth as if it were water from a really wide fire hose. Upon passing through the focus, the light from the attack was blinding. As I said, these special Foci were still in the early stages, and using such a powerful spell in combination with an incredibly potent amplifier absolutely drained my reserves to the point where I could no longer stand. My legs failed to support me any further and I would have collapsed if Quincy hadn't noticed me.

"Doctors! He's injured! Magic reserves are minimal and he's going through severe withdraw!" My partner shouted.

"47." I murmured, barely audible. Quincy heard me, but needed to hear a bit more about what I was trying to say. "47% of the Tainted disappeared just now."

I could no longer feel the pain. Every lash was just another drop in the ocean, every drop of blood getting mixed in with the sweat. My entire body stung, but didn't hurt so much as it was numb. Greed had stopped, finally, to review his handiwork.

"This didn't have to happen." He admitted, softly. However, at the sign of tenderness, he instantly brought back a more refined tone. "It is your fault, though. We placed a bet on what would happen. Everybody got to pick their situation and their reward. I thought that the last thing you would do was try to run, so I bet on that and said I'd get to torture you if I was right." His words were lost in the air, they came as an alien tongue to my ears. I could hear him, but I was in too sorry a state to understand what he was talking about. "At first, it was fun. Seeing people in agony is a nice site. However, I couldn't figure out why it took so long to break you. The mention of your brother seemed to do it when hours of pain couldn't." Before he could go on, somebody else entered the scene.

The stranger was a woman with long, silky hair, which flowed down her shoulders like that of a model. She everything she wore was green; from her shirt with words I couldn't understand to her makeup. This was likely Envy. "Play time's over. Wrath wants you and her in the main room ASAP. Heal her then bring her there." No words were spoken afterward, the only sound being the shuffling of feet. Matthew let me down, then began rubbing my skin with more of his magical material. My pain slowly faded, the scars he had left on me dissipating. My fatigue didn't disappear at all, but I doubted I'd want to do anything after my previous failed escape.

The scene waiting for us was not at all what I expected.

    [Tobias]

The moment I returned back to the penthouse, I instructed Quincy to help people leave the city. The method of how to get countless people away from any possible risk of danger wasn't of my highest concern, as something else took precedence.

Blood poured out of my mouth in the form of vomit. Heavenly Bind is, obviously, a forbidden magic and it requires a sacrifice to function. The first time I cast it, I used my Coccyx (part of the hip structure, sometimes referred to as the tailbone) as the catalyst for change since it is a useless part of your body. The only drawback I faced was a bit of soreness while sitting down. This time I gave up my appendix, which seemed like a decent idea until I felt more abdominal pain than I expected. The magic that removed my appendix could have damaged either of my intestines or my stomach, the latter of the two being more likely because of the symptoms.

"Why don't I," I started to say, interrupted by another surge of blood, "know any Medicinal Magic?"

I was wrong. This psycho became so incredibly interesting in a single moment. Nobody would see the visual effect, but each time I used my vision-related Magic to assess other forms of the arcane arts, several small, light purple runic symbol would appear on my irises. I could see every detail of the brute's magic, including his minimal, yet still existent, 'mana pool'. It wasn't so much as he had managed to keep some past the Oblivion Pane, but rather it was given a boost by a spike of his feelings. I disabled the priorly mentioned spell to stop the immense drain in my reserves.

"I get it now." I said, rubbing where he had struck me. "You probably don't regenerate magic energy as quickly as other mages, but you are able to increase your power and reserves by your emotions. With this incredible yet unstable power, you are probably forced to create hallucinated spirits to represent and console you on what to do. Your conscious is your fuel. Simply incredible. That burst of power was your fury, wasn't it? Do you have someone else with you right now? Gah, what am I doing? I've got other thug s to do!"

Looking back at Garrett, I continued examining the situation. "I'll do both you and these mongrels a favor. Heavenly Bind: Titaint Seal." Somewhere along my journeys, I had discovered a blind monk who lost his vision due to shouting curses at the Gods. It was an unfair punishment, so I decided to smite those of Aer myself — by returning this man his sight. I exchange, he taught me the ritual Heavenly Bind. It would minimize the amount of influence a particular God or Goddess had within a rather large area around me. Anything blessed by a certain God would lose it's power within the area. Unfortunately, the ritual had a rather large amount of hand signs to accompany it, so I was stuck rapidly making figures for about ten seconds. This didn't seem like much, but considering I still had Godspeed active, it was a fairly large sum. The power of Titaint was slowly drained from an area about fifty feet around me in each direction. I could sense nearby Tainted Ones drop to the ground and dissipate, their entire bodies held together by now weakened scraps of Titaint's power. I couldn't tell if it had worked much on Garrett, nor could I visibly see it due to the already confused presence within him.

"I hope that'll help you. You were a good fighter back in Aer, so don't disappoint me." I said, finishing the ritual. I turned back to the Psycho, still quite interested in his case. I worked a bit of magic energy into a ball on the palm of my hand, then blew on it, dispersing it into the air. "The wind says you are fond of whistling. Whenever you think you are capable of fighting me, just ask the wind. Any time you wish to fight, whistle and the wind will change directions to point toward me. I will always welcome you with an open door and a closed fist."

With this said, I disappeared as quickly as I had showed up.

(( Super stupid nit-pick, but Tobias 2.0 has white hair. It was one of the reactions his body went through when he left Aer. ))

"Ah, so that's it. How... amusing." I said, my specialty magic coming into play. Just a quick look at 'Garrett' told me all of the information I needed to know based on the magic, correcting any mistakes I had assumed. The corrosive, disgusting magic that Titaint uses had screwed up my perception from a distance, but the answer was clear when I was this close. However, it'd spoil the fun if I were to solve the puzzle now. However, the brute who seemed to lack any and all forms of sanity chose to charge at Garrett and I. He seemed to be pouring much more magic into this pounce than those previous, but his efforts were in vain. "You, on the other hand," I began, looking toward the psychopath, "do not interest me. Oblivion Pane."

I stretched out my arm with my hand held open, and in the air in front of my palm appeared a small, runic circle, which expanded into one with a radius of at least seven feet. This was perhaps the best, mono-directional arcane shield spell I had researched. Upon passing through the circle, it would strip the the subject of all magic energy. Any spell would dissipate instantly, any enchanted weapon would lose it's effects, and any wizard would face Arcana Subtrahatis, otherwise known as Magic Withdraw. A normal human would face no effects, but since a mage's body is interwoven with magic energy, it would slowly crumble. The kidneys and liver would fail, the lungs would begin collapsing, and the heart itself would stop beating. Oblivion Pane was a spell designed to keep anything magical at bay.

Unfortunately, even the most powerful of spells had weaknesses, and this had two major ones. First of all, this ultimate shield was incredibly taxing to keep up for long expanses of time. Even with my gigantic energy pool to draw from, I could only afford to keep this up for about a minute before having to resort to other means. Normal mages might lose their lives attempting to keep it up for five seconds. Second of all, this is a magic shield. To someone who uses mainly technological/physical weaponry, such as the bionic man, this thing would have absolutely no effect. The brilliant light the delusional barbarian was producing would vanish like a candle submerged in water, but, judging by their stocky appearance, it may not be enough to prevent the assault entirely. One could only hope what would happen.

(( CJ, if you want to, I'll give permission to PowerGame against Tobias. If you feel like you could hit him, then you can. ))

Imagine you are sniffing an unpicked rose and someone decides to fart in the bush. That is the exact sensation I felt when the presence of Titaint drew more potent. Garrett, who had once been a fine warrior, was clearly taken over when he demonstrated a dramatic increase in capability and potency. The spirit that smelled like Titaint and the formerly mentioned Garrett were having some sort of a falling out. I couldn't care less if they had a dispute over who controlled the body, but it was ruining the fun of watching this fight. Under my breath, I muttered a fairly complex incantation, one for possibly my favorite spell: Godspeed. My body was filled with static electricity, causing my hair to stand on end. This particular spell bolstered how quickly my body moved to the point of being faster than lightning.

"Did I say you could interrupt this battle?" I said, appearing out of seemingly nowhere near the self-conflicting Garrett-Taint-thing. Upon further inspection, it was obvious that the Taint was winning. "I've placed my bet and I won't allow myself to be correct nor incorrect if you hurt yourself. Now, return the reigns to their proper owner or I'll join in on this Royale."

I watched the battle scene from atop a nearby apartment complex, which was a decent distance away, not wanting the participants to accidentally wander into my compressed aura. The fight started quite normally; introductions, a bit of psychotic self-talk, and a pinch of bragging. I wasn't quite prepared for what was to follow. The maniac used a light based technique, more than likely derived from Kalila's supportive magic. It's properties of boosting his physical strength and capabilities was fairly interesting. Rogan, my purpose for coming down here, used a sort of regional spell to cover quite a bit of area in darkness. Unfortunately, upon further inspection, I discovered the technique I wanted to study was Blood-based, meaning I couldn't replicate it. The Robot guy bored me, since he was using rather basic maneuvers, but it was rather interesting that he was able to at least think he was capable in helping fight a Fallen Angel. Very interesting. Garrett, who I had thought I had figured out most if not all of his abilities, surprised me the most. In an instant, his aura reminded me of Titaint's, then he pulled off some feats I knew were above his pay grade. Again, interesting.

I would have decided to join in on the fun of combat, but it was the better option not to. After all, that would be interrupting an intense battle, which was considered an insult to any warrior with a shred of pride in them. Just watching would satisfy me.

Several Tainted Ones noticed me and began making their way toward my perch, but they were nothing but a bother. They could attempt to strike me all they wanted, but fighting back was useless. Would any normal person get serious with a fly buzzing around their ear? One of them managed to get within striking distance, but it only took a single bolt of lightning to fry it. Garrett or Rogan recognizing me could possibly be an issue, since they were still in Aer when I left. Because of this, I'd have to keep my actions limited. Going overboard because of a couple Taint Behemoths would catch too much attention, but I couldn't allow too many flies to build up around me.

"My money," I said, talking to myself, "is on the Triad."

"This isn't as fun anymore." My captor, who's apparent title was agreed, complained. "I hit you and all you do is give a tiny yelp then return to your melancholy state. Scream!" When he shouted that last word, Matt stretched out his leg and kicked me on the side of my torso, just beneath my rib cage. "I want to be able to hear your terror! Think of what's happening to those humans you care for so much, even though you'd hardly met them! Watch as they die in a fruitless way, witness the death of those who you were unable to save! Scream! Cry in agony!"

I couldn't bare the pain I was in any longer. The scratches he had begun with were nothing compared to the various methods of inflicting injury he had used. Blood was trickling down from my mouth and just about every wound, even the earliest created. He had broken everything about me: my bones, my spirit, and my pride. I could only hang here, bound to the wall, useless to any of those who had tried to help me beforehand. I couldn't move a muscle, but the only thing I could do was not give this psychopath the pleasure of victory.

"Fine, don't do anything. You've been labeled as disposable. Sure, having a Fallen Angel work for us would be neat, but you're clearly too weak." He commented, dispelling all of his tools, then beginning to slowly walk toward the door. "We'll track down your precious brother and manipulate him into helping us. You, however, are not needed."

I couldn't take it anymore. All I could now do was let out a sharp scream, one that pierced the silence of our quiet banter.

    [Tobias]

The eagle I had used was, after a couple minutes, discovered and destroyed by a Tainted Being. Titaint's creations were awfully inconvenient, always attempting to attack me before getting obliterated. Even when I attempted to hide my aura, they would be able to detect me once they got within ten feet. The battle was boring from what I had seen: just a bunch of staring. The Corrupt Warrior bored me since I knew all about him, but the Bionic Warrior was a tad more interesting. Completely melding technology and life was astonishing. The psycho seemed entertaining a bit, but didn't possess that 'oomf' I was looking for. The Absent Shadow's magic presence couldn't be detected, even by my eagle... Ah-ha! The perfect way to cover up one's aura! Unfortunately, I'd have to see the technique a bit closer in able to analyze and, hopefully, copy it.

"Quincy, I'm heading out." I said, putting on my coat. "I want one of the magics being used out there." Quincy was a student I had decided to take on as my apprentice. Surprisingly, he wasn't half bad for a mortal. Heck, he was better than several Minor Gods I knew, including her. I wondered for a moment if my bratty younger sister had gotten any stronger and if she had chosen to come to earth.

Unfortunately, my apprentice wasn't so excited about me leaving in the middle of the Apocalypse. "Toby, haven't you heard? Tainted are swarming the city, we need to stay in the Inner District if we are to stay alive."

"I'm more than capable of handling myself, and you should be too. Don't let those beasts touch any of my textbooks." I commented with a bit of sarcasm. A sane person might decide to take the elevator down, an insane one probably choosing to ride on a sled down the stairs. Me? I just jumped off the balcony. Since I had such a large amount of experience with Storm Magic, keeping myself aloft temporarily was no huge feat. With a surprising amount of speed, I arrived at the furthest district in Central. I wasn't close enough to truly see the technique Rogan was using, but I could almost taste not having to deal with scaring the crap out of passing by mages. My aura was easily potent enough to startle anybody with a scrap of the ability to detect them, so staying at a range in order to stay hidden was important. I didn't care if they knew I was there, as long as they didn't know what I was.

Wave after waves of fleeing humans passed through the gates, hundreds of feet beneath me, hoping to attempt the onslaught that the Tainted were bringing about. I watched the massacre from the comfort of the Princeton Towers' Penthouse, the room which I had decided to rent so I could further my studies in both luxury and solitude. I couldn't care less who was victorious: the Tainted fueled by bloodlust or the handful of people believing they stood a chance. The mind is frequently capable of overcoming the body, so just by having a shred of hope, they increased that slim chance of survival. Victory, however, was a goal that had to be much too far out of their reach.

Nathan Orse, an author of several complex spellbooks, wrote something more along the lines of a theorized spell about a God who gambled away half of his vision in order for an opportunity to obtain Omniscience. He ended up winning his bet, but he was tricked and was given a set of birds who could go forth and be his eyes. While his reward was not what he wanted, he still made profit. Orse's book, after giving the pretext, spoke of theories to simulate this effect. After a couple weeks of development, I was finally able to summon an eagle who's eyes I could see out of when I covered my left eye. Placing two fingers over said eye, I muttered a bit of a summing ritual and an eagle materialized.

"Go and view the battle between the Angels without Wings. Do not get detected." I ordered it, and the bird took off with vigor. I felt just as excited, since it was basically being able to feel like a bird. I watched through my other eye as the eagle swooped down over the south-eastern segment of the outermost section of Central. A fight between Garrett, who I knew to be a renowned fighter, and Rogan, someone I only had knowledge of through rumors, excited me.

It was not the sort of pleasure of watching two martial artists fight for normal people, but more along the lines of watching children horseplay.

    Name: Tobias Dawn
Age: 21, but he visually ages much more slowly than the other Earth-dwellers due to still being immortal
    Gender: Male
    Race: God
Appearance: Let's start at the top with his hair. Unlike his sister, Tobias hair was turned bright white when he left Aer, but the signature blue highlights are still present. It is fashioned in a Faux-Hawk style. His eyes are a crisp, sky blue, the intensity of which can range from being as soft as the clouds to as rigid as lightning, depending on how he's feeling. His body frame is highly athletic, yet he does not resemble a body builder in the slightest. He could easily be considered "buff". On his right arm is a blue tribal tattoo, the top (which is right above his shoulder) resembling a cloud, the length of the tattoo having complex, straight patterns, symbolizing lightning. On his left wrist is another blue tribal tattoo appearing to be some sort of band around that part of his arm, the ends pointing up the arm or toward his hand.

Tobias frequently has a long, white scarf with blue decals wrapped around his neck. He constantly is adorned in a dark blue, thin coat, the end of it and it's sleeves being shredded. Underneath is a regular blue shirt, covered by a black belted-vest with five straps going down the torso. Slightly further south are a set of black jeans with only a bit of growing room available. He wears a navy blue belt with a black 'X' toward the front-right. His shoes are a set of light blue Converse sneakers.
Magic (If Applicable): Tobias is VERY capable with magic. Through years of research, he has been able to nearly master Storm Magic. He possesses a strange technique within his left eye, one which enables him to look at an act of magic and understand it in its entirety. Using this, he is able to "reverse engineer" most spells. Something that he discovered in development and decided to customize is something similar to Charms called "Foci" (plural for Focus).
    Chosen Deity: None/Himself
Expertise: Magic, Hand-to-Hand Combat, Spell Research/Development/Creation, Making Puns
Equipment/Weaponry: Much like his sister, Tobias is able to open a rift to a storage dimension. The only thing he carries on himself is his Katana Hilt.
Relationship(s) with Current Character(s): Fiora Dawn; Sister
Other: General Tso's Chicken. NOTE: Tobias is highly overpowered and will act as my Mod-Tool. He will not be involved in fights against other characters, even if provoked. Please do not take advantage of this to try and attack him.

Matthew, just as he said before, was the given the duty of torturing me. He had plucked my body up by the neck like a rag doll, then carried me back to where I was beforehand. With almost no effort, he flung me against the stone wall. I slid down from the wall and cowered, watching this demon of a man step toward me. On the wall appeared several panels made of golden ethereal matter, which seemed useless until they lit up with new color. These were screens, televising what was happening to my friends. Blood flooded the streets like water after a rainy day, carcasses of butchered humans lying about as if they were trash. This sight was horrifying.

"Speechless, huh? Good, because I like to talk when I torture." Matt said, twirling his finger. More of his strange matter appeared, this time in inch-wide strands, wrapping themselves around each of my lengthy limbs (arms and legs). When I tried to struggle against them, electrical pulses were pushed through my body. Usually, my affinity to lightning would absorb the inflicted damage, but I could feel the full pain of being jolted. I let out a harsh scream as I felt a pain in a way I never before felt it. The ethereal matter bindings moved against the wall, dragging me along with them. "Hmm... Should I slowly inflict small amounts of pain, then pick up the severity and speed later, or should I do something drastic and give you some time to process it... Let's start small, get warmed up in a bit." He said, talking to himself.

In the blink of an eye, my torturer brandished a golden rapier, then slash at me. The thin blade slice upwards from the the skin at the bottom of my ribs toward my chest. I couldn't feel much blood seeping down my chest, but I could definitely feel the pain. My breathing was already heavy, the stress of the situation too much to bare. He wanted this, he wanted me to panic. He could have cut off my leg or something, but he decided to do something small. Of course, right as I was beginning to think he was going easy on me, the thief slashed at me again, but this time, the rapier seemed to act like a whip and cut along my side as well. Most of already small shirt was clipped off.

"One of our members is able to predict the future, sort of. She is able to get a series of visions like a rapid slide show, then she gives a mysterious, two to four lined poem to give a better picture of what's going on. It really is crappy, but she's always been accurate." He explained, cutting just above my hip next. Another slash landed on my thigh, which stung much worse than the other injuries. Was he already swinging harder? Before I could register what was happening, he slashed downward toward my torso. The rapier became more like a bladed whip and it cut from my mid-chest to a bit lower on my back. The shirt they had provided crumbled, making me very thankful that I was still wearing a bra.

"Keep it PG-13, Greed." Someone said, who's feminine voice I didn't recognize. "She's younger than you."

"Jeez, Envy, this is why you don't take trips down here." He smugly replied. "Men should be tortured with obscure amounts of pain, such as trying to fit a Bowie Knife in their belly button. Women should do half of the torturing in themselves in ways such as embarrassment. Torture is a method of destroying someone by breaking their pride. Anyways, shall we continue?"

(( Alright, I never clearly defined this, so allow me to do it now. Eternia's mainland is roughly the size of China. Central District, which would be one of the five "states" or "providences", depending on which you prefer, takes up about 35% of the mainland. Basically, Central District is as large as 35% of Australia. As mentioned on the OP, the Central District is primarily one large city with several small towns outside of it. The main city is, quite literally, 70% of the Central District region. I'm saying this just to show how massive the city is and the sheer amount of Tainted. I apologize for not being more specific in the OP. If my math is correct, which it probably isn't, Central City is the size of 24.5% of Australia.

Scarf, with this newly provided information in mind, could you tweak your post a bit? Also, I'm completely free today, so I'll spend some time on here. ))

    [Narrator]

The shining lights of Central City lit the night like stars of the Earth. The massive towers loomed over the surrounding fields. Suddenly, the lights went out in the tallest tower, the only permitted sanctuary for religion in the city. One by one, the light of buildings were lost in the night sky, until the city was left wrapped in darkness.

The Invasion had begun. Tainted of all varieties, some wielding magic, some otherwise talentless, entered the city, killing dozens of citizens in seconds. There was no direction of origin — the entire city had been surrounded. The Prophecy was slowly beginning.

(( Sorry for double post, especially after a really long one. Erip, I was double checking the Gods and Goddesses list because I thought I misspelled Karisha (which I did) when I rememembered something about your post. You had listed Karisha as your Chosen Deity, but referred to her as the Goddess of Love. You don't need to edit, but the one you were looking for was Kalila. ))
