Hello,
thanks for your poll.
Sorry for not reading all posts here.
I think this:
1) As Skelator424 said, if you put servers into spotlights, you will bring MANY players to those servers. So,
===> make sure the server admins are fine with that. Too much activity on a random server = server crash. Plus, some servers may prefer not being put in spotlights.
2) most servers are "the same" about their rules, honestly. What truely changes on most servers is just the buildings.
===> servers that deserve a spotlight more than others, in my opinion, are servers with very different rules, uncommon, unique rules. Those are often rare, and with few players, so point "1)" still strongly applies.

Yeah, well, i managed to do it but for some buildings the number of mobs to kill is insanely high. I changed the configuration, but i'm afraid it doesn't impact the already-generated buildings.
Anyway, the difficulty is greatly increased by the mod i'm using Infernal Mobs.
I still love this mod and would like to help creating floors to increase variability.

Well, i just tested intensively, and in full enchanted diamond with potions i cannot un-haunt a building. Mobs keep appearing.
I read (can't remember where) that to un-haut a building we should kill a certain number of mobs, but for now it seems impossible for some buildings.
I guess nobody reading the topic so far has any tip, download or tutorial on how to add a lot of buildings / floors to the generation method of this mod?

Hello sir (or lady). Your mod is absolutely awesome, i dreamed of it years ago.
However, on this wonderful basis, what we should add is more variability in buildings (i run for now the latest version and i did not find any other "pattern" to add to the mod). If i understand what has been written here, it's not just "buildings" but "floors" types and levels combinations.
I'm all ready to help if you can direct me what to do. With more buildings diversity, i can't write how awesome the result will be.
And if i missed any link to download and add already existing diversity, please anyone help and tell me where and how to.
Thank you very much!

Thank you for your work, Tommsy64, and good luck with this mess!

Hello,
as i have a problem with private messages, i send you quite the same message here, where you said you would take skill trees proposals.
I'm ready to build a full gameplay revolving around skill trees, so if you feel like developing quite a challenging tree which will be very innovative and fun to play, tell me and i'll start working on it (it will take me quite some time of course, but will be worth it). Please be sure that you won't change your mind after a few days or weeks, however.
I can even include some of the proposals of EmperourPenguin, some are quite cool.
If you want the big lines, the gameplay would be like this :
- some grinding involved, but grinding unlocks things, it doesn't empower the player,
- reward not dying, while letting a chance to dying players to come back / not to lose everything if they are good,
- let choices to the players, and letting them make other choices if "at home",
- include some sort of easy but deep customization (if i start giving the details, those are not "big lines" anymore),
- wouldn't kill the Minecraft feeling some of us have when playing.

Same problem to me. On chrome and on firefox.

Hello,
in 1.10.2, Project Red works fine with a lot of mods i've been trying. However, there is a mod needing your help; the guys of IndustrialCraft² don't know why their inventories' blocks can't be accessed by Project Red pipes. I've asked the help of another dev', one of Modular Turrets mod (because those blocks also work fine with Project Red pipes), but they can't know where it comes from.
As you can see here, on IC² forums, they don't know and would like to know how Project Red pipes access inventories so that they can fix it, in 1.10.2 (quoting Chocohead :
)
Thanks for any help to them, if you post here i'll copy-paste to their forums.

Hello,
first, thanks a LOT for this work. I've always felt this mod so necessary, and couldn't get it working properly some months (years too) ago.
I installed version 3.2.2, and I had a bug at the server startup, something about "icons". I installed version 3.2.2A, and it seems to be working great!
Even if silent, I'll still look at this thread. Thank you guys!

I still need to find out how to add any tool to be able to XP a given skill with, or any block to be able to get XP on, badly. If anyone has the solution, do not hesitate.

That's a nice idea, but so far I've not found an existing mod about it. Definitely should be done, and I'd add it to the server I'm talking about.

Hello,
still no one interested? I won't drop the project. I'm currently browsing the thousands mods existing to see if that project can be done easily nowadays.
Any help or idea will be gladly appreciated. An existing server could integrate those mods, for example.

Well it's simple. I got this project, which i know would be very much fun for players who love PvP, but I can't finish it yet.
On the modding part, we need :
* a plugin to hide number of players of the server, or fake it randomly, both for the Minecraft servers list and once online.
* an anti-cheat working with the mods i've put.
* an anti-xray working.
* a visible world border (physical or just visual, doesn't matter)
On the rest, we need:
* a server (if I see people are motivated again and/or if i can get another job, i can do it again),
* me making again the working 1.5.2 configuration of plugins&mods on the server OR * me succeeding in putting a working newer configuration,
* people coming, testing without cheating, understand how amazing the server is, and helping to find developers that would do the 4 modding things i listed here above.
The big big problematic part is the anti-cheat, because of all mods running (full list in first post).
You can help, bau5? :-)

due to absolutely 0 answer since last time, and 1 elusive answer from 1 of the 2 guys that told me they would help, this project is on stand-by.
I don't plan to abandon it at all. I just wait for more motivation from myself (as this episode depressed me about the project), updates from mods, and answers from anyone.
+ i don't have the server anymore for now, so before setting another one up... I might join other PvP servers and try to convince their admins that my project is amazing and they could use it.
Feel free to help, post, advice, participate, criticize, anything here.

I've set up a test server. I'm still working on having a sufficient-but-light Minecraft client with superMCSWEET (i'm not used to create Minecraft clients for others), but if anyone wanna join this "alpha" server to see the work done and how it is so far (without the 4 points still needed), feel free to PM me your Minecraft nickname so I add you to the whitelist and I send you a link to the client.
It's private and limited (just a little server I used for my non-pvp server so far that i changed to the pvp server), but it works fine. I'll contact more developers as almost nobody answered me, and so the project is a bit dead on the necessary developing-part.
So feel free to help if you like it!

thanks TheOnlyShad0w for your post. Feel free to change your mind and join us on the ongoing work!
So, the project is officially started. I'm going to state here what we still need and the next steps.
4 WORKS TO BE DONE :
* a mod or plugin to hide (or fake) everywhere the number of players of a server (and who's online).
* a mod or plugin to add a way to show the limits of the OverWorld, the Nether and The End (and remember, when you go to a side, you're teleported to the other side, thanks to Brettflan plugin WorldBorder).
* a mod or plugin to prevent x-ray textures (last resort idea : forcing textures). I think spigot did that, why isn't it working in the MCPC+ 1.6.2 build I'm using?
* an anti-cheat working with the already used mods and plugins. This is the hard part.
In order to get that work done, I'll keep contacting developers, and another guy with me on the project (thanks to Mushroomhostage for giving me his nickname!), superMCSWEET, is going to communicate too on the subject. We need good souls to develop that stuff, it's unavoidable.
Next step besides the communication : I will re-host the server with what currently works, so that people interested can join (whitelist, PM me) and test it.
Wanna help? You're welcome, post here or PM me!
