    Well, I just confirmed that I had the latest Java update, restarted my PC, redownloaded every file into a separate folder and got it to work.

    Figures I fix the issue when I decide to be unscientific about it. >.<!

    Now it's going to bug me for days, wondering what exactly was causing the problem.

    Thanks to those who helped, and sorry for needing it in the first place. lol

    In all seriousness, hopefully it isn't an underlying issue with my PC, though that seems unlikely. I've been playing BTW and Buildcraft separately for a long time, but something about BTB doesn't seem to like it.

    WinRAR. I've used it to install mods literally dozens of times, so I'd be quite surprised if it was the issue.

    To cover the obvious:

    Yes, I have deleted META-INF
    Yes, I began with a clean install
    I have tried redownloading all of the related files
    Modloader, ModloaderMP, BTW and BTB were placed in the minecraft.jar (MINECRAFT-JAR folder files only for BTW and BTB)
    Buildcraft zips were placed (unextracted) in the mods folder
    Minecraft was running after installing BTW, but failed after installing Buildcraft and BTB. (I also tried not opening minecraft until all files were placed, on the off chance that this would help. It did not.)

    Install order:
    Modloader
    ModloaderMP
    BTW
    Buildcraft packages
    BTB (I have also tried to place installing BTB before Buildcraft, which, unsurprisingly, did not help.)

    Additional info:
    I made a point to make sure that my folders were properly merging, rather than overwriting, even though this was reported as a Mac issue. All seems to be working as expected.
    Using WinRAR
    Although it appears as 1.0.0, I made sure that ModloaderMP was in fact the 1.1 version, and I'm pretty sure it was just labeled incorrectly.


    I searched the thread, and I'm pretty sure that this error has been reported before, but I couldn't find any specific answers for the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello all, just uploading a video of something I built on the server to practice RedPower.


    I forgot to mention a couple things. For one, pressing the submit button resets the Counters afterward, so there's no need to do that manually. But, more importantly, the design has a major flaw; aside from the RS Latch connected the the Blue block, every other input can simply be spammed to it's maximum (and correct) state. I already know how to fix this so that it rolls over, but I didn't feel the need to tear up a large amount of wiring to make room. Will fix it if I build it again.

    As I said in the video, I'll probably make a "RedPower 101" type video, but I'm still a novice redstone user in general, and obviously completely new to RedPower, so I want to play around for a day or two more before I do that.

    No worries, I'd just have them sitting on the side of it, so it should be fine if they're completely free standing (I think...)

    Honestly, no exact plans other than hiding piston doors behind panels, rather than full blocks. But I'm sure there's going to be many uses that a redstone RedPower novice like myself hasn't thought of yet. :wink.gif:

    Just spent a bit of time messing around. Nothing special, just a 6 lever combination lock that requires you to hit an "Enter" button to input the password, which opens up the piston door for 10 seconds. Could have made it much smaller, but I was setting it up so that the circuits could be placed far away with a bundle wire.





    Next up is a button based one (already made one, but it didn't have a reset button, so it would have been a little silly to use) that causes the "Enter" button to open the door, but then reset the buttons afterward. Not hard to do, but I've just been messing around and haven't taken the time to make it.

    Aside from that, I'm amazed at how intuitive RedPower feels. The color coded natures makes everything just click in your head, and allows you to glance at the system and know exactly what's happening. Above all else, that is by far the biggest plus for me, and makes this mod an easy 5/5.

    I plan to do a video explaining all the basics of the mod, especially going into how intuitive it is. I'll make sure to post it when it's up.

    Also, can't wait for freestanding panels and wall mounted circuits. They're going to change how I set up my wiring a great deal (in a good way).

    It's mainly because woman are actively discouraged from picking up computer sciences. I was actually listening to an interview with a woman in the computer field who's own daughter was told not to try computer sciences by her guidance councilor because it was, "All numbers and math."

    Your coding skills are truly something to be admired, Eloraam. Not to mention the mind boggling amount of dedication you've had with this project. I'm curious, what kind of work schedule allows you to spend so much time modding? /random curiosity

    Anyway, I've actually been on the brink of making a Let's Play for a while, but I've made myself wait until you release your new mod, simply because it's amazing and deserves the advertisement.

    Glad you like the pipe idea, since that's probably my most desired block.

    But yeah, I haven't had much time to fool around with all of the circuits unfortunately, so that was pretty much the first design I came up with for it.

    Thanks for the design though, it's actually going to help a lot with compacting my automated factory design (I'll probably post a video when I'm done.) For the most part, I like to try to design my own systems rather than looking for a how to, since I find it satisfying to make it from scratch, though I am by no means an expert, so there's usually a better way to go about it. Like I said, I need to experiment with the circuits.

    Once again, thanks again for all your mods, and I can't wait to see your upcoming one.

    I'm wondering if you think you'll be able to update Redstone Pipes for multiplayer for 1.7. I ask because I find them very useful, but try not to use mods that I cannot use in multiplayer (a friend and I play on a personal world quite frequently.)

    Also, if you're taking suggestions for Pipes, I'd like to recommend one that would compact my sorting system quite a bit:



    I'm sure you can get the basic idea; the system uses the Latch and two redstone pipes to automatically sort items by stack, so I can drop in eight stacks of different materials and have them always end up in eight different Furnaces. What I'd like is an alternate to the Iron Pipe, which would automatically (and systematically) change it's direction when an item passes through. My current system is limited in both size and amount of toggled states available, so simplifying it to a single block would help immensely.

    Many thanks for Integrated Circuits, by the way. They make multiplayer redstone a lot less of a head ache.

    I'd say that I'm neutral to a map change, though it doesn't really matter, since there's no way we'd be able to get a proper vote or anything going. I only have about a chest full of really valuable materials, so it's not like that'll take days upon days to replace, but it'll kinda suck to fracture all of the towns that have started.

    But yeah, if a new map has to happen, then it happens.

    Is the MC Town still exclusive? I asked in game but it's hard to hold a conversation there. I had this silly idea of running off into the wilderness, so I have amassed a large stockpile of materials, but find myself somewhat bored without the company.

    Server is currently having a restart, so I can't post pics, but I can assure that I'll be a productive member.
