    I'm using this mod with ExtraBiomesXL and I was wondering if there was a way to tweak where the mobs spawn, as I'm getting aquatic creatures spawning on dry land. The poor blocky creatures just flop around until they die.

    It looks like it's actually optifine that is the problem. Everything is working swimmingly until I add that to my jar. Sigh...

    UPDATE: This problem is fixed by switching from Optifine Light to Optifine HD. There is still hope!

    I've likely done something dumb and messed up the entire install, as I'm having issues. Does anyone have an idea what might be causing me to be having this?



    I'm currently using Minecraft 1.4.2, with the following mods:
    - Forge 6.0.1.355
    - GUI Api 0.14.8
    - CustomMobSpawner 1.7.1
    - Mo'Creatures v4.1.3
    - ExtrabiomesXL-universal-3.3.0
    - OptiFine B2 Light

    These should all be compatible with Minecraft 1.4.2, but perhaps not with each other. How can I fix this?

    You can disable ogres and reduce their x-ray vision. They can see you from 12 blocks away as default, which is hell for me and my underground bunker. In game just go to Global Mod Settings and select the Mo' Creatures Mod. From there you can customize just about any creature possible.

    Is the horse tamed? I remember seeing some people complain about this before, but they usually forget to actually tame the horse.

    I've finally caved and decided to try WorldEdit on my creative builds, as it would be a great timesaver, but I see there is still a lot of updating to do. I imagine this 1.3 merging of SP and SMP has made it a bit difficult, but I know little about coding. Good luck!

    Correct me if I'm mistaken, but it seems a stable version of Forge for 1.3 was just released yesterday. Judging by how long it took, most mods will require a long and major rewrite to match the new universal Minecraft version (as SP and SMP are now one and the same). Be patient guys! If you really need to get your Mo' Creatures fix, downgrade your client to 1.2.5. I have included a 1.2.5 jar below, which was posted by Mojang.

    Well your problem might be Modloader. You don't need to install Modloader if you have Minecraft Forge because it is already built into Forge.

    If you're sure that GUI and Forge Loader are working, maybe you didn't put the custom spawner and mo creatures in the right place? You don't put those two files in your jar, you need to make sure you put the .zip files in the Mods folder. If there is no Mods folder, you need to make one. Did you do that?

    Just because something looks like it should be able to be enchanted, doesn't mean it will be. I don't know much about Java, but I would guess that enchanting doesn't work because the weapons haven't been given the ability to be enchanted.

    What we don't know is whether that's because DrZhark doesn't want them to be enchanted or because it's a low priority fix. Hopefully we find out soon, but I have not seen DrZhark reply to any posts recently. They are probably busy taking care of other things.

    You don't tame them. If you kill a zombie horse it has a chance of dropping an undead heart. You use that heart to craft a potion of sorts to transform one of your horses into a skeleton horse. Check the OP for the recipe.

    Ghost horses have a chance to be spawned when you kill one of your tamed special horses. I think it was a 25% chance. I only have one special horse, so I'm afraid to test it myself.

    Zebras will always run from you unless you are riding another horse that is black and white. The tier four cow horse is good for taming your first zebra. While riding one the zebra will accept your apple.

    Mo Creatures 3.7.1 is currently only compatible with Minecraft 1.2.5, so it won't work on Minecraft 1.3.1. Just wait for the updated version of Mo Creatures to be released, once that new version is installed it will work on Minecraft 1.3.1.
