(( Approved, Shotgun. Both of them.

As much as I love the newfound activity on this thread, it's quickly becoming a basketball game between handicapped children, with Lebron James and Michael Jordan as captains for each team. Everyone is "taking part", but it's quickly becoming a Lebron vs. Jordan event. Players like Scarf are getting left in the dust, still confused on what's going on. Let's all calm down and become handicapped children in wheelchairs. ))

    [Demetria]

"I don't care how much A'thery suggests otherwise, my daughter isn't leaving Aer until you figure it out." My mother, Kalila the Goddess of Love, exclaimed.

Recently, an old friend had been stirring up trouble in Eternia, so the Gods were debating on how to take action. One of the two main ideas is to send the strongest, non-Major God down to fight him, but that would strip them of their prowess and reduce them to a Fallen Angel. Tobias, according to Fiora several years ago, had managed to spike his power to be above A'thery's himself, so sending anybody weak would not only be fruitless, but also insulting. The other strategy is to wait until they find out how Tobes had left Aer without getting weaker, then exploiting this to send that priorly mentioned person down. I, as the only one in Aer around his age that had beaten him in a fight, was suggested by Dimitri, my father, to go and kill my old friend. Of course, nobody asked my opinion on the matter.

"Honey, she'll be fine. Tobias and her were equally powered back then, but we've been training her with some of the best tutors in existence." Dimitri argued. "Even if she gets a bit weaker, she'll be plenty strong to deal with him."

If Fiora wasn't lying about how powerful Tobias was, then I doubt I could stand a chance, even if I slipped through the Aerial Barrier without losing my Godship. Tobes, I thought, looking out the window of our mansion, where did we go wrong?

    [Fiora]

"I'll make you a deal. You must know how lucky you are, since I have only made a deal of this caliber with one other person." Xeltia said, watching the stars as if they were doing something other than float around. "I will give you the power to witness the universe within your dreams, in exchange for the energy you will regenerate in three hours of sleep. You may not interact with anything, but you will have omniscience while sleeping."

The deal seemed pretty sweet. Getting to see whatever I wanted was music to my ears. I'd be able to keep track of anything and everything without paying too hefty of a price. "Deal." I said, putting my hand out for him to shake. He accepted my invitation and clasped hands with me, then shook. "I must ask, was the deal this easy for the other person? I'm surprised that not everyone is utilizing this."

Xeltia had been looking at me when we made the deal, but moved his gaze off somewhere far away when I asked. "The other guy didn't make the same exchange as we have. He chose to forfeit any dreams he would ever have while sleeping in order to grant his dream — the goal kind."

(( I read them, and they sound interesting. Let's give it some time before you make them, though. Demi, although this is a spoiler for what I'm going to be doing, will be the Gods' "Counter-Tobias Strategy". As the outcome of the original WOTD shows... Yeah. I can't post much more tonight, but I'll see with tomorrow. ))

(( I'd consider Alice to be a Fallen Angel. Anyways, can you guys guess this character before opening the spoilers? I'll give two hints: I'm abusing my ability to make Gods and this character was from the original WOTD. Since it wasn't my character, I revived the app the way the creator would want it to be. ))

    Name: Demitria "Demi" Ignis

    Age: 20

    Gender: Female

    Race: Fallen Angel

Appearance: Demitria looks like nothing short of perfection. Her amber eyes dazzle in the evening light, shining as if they had stolen the luminosity of the stars. Her brown hair remains behind her, flowing down her shoulders softly. Demi's lips are colored brilliant, carmine scarlet. She doesn't wear much make-up, yet enough to compliment her face. She has a sculpted figure with very little fat nor muscle, yet she resonated an aura of strength. A pair of arched eyebrows looked down on sweeping eyelashes. Her delicate ears framed a button nose. A set of dazzling, angel-white teeth hid behind her lips. While she isn't tall, standing at only a meager 5'4", she is still able to look powerful despite her height. Unlike her family, there is no crest on her skin.

Onto the clothing. While she is clearly a fashionista and likes to change frequently, her most favored outfit is a white tank top with small flames designs on the lower left side. She's outgrown it and thus it doesn't cover her entire abdomen, but a bit of her stomach showing has as of yet to kill anyone. Overtop of this, she wears a sort of thin, translucent, coat made of soft, peach-colored, fabric. It does not supply much protection, nor is it convenient while flying, but she has managed to make it fire proof, so she prefers it over other options. On her hands, she wears a set of white, fingerless gloves with tiny sigils written near the seams in red, arcane thread.Covering the base of her legs is a set of light blue denim shorts, the lowest bit having started tearing. Her shoes are usually orange strapped sandals with small rubies. She wears a small flower in her hair which she found while visiting a remote place in Aer, the petals of which are yellow and red. There is a black strap on her right thigh, which functions as a holster for a knife.

Magic: Just as Tobias is a master of Arcane Magic, Demetria has perfected the art of Pyromancy. She is able to fully control fire in every sense of the word, including altering it's temperature to make a flame that will inflict frostbite. The flower in her hair, which is from a species called Volcania, will react to harmful intent by releasing flames to protect itself, or in this case, Demetria. The special flames produced by the Volcania plant are able to disintegrate magic energy.

Chosen Deities: Kalila and Dimitri (her mother and father)

    Expertise: Combat Magic, Swordplay, Baking.

Equipment/Weaponry: Her primary weapon is a rapier hilt that she keeps attached to her belt unless in combat. Similar to Tobias, she is able to create condensed flames to act as the hilt. Just in case of emergencies, she does half a small dagger strapped to her thigh, as mentioned earlier.

Relationship(s) To Current Characters: Tobias Dawn, Former Friend; Garrett, Friend (Prior to Titaint taking him over); Fiora, Acquaintance.

    Other: Muffins

(( Angels can easily be explained in the sense of perspective. In the eyes of most of humanity, there are two types of gods: Major and Minor. According to a lore I'm making up to cover my butt, the term "Fallen Angels" was coined up by humans solely because it sounded better than "Fallen Minor Gods".

When I get home, I'm going to be making a third character. This person will be a both a Protagonist and an Antagonist, depending on your perspective. ))

Something felt off, but I was too worn out to investigate. Perhaps someone else could, but considering they were fighting for longer than I was, I could possibly be the most battle-ready of the group. I could leave the motel and figure out what I had sensed, but the soft embrace of the bed lured me in, just as a siren might from the old stories Tobias would read me. He taught me so much, but so little of it was about magic. Just thinking about the old ways made me a bit weaker, the little remaining control over my body now stolen as I was swept away into a slumbering abyss.

The scene within my dream was an unfamiliar one, while having the resonance of one that I had envisioned every night. I was floating in space, amongst the stars which had always been positioned higher than I could climb. Every corner of the universe was within my view, but I couldn't quite understand what was going on. What I thought would make me apprehensive was instead comforting me.

"Hey," a voice called out, "Fiora Dawn, correct?" The voice came from nowhere and it held no familiarity to those who I've heard. I could not tell if it was a man nor a woman, just an it. "Oh, maybe I should go for a physical state. But what would you prefer... Ah, I've got it.

Countless celestial objects began moving slightly faster, each one arching toward a central point until, in a burst of energy, they collided. What was there was teenage boy, probably around my age. His hair was weird, having most of his hair combed onto the right side of his head, with the left side being shaven fairly close to the skin, the color being a black darker than the void around us, but was lit up with small lights just as the night was filled with the stars. His skin tone had a soft, tan hue. The mysterious man stood taller than I was, and his body was fairly lean, yet muscular all the same. He was adorned in a midnight blue robe with a white, curtain-like sash going over his left shoulder. His eyes were scarlet, which made it look like his eyes were a miniature solar eclipse. He was, all in all, fascinating.

"My name is Xeltia." The stranger said, calmly. "I was the first King of the Gods."

    [Tobias]

"Did you feel that?" Quincy asked, looking west. Obviously, I had already detected the presence and determined it's strength, skills, and importance.

"It is nothing to fear," I reassured my student, "Titaint used to like to make his own toys, but he switched to stealing them from others. That was nothing more than one of his earlier projects." Raising two fingers, the earth followed my command, allowing several platforms of stone to rise a couple meters off the ground. I couldn't allow myself to get distracted by Titaint's experiments, not this time, at least. I had only five days to prepare a tournament, which would gather the strongest of all across the country. While my actions stated that my goal was to defeat the Tainted, my intentions were not so pure.

A man, whom I observed was staying in the motel as a guest, spoke to me about my magic. I never really found such a simple feat impressive, but many things were special to mortals. "It's basically a ball of my energy. Nothing huge, but still pretty neat, I guess." I answered, sheepishly. "I'm a sorceress from a far away place. I hope to see you around, but I really should be going to bed."

Waving goodbye, I headed toward the rooms I had rented and used magic to hold the keys in place on their respective doors, then chose mine of the bunch and entered. The magic 'glue' would dissipate once someone touched the key it held, so technically anybody could take the key, but I had an odd feeling that the others would get the idea.

    [Tobias]

"Dang it." My foe said, panting as if he were about to cough up a lung. "How the heck are you that fast?" Giving him a bit of breathing room, I took my foot off of his chest, where it was previously crushing him.

"I don't remember your name, but you must have left before you turned eighteen, Aer Time." I responded without answering his question. "The alcohol in Aer is designed to become the ultimate relaxant. It is much more potent than this watered-down imitation. You're clever, picking up in my sonar technique and slowly luring me here. However, this round is on me." Without any wasted movements, I plucked up my foe by the wrist then tossed him out of the ring. I had won effortlessly. The time between stopping my ruse of being intoxicated and slamming him on the floor was faster than most of the audience would be able to see. I hopped over the barricade and collected my reward of several hundred dollars.

Leaving the bar, I began searching for the lack of an aura. All living beings have at least a small sum of magic energy, so the easiest way to locate someone nearby who is hiding their aura would be with a short range, finely tuned sonar technique and just look for where there is no energy. A mistake that many mages make is trying to detect in a sphere around themselves, when that wasted too much energy. By focusing this detection method to 10° of that sphere, then spinning it around with themselves as the axis, a much larger area could be scanned with just as much energy and only slightly slower. It would take me about half a second to scan the area, regardless of it's size, with a medium tier detection spell. This one, on the other hand, would take anywhere from one to one and a half seconds to complete one cycle, and several cycles were required to get a clear idea of what was happening. Quincy wasn't far away, so getting to him would be a breeze.

"Hey," he commented, noticing my presence. Godspeed had gotten me over to him easily. "What's on the agenda now? Want to go to another city only for it to be destroyed?"

"In five days," I said, ignoring his sarcasm, "I will find the most powerful people in this country. Thousands will gather in order to join a squadron of maybe twenty people. I will host a competition to narrow the total down to only the ripest of the fruits. In ten days, however..."

"We will wipe out every single Tainted in this country."

"Welcome to peaceful Verona." I said, reading a sign just outside the area. "I'll go in and find us a place for the night, since it's getting late." Without leaving any room for debate, I began walking into the small town. From what I could tell, it was pretty well off considering there was no visible guards or source of protection.

A small motel was just a short walk away, which I found after asking for directions to one such establishment. It was a two story, fairly dull building with a couple dozen rooms available. Purchasing a couple rooms for two nights, just in case we intended on staying here for a bit, I felt satisfied with what I had done. My sign to the others would be simple: a magic bolt fired into the air, signaling my location.

    [Tobias]

The bar I had entered was loud and obnoxious, but it was the only place I the area that I could possibly get a decent drink. Unfortunately, this wasn't just a pub, but it had an extension for brawls. Prior to now, I had never seen a boxing ring in such close vicinity to liquor. My muscles, both physical and arcane, were tense, so I figured a glass of scotch and watching some fools beat the crud out of each other would help me unwind. Most mortal alcoholic beverages were easy to stomach, but something about the content of this place's drinks made it pack a larger punch.

"I'll go and get us a motel room." Quincy said, but his words were beginning to sound disoriented. He, being under age, hadn't a drop to drink, but there's no way I could be this wasted by just a single cup. Honestly, this was the first time I was truly impressed with something that mortals had come up with. This drink had to be mixed in with some sort of muscle relaxant, as I could almost feel my physical form melt away.

My pleasure was, unfortunately, interrupted by some buff looking men. "Ah, so Tobes came down to Eternia. Why don't we have a little brawl over in the ring, just for old time's sake?" Neither the voice nor the face was recognizable, but this was likely due to the booze. My senses were dulled down, but even drunken I could tell he was a Fallen Angel. Just by looking at him, I could tell what his general abilities were. Around his neck was a crimson tribal tattoo fashion to look like barbed wire, which was iconic for Dimitri's family. He was clearly a second class Fallen Angel. He wouldn't stand a chance against a first class one like me, but my intoxicated state could prove to be an issue.

"I'd prefer old time's sake." I said, pronouncing it SAH-KEY, a type of alcohol that is frequently mixed with ethereal matter back in Aer. "But if you'd like to go a few rounds, I'll beat the stuffing out of you any day."

"Great, let's go." He said, pushing his way toward the ring. I followed slowly, hoping to not make a fool of myself while my body was out of order. "You mortals are 'bout to see a fight between two fallen angels. Place your bets now." He roared above the noisy crowd. I heard a bit of chattering between different onlookers and I noticed how a vast majority of the people were putting their money on my opponent. Time to prove them wrong. I stepped into the small arena and prepared for combat.

Unlike me, the other Fallen Angel wasn't completely wasted.

"Who's ready for a bit more fun?" I asked, pulling out my metal rod and extending it to a full size staff. Beginning slowly, I started to twirl in vertically with my right hand. Purple sigils appeared in the wake of the ends, filling the air with magic. In my left hand, I started forming another spell, this one a bit different from the previous. It shot out and delivered itself to my comrades once I finished preparing. "The ground around you will be charged with lightning. You won't get hurt from it, but the same isn't true for the Taint."

For my next trick, I raised my right arm and changed the direction of my staff to be spinning horizontally, like the blades of a helicopter. The runic symbols that had began appearing around me glowed a bit brighter as they spread out. By putting a bit more concentration into this action, I changed the sigils to butterflies made of raw magical energy. The summoned bugs flew above the battleground and slowly formed a humongous magic circle. This one didn't take terribly long to complete, but there was more to go. Two additional circles, each larger than the one before it, were formed out of the butterflies.

One of those who I would likely work with, who was actually quite advanced, suggested retreating. "Alright, retreat it is." I replied, calmly. "I'll make some noise and let you guys escape, then I'll follow. Closest territory to here is ... the West, so just start walking that way. I'll catch up."

"Do you think we should tell them?" Quincy asked, as I set him down. I had carried my apprentice to the outskirts of the city using Godspeed, which was fairly convent for him but ached my back a bit. He was referring to the likely fact that those people fighting for their lives may not know that those who lived inside what existed of the city had been evacuated. I ignored the fact that I had ended not only countless Tainted lives but also human ones.

"They'll find out soon enough that they're just defending the hollow husk of the city." I replied, looking away from the ruined metropolis. "Just as it was predicted: the city will crumble."

"The name's Fiora. By how your presence feels, I take it you're a Fallen Angel. Welcome to the club." I said cheerfully. My energy levels were abnormally high for someone who had just undergone torture. My wounds were gone alongside all signs of fatigue. My tank was full and already burning a hole in my pocket. I was just itching to get started. "Everyone, you'll notice your movements will get faster and your punches'll daze the enemy — I'm going to try out imbuing all of you with electricity."

Using a couple hand signs, energy flowed from my body to several places, all of which were locations that I had sensed aura unlike the Tainted. My brother created a spell which he dubbed Godspeed, but this one was a dulled down version of it. While they wouldn't be zooming around faster than the eye can see, these people would definitely be able to win an Olympic event or two. This, unlike my brother's specialty of combat-based magic, was my forte — empowering. My next spell had a strong Air affinity. Whoever was effected by it would find more ease with the simple task of breathing.

"Alrighty, now you all should be able to breathe a bit easier, pun intended. You should recover stamina faster and get fatigued much more slowly." I told the ruined city. Another wave of energy was sent out to my targets, hopefully making them stronger. I hadn't run out of tricks yet, but for the time being, this should be enough.

    [Tobias]

"Oi, doctor." I said, as the medical team finished treating me for magical 'whiplash'. By using so much energy at one point, I had to face serious consequences. Fortunately, the team that healed me was familiar with the issue and fixed me up quickly. "Do me a favor. Show me a basic healing spell, an advanced healing spell, and whatever spell you used to increase my regeneration rate." The doctor agreed, albeit being a bit confused on why. The first spell was incredibly simple, making me feel quite ashamed that I hadn't known it already. The second one required a bit more studying than the previous, but I figured out how it ticked soon enough. The third, which was the one I'd have to teach her if I was give the chance, was almost as complex as the advanced healing spell. I thanked the kind man and let him continue on his way.

"Where to next? I can already see you're board of this city." Quincy asked, picking up a couple books, then looked at me expectantly. I flicked a finger and a small rift opened to my pocket dimension, where he began storing our textbooks.

"I've decided I'm going to begin going town-to-town gathering followers." I replied, stretching my tired limbs. "I'll find the strongest or most potent from each place we visit and form a group."

"Would you like someone from this city before it crumbles? Those fighters are fairly powerful, although not as strong as I am." My apprentice responded rather proudly. The kid was sort of correct. He was trained by me personally and thus was stronger than most mages his age, but his arrogance was far too advanced for his current status.

"I bet that Bionic guy could go toe-to-toe with you." I said, with a light chuckle. "Nah, I've chosen my champion from amongst them, now I must see him prosper without my aid."
