Well um hello can I get back on our an explanation why I was banned
I have one child to parent. I'm not really interested in parenting two more. I'm not interested in following someone around to make sure he's not stealing, building where he or she has been asked not to, and generally making constant demands.
I'm perfectly happy to have young people on the server. I'm even pretty patient. But I don't want to have to constantly be saying "stop that, no, quit it, don't build there, put it back, stop stealing, no you can't have that, no you're not allowed to build on the spawn area, no you can't take stuff from the spawn area, stop killing the horses..."
Not stealing, not building on other people's stuff (including mine), etc. are all common sense.
RULES UPDATED just in case people need to be TOLD not to steal or to kill others' animals.
it is a survival realm. No PVP. Although I do mostly just build on the spawn area in creative, so I'm not always in survival mode. If that matters. Others who join up won't be in creative, though. It's only so I can try to make a nice looking spawn area (to my own way of thinking, anyway).
So I have a realm that doesn't see a whole lot of action. In fact, for right now, it's myself and my 8 year old daughter. I'm specifically looking for players who want to build and make friends; and who are willing to be patient with an 8 year old. She loves to be silly, and she'll say odd things in chat, but she's not malicious and won't ever hurt your buildings. She might hang around you a lot, though.
I'd like to have a small group who'll enjoy each other's company and be thoughtful of each other.
I've attached a couple pictures of the spawn area I've created so far. I'd like to think I'm a semi-decent builder. It's slow going, because obviously I have no mods and i've done this in creative but all by hand.
Anyhow, again... I'm looking for considerate players because my 8 year old would be quite crushed to have anything happen to the realm, so mature and thoughtful players are appreciated.
PS, we live in Eastern US time zone and are usually on later in the evenings weekdays or during days on weekends. (Edit: The realm for now runs 24/7. As long as no one griefs or is a general jackass, I'll leave it that way.) I have no mods and as of this time, do not use or care about command blocks. So the server is pretty vanilla to say the least.
Rules, else anyone pretend they lack common sense.
-- No griefing in any shape or form
-- No swearing (my 8 year old plays, she's NOT mature!)
-- Be considerate and work things out together
-- Please don't infringe on each other's builds. (Build away from other people)
-- No stealing.
-- No killing villagers or animals either at spawn, or in other people's builds.
3. What are some of the most complex redstone or best builder projects u have worked on.
I'm not big on redstone, but I'm an excellent builder of stuff. I build temples, cities, docks, massive underground cities, snow castles, sky castles, sky islands, ships, windmills and farmsteads, and many other things. In general, I build expansive builds with many points of interest even within them.
4. Why are you interested in playing on this realm?
I'd like to have company while I build stuff. I do have a realm, myself, but only my 8 year old and I play on it. And she spends every other week with her dad and I don't play on it while she's not here (it upsets her). So... yeah. But I'm not big on some of the nonsense that goes on, on some servers. As you said, mud huts, pokemon art that spills over onto everyone else's builds... yada yada (insert some really super awesome complaining here--I'm very good at it!). I'm also looking for some mature acting company and I love to look at other people's builds (and let's face it, people love to show it off, too!).
For example, here are some that I find to be "essential" for a basic server:
LWC Protection
- Locks chests and doors
- Can create chest shops
World Edit
- This does allow you to build, but it has many other important functions that cannot be overlooked!
- Allows you to disable or enable fire spread
- Allows you to disable or enable mob spawning and/or mob griefing (creepers leaving craters)
- Ditto for tnt explosions, etc.
- This also allows you to create "zones" of PVP or no PVP
Towny
- Lets people create towns and regions, they can PVP enable or disable their town, etc.
The basic platform for your server should be Bukkit / Craftbukkit. You can find more here: http://bukkit.org/
Bukkit in and of itself allows for improved management of your Console interface, and all of your sundry plugins.
Anyway. I'm sure we'd all be happier to help, but you do need to tell us what you are wanting. Such as the necessity, or lack thereof, of locking chests, shops, economy (money), etc. etc. Just saying, "I have specific things I want" doesn't help. WHAT specific things do you want, please?
To be honest, I think there should be a age rule on the forums. 13 and over. At least then we will have some maturity and two-sided opinions.
LOL, "adults only" forums are often far, far worse than the ones that allow kids. There's the old saying, "kids are cruel," well... adults can be outright vicious and malicious.
Nostalgia's a beech my friend. You just gotta wait for it to get by.
Honestly, I can't find myself playing the older versions of Minecraft without getting bored due to lack of stuff.
I agree with that last sentence especially. I can't imagine being limited to dirt, cobble, and wood anymore, lol.
I'm very happy with MineCraft, but then again, I'm a builder type. I absolutely love having more to build with. It feels great to have choices and diversity in my building blocks!
Every time something new comes out, I'm like a kid that just got new legos.
Yeah, that didn't work. The save is in her folder, but it doesn't show up on her single player list of games. It's the same edition 1.7.4... but the map won't show up in her list.
no offense but that is the most basic and useless answer someone can give.
One man's "basics" is another man's "advanced". Remember that loads of people play MC who aren't computer wizards. They may not even know what "advanced system care" is, so your question might have been too advanced. You just never know.
There's a reason why instruction manuals include the "troubleshooting" tip of, "Check to ensure that the device is plugged in and turned on."
My daughter plays MC, also. She'd like to have one of my singleplayer maps on her PC.
I loaded it onto a USB and dumped it into the saved games folder on her PC... it doesn't show up on her list of games once you get into her pick list of games.
Can someone please help us?
It seemed like it should be pretty straight-forward, but apparently not.

And at that, I think I'm going to close down invites for a while. See how people match up and not get too many to keep track of, lol.
Invites out to all above this post.

What do you want to accomplish with your plugins?
