I don't mean something like nostolgiacraft or the veteran pack. I'm talking about the default texture files from Alpha 1.2.5 (or similar), in the form of a texturepack.

    for MC 1.2.5?

I remember playing Flan's back then, so I know they exist, but I can't find them anywhere

I get a game-breaking crash when I put a stack of water cells in the GUI. The world still works but whenever I open the backpack my game crashes without a crash report.

Calclavia, you are falling behind in the world. You should have had this updated ages ago.

apology accepted. As to it being a slow computer i have already allocated 6 of my 8 gigabytes of RAM to Minecraft. Does it really need more? btw, this computer is hardly slow, it gets 50-60 fps on the 1.6 version of the mod, but i will try it.

ok i tried it and i figured out my problem. My render distance was set to 21 chunks XD. So i set render distance down and it worked!

    thanks!

Whenever I create a new world with this mod (or even open an old one) minecraft crashes, without ever even showing me the world. It just displays a "shutting down the internal server" screen and stops the program. I looked at the world file and it looks pretty empty to me, but i dont know much about this kind of stuff so dont take my word for it. Here's the crash report:

Please tell me how to fix this it worked fine on my friend's computer just not mine.
EDIT: i tried it with the world i used on my friend's computer and it still didn't work. Is it because i am using Java 7?
on the crash report about halfway down it said something about "Server brand: ~~ERROR~~ NullPointerException: null"
in the "affected level" part. I may not know much about minecraft's world handling code, but that doesn't look too good to me.

posted a message on [WIP] [Forge] The Duct Tape Mod
Mr, Ouatcheur, your post has reminded me as to some of the reasons that my mod is in the WIP section. I have NOT worked on item balance at all, and the fact that you have to craft glue when slimeballs would be adequate is quite strange indeed, now that I think about it. As for the boots, you cannot self-arrest with them; any height you fall will be counted as fall damage, so you can only go up, not down or you will take fall damage. The idea that climbing walls consumes durability is quite a good one, and I might add it in the next update. The durability and protection is slightly less than that of leather boots. The duct tape sheet does NOT permenantly stick mobs/players, it only slows them down by a major amount, similar to cobwebs, but it is much easier to break. I may make it so that you can only tape a tool once, or maybe twice, but that would require a major overhaul of the repairing code, and that takes time.

The repairing aspect of my mod was actually more of an afterthought than a main goal, I only added it because everybody knows Duct Tape is used for fixing stuff. I will turn the icon, because the recipe IS horizantal.

If you would recommend something better than wool for the recipe, I would be glad to change the recipe. I put wool because i had no idea what else to use.

Also, I think that Slowness potions are really underpowered, especially considering how hard it is to obtain them in any PVP scenario other than factions.

There are things in the mod that balance this, possibly too much, HOWEVER you will have to play the mod yourself to find that out :)

Also, slime spawns are completely relative to the phase of the moon.

The recipe should be slimeballs and.. paper? Unless there's some really fancy diamond duct tape I've never heard of.

    Quote from jde

As a huge fan of duct tape, i support this idea. It might be kinda neat based off the way you described it.

May i suggest that it is made out of string and slime balls though?
Most duct tapes are made out of a form of cloth. It's what gives it it's strength and the somewhat stringy look and texture on the inside.

The recipie involves string, wool (i didn't know what else to use), and glue, which is crafted with slimeballs and sugar.

Diamond duct tape is a good idea though....
maybe it would add an enchantment to the tool or armor...

    Dude, I made this.

The recipies and balance are a bit different, but it is kind of the same thing.

There are also some "extra" things in it >:)

    The Duct Tape Mod

I have been looking for a mod that adds duct tape for a while, so i decided to make one myself. Here it is.

    Download:

    1.7.10- http://tinyurl.com/l8zyx2o

    Glue

Glue is an item used to craft Duct Tape. It has no other use. To craft it you place sugar, a slimeball, and a glass bottle on a crafting grid.

    Duct Tape

Duct tape is an item that you can use to repair any tool.

HOWEVER, it is only duct tape, so it will remove any enchantments on your tool.

    It is crafted like this:

    Duct Tape Boots

Duct Tape Boots are so sticky, you can use them to climb on walls.

They can be crafted like this:

    "Sticky" Grenades

"Sticky" Grenades are an item that can be thrown to create a patch of duct tape on the floor, which mobs will get stuck in.

This is what the stuff on the ground looks like:

They can be crafted like this:

    Secret Items

These items cannot be crafted, and cannot be legitamately obtained in Survival, but are fun to mess around with... If you can find them >:)
