1. You were originally credited and it was removed, then edited back in.
2. Look at the damn change log. There are many brand new textures from scratch. As far as the time it took, I have never done this kind of work before.
3. I am happy to give away any of my textures once the pack is abandoned or finished.
4. The GUI is brand new from scratch because yours wasn't very good.
5. I thought your pack was abandoned I even tried PM'ing you.
At least I tried to make a better pack for the community. Sorry if my work has upset you, I do understand where you are coming from and wish you would have PM'ed me before freaking out in my thread. Can we at least talk further?
I have 3 messages in my inbox, and the only one sent by you is in regards to the post I just made.
As far as what adventure has brought up, I didn't change any of the particles so they didn't come from my pack, at least.
This is probably the funniest thing I've read all day. I wouldn't have seen this if a friend of mine didn't point it out.
You didn't even attempt to credit me for anything until you were called out on it.
This pack is loosely based on the original Zelda Texture Pack
By loosely you mean direct recolours, or otherwise rips of the work I've done, right? Removing black outlines, and slightly changing colours isn't "loosely basing" off of anything, it's copying and calling your own.
My pack has 40+ new blocks. I have also added many new items. These new textures are all created by me and this is the only texture pack they appear in.
What new textures?
Okay I admit, there are some new items; I stopped updating and never got around to updating for beds, or sandstone, or the nether... but come on, man, removing black outlines from old sprites I've done isn't doing your own work.
To other texture pack creators:
Please don't copy and paste my original textures. If you wish to build your own Zelda pack I would suggest you look for the abandoned pack by Nerolucien and build it from that. I have put almost 60hrs into this pack, so if you steal all my hard work It would make me really sad.
This is the kicker to everything on here. You tell others not to do what you yourself have done. I'm okay with people editing my work- hell I made edited versions of my work to tailor to specific people, but this is hypocrisy at it's finest. I literally cannot understand how you could have possibly put 60 hours into this project considering a majority of it is just minor edits to MY work, and I barely but in probably around 10.
Of course far be it from me to go off guns blazing without any sort of evidence. These are just side-by-side shots of my work versus your work. That doesnt even get into the GUI, the boat, the art, and the armour.
Now let me get this straight, it's not the modification of not only my work, but everyone else who helped me with it, it's making small/no edits, taking older versions of my work, and calling it your own, and then having the sheer audacity to not tell others to do the same. For shame, NTuneR. For shame.
Not to NOT give credit where credit is due, your redstone torch is an interesting choice versus the flame rod, and your sandstone is nice.
Go under the /misc folder, open the grasscolor.png and make the entire image transparent; the grass colour will now always be the same colour - whatever it looks like in the terrain.png.
If you're using the default/a texture set that relies on the grasscolor.png, open the terrain.png and manually apply colour to the grass.
Well, seeing as how there is a minecraft texture pack competition I figured it was time to dust off the ol' photoshop and get crackin' at making a fully custom texture pack.
Critiques very welcome.
Shown: Smooth stone, new dirt (that I hate and will change very soon - it looks to close to default), PLACEHOLDER sand/grass/dirtgrass.
The shape of the dirt-grass side will be changed, but still almost the entire height of block.
The coal is a placeholder from an older smoothstone, hence it being discoloured. The shape is also placeholder.
Shown: Leaves, tree trunks, placeholder grass.
I realize it's dark and will update this with a lighter screen shot later, after I make some tweaks.
Shown: Cobblestone, tree trunks, wooden planks.
At first I tried to go for a mahogany coloured wooden tile, but it didn't look right. I don't really like this one, and is more or less a placeholder until I can get mahogany to look okay.
Shown: Iron Door, torches
I wanted to keep a very dark, wrought-iron feel for the door, and I carried that design through the torches, which is a candle placed in a wrought-iron holder.
There's a lot of inconsistency when it comes to the style of the graphics. In my opinion you should stick to one art-style, not several.
I dislike the new armours as the look too detailed, and some of the tools lack the outlines that the other items have.
The exact reason why I leave old sprites in there is because of that, I mostly use the old armours because I like the ALTTP style; the Magic armour, zora armour, and fierce deity armours were added because many people were requesting them; the only tools that lack outlines are the swords, which is only half true, as the master sword and kokiri sword have partial outlines, but it's either sacrificing the space and quality for the weapons look (fierce deity sword and razor sword) for the sake of outlines, or keep it as is. Ultimately if you want outlines, feel free to do it, but at this point I will not be doing so until I can find a way to do it that I'm satisfied with.

There's also the issue of items being in the wrong context, like 3 iron bars turning into a glass bottle or pigs dropping hearts that become ½ heart containers when cooked in a furnace, in my opinion the icons need to be adjusted to make sense in gameplay terms, new icons should be made if needed but with the Zelda artstyle.
While I agree that 3 iron bars turning into bottles is silly, I don't think it's a problem - the sole item in the Zelda series that Link uses to tranport milk, water, fish, bugs, etc. is the bottle so I think, being a Zelda overhaul, it's an okay thing to do, and if people don't like it I won't be offended if they don't use it, or replace it with something else.
The hearts, which is the default health drop in Zelda, upgrades to not a 1/2 heart, but a piece of heart, which is much greater in terms of value, as collecting 4 of them let's Link increase the amount of health he has by a whole container, so making the heart turn into a piece of heart makes sense to me.

The tileset is very nice, although wool looks too much like the default texture.
It does because I don't have a proper Zelda reference of what to change it to, so for now, it's just a block of cloth; dramatically changing it for the sake of change seems pretty silly. I really do need suggestions for it, though

As for the interface, the black background is a bad idea due to some items being black and most items having black outlines. It might be faithful to LTTP but there needs to be some compromise for it to work..
Honestly, I see no problems with it, when you highlight something the background changes to a gray colour anyways so you can see what's there, and the things like flint and coal have highlights and numbers next to them so they're not completely lost in the GUI.
If someone doesn't like the black background it's as easy as opening paint and using the bucket tool to change it.

I decided sometime yesterday morning I would post this tonight, so this is what i've been using. I've been updating it slowly as I go along, making use of good ideas and sprites and so on (like the deku stick).
The swords were made based off of the concept art for them when I found out about it.. the order isn't quite accurate, but the Master Sword looks so much nicer for the diamond one. My choice for the phonograph probably seems a bit odd (and a bit retro), but I was copying the one in Minish Cap since it was the one I could think of with the best full view of it (didn't even think of Guru-guru's one in OoT)... I just can't add the crank to one side since it'd be mirrored on all of them. Also I tried a bunch of different textures, but in the end I never could find one that worked better for gravel.
I was planning on looking into the growing plants next, since a few of them haven't sat right with me since I put them in. Also, I've yet to be able to find anything that really works for leather...
THAT'S what I couldn't find! When I was coming up with what to change the paper to I couldn't for the life of me remember the map! I kept thinking "I know there is paper in one of these Zelda games, why can't I find it?" and I kept looking at the OoT items; D'oh.
Those apples are from Alttp, too, right? Awesome; I can't believe I forgot to change them, too.
Mind if I add them to the official?

Yeah the armors and some of the tools were added by request. I still use the LTTP tunics.

After playing through Majora's mask again, I realized that there's no gilded sword in this mod!
so I spent a few hours or so working on this:
Hope you like it!
Looks cool, man; want me to add it in the extra items on the official items.png?
Quote from DragonNinja »
Hope you don't mind, I added the music box, loosely based off of this one Click for Image.
In game.
It could use some highlights to add depth, but it looks very cool
I might try to make my own Gurguru terrain box, eventually. I could probably add it in as an extra terrain item on the official, like on the items.png, for people to decide on, if you want.

heres with new carts added
Is the chest a custom sprite, or is it based off of a Link's awakening chest, or something? Very cool.

Here is the updated items and terrain. I made clay actually look like clay instead of white, also changed the stick to the Deku stick, and put the new carts, jukebox, and records in there.... better now arbitrayer? lol
Cool clay, man; I kept the clay white because I know there is some natural clay that is white, and the original is white, but Looks good.

Do you like the new Zora style armor? I personally didn't.... If you have any suggestions let me know....
I never liked the TP Zora armour, but I kept getting requests to do it; it's in the chainmail slot for a reason, and the old armour sprites are still there if someone wants to change it back to the original.

I like just the different color tunics myself. But LTTP was the first zelda I ever finished :smile.gif:
AlttP was great, but I could never let myself choose a favourite Zelda game.
Hey, what's up - I'm a streamer over at vinecraft now; come check it out.
Some other streamers also use my texture pack if you want to stop in and preview it, or if I'm there you can ask me questions, give suggestions, or watch me work on my pack.

Oh man, I was this close to making an AlttP hookshot sprite, but Opted to make the OoT one instead.
Here Cheesey, just made this in a few minutes.

Me too!

It's the Twilight Princess Zora Armour, which has lots of little things that are hard to translate into a 16x16 box, if that helps.

Some zora armour, but I hate it and it will probably go over many changes.
