I'd like to ask a question about creating a character in this game.

Am I allowed to create a character that didn't sign a "deal with the devil" by opening one of the "Pandora's Boxes" and trading one of the aspects of himself for a supernatural power(my RPG characters in general tend to be suspicious about anything that gives them an overwhelming advantage(be it a fortune, an extremely high social status and ESPECIALLY supernatural powers) and seems to come at very low or no price, analyze situations they get into, question everything and have an independent worldview; also, I believe that the human body and a soul is a tightly-connected system, removing one major aspect of it basically dooms it over time).

In the OP, there is short paragraph made regarding this:

There is also the option to play no powers, while you may have some skill at wielding a weapon or something, it will be a very different playstyle.

    So go nuts I guess.

Tetra listened observantly as Eide answered her question, at the end realising that she was stuck in a situation very similar to her past childhood. Being left in the slums, with no place to call a real home. Now that she recalled those times, they seemed like they had happened very long ago in a past life. And in a technical sense, she supposed that they did. Tetra had already spent roughly the same amount of time in this house as she did back in those days. Looking back, she had a small realisation about just how much she's matured and learned ever since then.

She couldn't help but feel sympathetic to Eide's current predicament, for very obvious reasons. The years spent out there were some of the worst in her life, and tomorrow always seemed to be a new day in hell. Fairly enough, things were most likely more difficult for Tetra, but pondering over it brought her to the subject of her father who had adopted her, which too felt like ages ago. Even as Tetra thought about it now, she wasn't completely sure what had inspired him to do so, but she was most definitely grateful for it. Quickly pulling herself back into reality before wandering off, as she usually liked to do, Tetra crossed both of her arms slightly, before going on.

"Well, you can always stay with me. I've got lots of space here.", Tetra offered in a genuinely kind tone as she gestured her head to the area surrounding them.

Tetra rested her head on the back of her hand, using the elbow of that arm already placed on the table to support herself. She didn't have much of an idea as to how to proceed forwards in a situation like this. She supposed she could follow the lead about finding her supposed home, but Eide having an inkling feeling not to return there did speak quite a bit. Out of all she could've remembered, she seemed insistent on that. I guess that this part of her memory must've been significant enough to stay through the amnesia. It might be best to listen to its advice for now.

The letter K didn't give away much too. As Tetra rarely socialised with people in the town, she most likely had no lead whatsoever unless lots of time was invested and fervent research was done on the subject of the history of surnames in this village. And even then, it would probably not come up with a lot, considering that no one who knew Eide from before went looking for her, as far as they could tell. She then quickly caught that Eide hadn't really mentioned where she currently lived at though.

"Um, where do you stay at now then?", she asked with a slightly concerned tone in her voice.

This sounds like a good idea, I'm pretty sure a lot more people will be compelled to explore the lands further just to find these, especially for those decorative resin blocks.

    The answer is simply no.
If you'd like an explanation as to why this is, Vazkii has wrote some stuff explaining why mods break every update here.

Careful now. Too often I see people putting in days or even weeks into RPs that flop within days. A stark contrast from the more casual RPs that seem to last forever despite the obvious differences in work.

Yea, it's certainly sad that this kind of thing happens. That RPs with lots of effort put in might have a very short lifetime, while roleplays which people only spend a minute thinking about at best seem to suddenly gain immortality.

Still hyped for that Sci-fi RP™(WIP) though.

    fuel on the fire..

The Sci-fi RP [Title WIP] is currently shaping up to be one of the most amazing things I have ever been part of. Once it is up and running everyone will be allowed to join, and I hope many of you do, this thing is huge! (Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace!)

There's obviously a lot going into this, and a lot more still to go, so I hope people can be patient. Hopefully by the time it is done it has something for everyone. Hopefully i'll be back with more info soon, just gotta speak to my talented associates, just letting people know that this is a thing.

Well I'm certainly already very excited for it. I can't wait to see what's been made ^_^

Tetra scratched her head, before staring back into the mess of opened scrolls which were laid out in front of her. Most of them held relatively little information, and it was expected. Documentation of conditions and diseases related to the human brain were uncommon, due to the difficulties of comprehending the complex reactions which occurred deep within the brain. There was no real cure for these kind of things. Only speculated and inconclusive treatments exist, most of which don't work effectively for most people.

"You must have some form of retrograde amnesia then, most likely due to trauma. Most forms of amnesia eventually dissipate over time... but I'm not so sure..." She had attempted to make the best diagnosis she could from what knowledge was available to her, but it most definitely didn't help much in their current predicament. From what Eide has told her, Tetra couldn't make out much. The rich did often wear jewelry, but that piece of information was too vague to be of any real use. She rested her hand upon her mouth once again, steadying herself in the stone chair she was currently sitting on.

"Well then, I assume no one else has made any effort to show that they knew you? Where do you live then?", finding herself slightly curious, Tetra once again asked to learn more about Eide.

((I'm still here, but as Cloak has pointed out, the setting you've provided most likely made it so that most people like me simply fade into the background as they wait for a post from someone(some forget and lose interest, but some just wait quietly(like me)). As more people seemingly disappear, the thinking that the RP has died spreads like wildfire. Eventually, this mentality got to almost everyone. Morale is lowered, and more people are convinced the RP is dead. The ones who subscribed to the thread simply think 'Ah, it'll die soon. Just a few more struggling posts to keep it alive. No point in joining them.'. And yes. That way of thinking helps in killing the RP itself. This factor if considered individually is not much, but collectively, it's a huge killer.

This coupled with timing leads to a horribly fatal blow to the RP. I'm saddened that the RP has died right on it's 10th page, but I guess things just happen. As you guys have said, maybe this will make a glorious return next time(much like how this was supposed to be a great revival of 2121). But for now, a moment of silence.))

Fine. I see I can't join. I hope you have a great time.

I don't want to hold a grudge, but it seems like everyone else is. So why am I not allowed to?

Are you actually being serious? Or is this another one of your jokes? If so, it's once again, not funny.

You literally just called this place(and as such, the community) the equivalent of an area just filled with malevolent and moronic trolls who thrive on causing anguish and making people annoyed and angry for no good reason. You did it. You are the one holding the grudge against us, not the opposite, as you've somehow managed to delude yourself into believing. You cast the first stone, and then when we responded as such, went on to practically complain about how toxic we were, and how we so meanly bullied such an innocent and faultless person.

Just please follow GG's advice as stated above.

Tetra stood back slightly as Eide took a look at it, seemingly expecting some sort of huge reaction from her or accusations of 'witchcraft'. However, she seemed to just examine it in a bit of an intrigued manner, not appearing shaken in the least. Tetra was certainly a lot calmer that her only friend didn't start to go completely crazy about it, but it was a bit unusual. It was almost as if she had already seen such a thing. And as Eide went on to explain, it looks like she did. As she listened curiously, she accepted the dish from her, placing it down on the table beside her as carefully as possible.

Eide appeared quite concerned about this, and Tetra returned the look. She was actually genuinely hearing what she was saying. Stroking her chin slightly as she leaned on the table, she pondered on the subject deeply for a while. Eide had mentioned this once before too when they met, and it was certainly strange. She had never seen something like this before, at least with first hand experience. To be fair though, she has talked and met only a relatively small amount of people in her life. Tetra maintained a serious aura around her for a while, before snapping her fingers once.

"Maybe I can help. I do have some knowledge regarding memory. Follow me.", she gestured with her hand and then exited the room, walking back slightly faster into the living room. She picked up any of the scrolls that had fallen on the ground and placed them on the shelves, to reorganise them at a later time. After that, she quickly scanned through the colours of the ribbons holding the rolls of papyrus, opening up a few before taking out around one or two and placing it onto the table.

"Here it is...", Tetra said as she slowly untied one of the ribbons, revealing a lot more scrolls inside the roll itself. They were scanned through and put away with a surprisingly high speed, Tetra already having a natural affinity for reading and memorising in general. A few documents were immediately concluded to be unrelated, such as those titled 'Aphasia'. Others such as 'Amnesia', 'False Memory', 'Memory Erasure', and 'Repressed Memory' have been laid out clearly though. Tetra seemed to stare into them intently, before deciding to voice her opinion as she read on.

"Hmm... losing your memory... You most definitely could have some form of retrograde amnesia, where one has lost all memory from beyond a certain date. After all, you did say that your head got affected by some trauma a while back. But it gets complicated when you say that you also have memories that... aren't yours... Perhaps a combination of that and severe false memory? Either that, or it could just be something related to magic...", she slowly covered her mouth with her left hand as she ran through all the information available to her. It was here when some sort of epiphany had activated in her head. One's name... Deciding to ask a few more questions first, she then went on.

"Eide, can you tell me as much as you can about the memories you have, whether or not actually yours? Also... do you remember opening a box or container of some sort? Maybe even getting shrouded in darkness and being asked strange questions?", the questions were asked in a somewhat solemn manner, with Tetra's left elbow now placed on the table to rest itself.

I'm suddenly very intrigued by the idea of the sci-fi RP. Very unlike what I've seen on the forums so far(according to my memory anyways).
You've been added into the PM discussion Mafia(permission to break in granted). Have fun.

I don't know if I'd be much help in terms of assisting on it though. Either ways, still looking forward to it.

Nice for you to do a follow up, and you're right. My hypothesis was that the more creative the RP, the more likely it was to be made by a good writer. That and if its an RP with a good idea but poorly executed, I could then try and help it grow into something good.

I do herald the end of the High School RPs superpowered or sans, I'm aware there is a sizable group of high-schoolers on the forums but come on guys, think outside the box.

Well, it's certainly true. Creative RPs most often come from more experienced writers, and thus, a good writer.
It does look like high school RPs are actually at death's door though. At least here anyways. I guess the trend is over. And in all honesty, I think all of us here already have enough of 'high school' in our lives.
