I looked on the front page.
I just did so again, what exactly is the name of the thread?

I'm not "suggesting a sequel". I'm exploring a game concept and recognizing that the concept, since it would obviously require the game to be rebuilt from the ground up, could not be added in this game. The only way that it COULD be added would be in a sequel.
This thread is not "I like minecraft, there should be a sequel". You are a moron for not recognizing that when I have again and again focused on the aspect of having smaller blocks altogether.
Lets sit here for a moment and imagine that this thread was made without me mentioning it being someting to be used in a potential sequel:
EVERYONE WOULD SAY "NO, the game is too far in development and this would require a complete overhaul of the code"
I mentioned a sequel to try to get morons like you, who are incapable of looking at an idea as a concept past it's initial titular description, to look at it as a game concept as a whole. But no, you are too dense and your brain stops functioning at the very utterance of the word "sequel".
Well this has been suggested in much greater detail... so your the moron for not searching.

Good god that's so stupid. I don't even know how to respond to something so stupid. "Don't post suggestions for a sequel JUST BECAUSE there's not a sequel in the works yet?"
What's stupid is suggesting a sequel when THIS GAME ISN'T EVEN DONE YET.

Quote from Nazzer »I DID say that:
adding smaller blocks that you can manually craft DOES NOT CHANGE the size of the blocks that the terrain generates by itself.
I smell a liar. Or a fool. Probably the latter.
Quote from yoshi9048 »He could've just said that; if that's the case he's going to run into a lot of opposition.
You really don't understand the difference between changing minecraft's block size and adding CRAFTABLE SMALLER BLOCKS. What in your brain is broken?
Think for a moment about that: adding smaller blocks that you can manually craft DOES NOT CHANGE the size of the blocks that the terrain generates by itself. Are you STILL not understanding the difference, or do I actually have to draw an MSPaint picture for you?
Quote from Zaibach »I think the MC engine could use a few overhauls and 1/8th blocks amongst other things is probably the direction it should head towards. The only reason they wouldn't be naturally occurring with the 1/8th blocks as they stand now is the whole game would need to be re-optimized (which might be a good thing anyhow)
Seriously tho Minecraft 2?
Minecraft hasn't even officially hit "live" yet and your already planning its funeral?
I think Minecraft is one of those games that will continue to evolve rather than simply getting a sequel.
Quote from yoshi9048 »Which does the EXACT SAME THING. I mean, really now.
Quote from Deltavor »Why make a whole new game, in which the only significant difference between the new game and the old game is the fact that the blocks are smaller?
Quote from hunterroge »Eh I think item retreival would be more suited for a boomer rang.
I was kinda tired when I posted this so yeah not all the details are there.
As for hitting mob it would bounce off at an appropriate angle if hadn't bounced already. This would allow for hitting two targets at once. I feel that for the most part that striking any surface would reduce the durability of the discus the same expect for maybe when hitting dirt. Two durability for bouncing off a hard surface (IE stone, wood, sandstone) one durability for hitting a mob getting stuck in dirt, sand etc.
As I do think if it hasn't bounced already then it could trigger a lever or button. I would say no to the pressure plates.
