Is it just me or does the neon industrial furnance not consume the inputs?

Using the current version (the one with the research-bugfix).

It is possible, but it is a bit tricky to get the monocart. And a question out of curiosity, if you already found the research file why do you change it instead of looking what the monocart research needs ?

    Because:

I was stuck - I researched everything possible (all research left required laser-stuff I was unable to craft or research).
There was no way to advance further - even i KNOW there is more (like tyros) and I visited tyros in past playthroughs.
Seems the monocart requires electro-magnets (which I have, but monocarts was not unlocked?).
Maybe it is a bug - maybe I did something wrong somewhere ; who knows...

I found a "gamestopping" bug (pretty sure it is a bug?) in the research.json with the current futurepack-version (26.3.48).

After researching "drones" the dronestation-research/item is never being unlocked and uncraftable.

In fact it seems the whole drone-Tree is invisible (?)

Its impossible to continue to research laser or to ever reach tyros.

in research.json the line 2179 needs to be changed from

    "parents":["drones","space.drone.monocart"],

    to

    "parents":["drones"],

Did that (and deleted the META-INF Folder in the jar) and that seems to unlock the dronestation correctly and I can progress further.

Just in case anyone else encounters this issue ;)

Yeah this is indeed a bug, and it it strange why you have to insert an item wich nothing...

seems like the researcher is waiting for a non-existing item "glasss_bottle" (which doesnt have an icon)?

Well... Changing it to "glass_bottle" fixed the issue and the research can finally be completed.

Was wondering if we could get a list of Colored Metal block vs biome. I really like the look of the black machines so i want to know were to hunt down a large supply of black metal.

I think you can use that paint/airbrush-item (read the description in the scanner->tech-Tree) to color all the metalblocks yourself (the ones you can craft).
So there should be no need to hunt/search these blocks of any color.

It IS a bug - found it.

In "research.json" the recipe contains "glasss_bottle" (note the 3 s which is 100% wrong).

    Changed it to "glass_bottle" (2 "s").

no I was wrong red means it is the wrong item. So you have not enough items or a completly wrong item.

in the last slot it needs 2 glass bottles.

??? The tooltip and the researcher doesnt tell me to use glass bottles in that research.
The researcher tells me to insert 1 logic chipset, 2 quantium ingots and 1 emerald.
The last slot is just empty with no icon and no digit and nothing.
At least not in the english version of the 1.10.2-mod (havent tried the german version).

    EDIT:

Looked into the code. Research.json indeed contains 2 glass bottles for that research.

But the blueprint-tooltip and the researcher does NOT tell or accept them.

This really smells like "bug" ;)

I will try to edit the json and remove the glass-bottles ; and see what happens...

Then you have not enough XP in your T3 modul, have you checked if it is realy connected ?

I have 1500 XP (max) in a T3 module (directly next to the researcher).
The blueprint says it requires 150XP.
So yeah - I have enough XP ;)
Also every other research so far worked (including those using XP).
Shouldnt the research begin *even* if I would not have enough XP stored?
I swear that happened to me before on accident (on another research) and it continued after inserting some XP.

I *really* suggest you try that particular research in the 1.10.2-version of the game for yourself because I guess that IS indeed a bug somehow....
In the meanwhile I have no other choice than to cheat that particular research into the game (shame on me, but I really want to reach tyros).

In the new version for MC 1.10.2 (v.24.2.133) the research for the "Ultimate chipset" seems to be broken?

I have the plan/blueprint and all the stated items(+XP,Support and NE) the researcher tells me to insert.

But the researcher wont start after inserting the correct items.

The last field (the empty one on the right) turns red and nothing happens.

    Anyone else has that problem?

Meanwhile I cheated in the needed "correct" flash drive (the "improved" one made with obsidian was needed by the research).

I am still unable to research or produce that drive - so maybe the research-recipe is just wrong at this time or I missed some important research before that...

    First : Very nice+unique mod ; i like it.

    BUT I am stuck with 2 non-working researchs :(

I am unable to research the penton-Core/RAM-stuff.

I have enough NE and SP and all the required ressources.

But it wont accept the empty flashdrive and will not start the research.

Strange : If I put the flashdrive FIRST in, the box will turn green (accepted), but putting the last ressource in makes this box red and nothing happens.

Tried a new crafted "empty" one, a full one (128 SP) and a 0/128 one - nothing works.

Also the icon shows a "grey"(?) flashdrive - while I can only craft a yellow one at that point(?)

Am I doing something wrong or is that a bug?

    BTW:

    1
All those "toasted"-components from tech-dungeon wardrobes are totally useless?

No way to repair them or recycle them or anything?

    2

You should consider removing the "randomness" in chip/RAM-production and make them with fixed stats according to their tier.

Its annoying to have to wait for the RNG to give me a "good" product and waste ressources while doing the "RNG-game".

Yes - I can use SP, but its still sort of random which is never good in crafting.

Another positive effect then : You could make chips+ram stackable...

    (1)

Configurable energy-consumption is the way to go in my opinion.

Easy to configure and should also be easier to implement I hope.

Energy is NOT a real problem - it just feels somewhat OP right now to transform stone-bricks (or wood or whatever) into a usefull

amount of other materials for 40RF/t (compare that to the 20000 RF/t of those MRF-laser-thing).

    (2)

A scalar would be awesome , so everyone can configure it the way he/she likes the most.

Great mod - just some small suggestions:

    1

It would be very good if the configfile would allow to configure energy-usage of the recycler.

40 RF/t is too low (in my opinion) for what it can produce.

    2

An option to set it to some kind of "hard"-Mode would also be nice.

Hard-mode could lower (for example 50% lower) all chances during extraction of scrap/scrapboxes.

So one scrapbox would produce 50% of what it produces now - aka "hard mode" ;)

    @Aislin_Avari:

Had the same issue. Crafting a new phaser (or cheat a new one in and throw the old in lava) solved it for me.

Old phaser was "stuck/broken" somehow - like yours.

The Hotfix (on Curse) seems to fix the crashes. So far - so good.

BUT it seems the whole section "Machine options" is gone (not being created in new configfile) or ignored (in old configfile).

So I can no longer configure energy-usage and replication-Speed and other important settings? :(
