A guy misspelled intelligent when he was trying to describe himself as the latter. That, my friend, is the definition of irony.

posted a message on Villages- Make villagers more interactive, Improve village structures, and rarely generate larger "kingdom" villages

Ever since villages first came out, I found them very interesting. Villages revealed that the player was not alone as the only human in the entire world, but instead there are other "humans" out there. I, however, was somewhat disappointed in their lack of interaction, among other human characteristics. Villager trading, popularity, and breeding have somewhat made the interaction better, but it is still lacking.

Perhaps mojang should add in a larger, more rare version of a village- some sort of kingdom, complete with walls, a castle, more buildings, and a special "king" villager with unique interactions, such as undertaking in a favor for them. This would indeed improve such interaction, as well as realism of the villages. Improvements to structuring of villages could be made as well. Some sort of government building-a Town Hall, for example- could be added, complete with of village leader of some sort, would improve villages. Also, replacing the double stone slab in the blacksmith with an anvil, making mobs spawn in butcher's yard, adding more torches to prevent mobs spawning in houses, and adding doors to blacksmiths and small houses would all be viable improvements.

Changing villager models to resemble that of the player, as well as removing their "squidward" nose would be better, for the villagers would have more human qualities, further increasing realism within villages.

    -------

Anvils are pretty valuable, so having them in villages may not be such a good idea after all. I never considered the space taken up by a larger kingdom sort of village. Villages are one of the very few generating structures that generate aboveground, so upsizing them would come with consequences.

My previous mentions of realism revolved around making villages structured to seem as if they are their own independent population, with different villagers doing different jobs. This is already seen with Vanilla Minecraft's feature of villager professions, and trades representative of this. Interestingly, on the wiki page for village structures, it says "Farms often seem to spawn in clustered areas near many small huts, possibly suggesting the poorer villagers who reside in the huts work on the farms." Expanding on similar concepts of structure would improve villages very much.

Unique interactions with the "king" or "mayor" may include getting an item for them, or some other favor, which would increase general popularity within a village, leading to better trades from other villagers.

I'm still unsure about villager models. Minecraft isn't exactly a hyper-realistic game, nor is it any sort of RPG with the villagers.

posted a message on Refactoring the Player Skin for added detail (ALMOST IMPLEMENTED)
I think Mojang should release an auto-converter tool, so that not only will it solve the old skin problem, but it will also save millions of people lots of time and effort on their part.
