Heya Nate. Wanted to congratulate you on the map, it was pretty fun and silly...but few complaints.
LootChests: What they do? I never got anything from it.
Income: You can break the game by setting this to about.....100% and keep going upwards. Yesterday I got it upwards of 2000% income and it was ridiculous. Can you set a cap?
Coliseum: Slightly lower the reward from beating the arena by like....idk, 500? Its too easy to only work on the coliseum and ignore the other maps entirely.
Thanks for making this map though!
Thanks for the feedback.
The loot chests give you gold and other items when you open them (right click).
I was going to make the income upgrade cost more the more you buy it, but a bug in Minecraft prevented me from doing this. I want to keep it as an infinite upgrade, but I might increase the base cost of it.
I think I need to reduce the reward for all the later dungeons. It just seems like you get too much gold too fast later on in the game.
Choose a powerful class to fight against waves of dangerous enemies. Gain gold from defeating arenas. Use gold to buy upgrades and unlocks.

So, um, what happened to 1k Boss Battles? As in, this map?
Sorry about that. With the 1.9 update it kinda broke a lot of the map. So I decided to start working on a different map instead. I should have announced that in a video, but I didn't. Hopefully I can get my personal life in order so that I can get back to making content that you will enjoy.
Unbelievable. I remember there used to be mods that tried to replicate Zelda-like dungeon experiences, with the keys and whatnot, but I've never seen it done in vanilla. The best part is how, even when I did encounter bugs, you were always one step ahead of me with the debug book.
Probably one of the most flawless minecraft experiences I've ever had. You did a fantastic job. I can only critique one thing, and it's pretty minor:
The recycle bins might need a minor nerf since I can buy 16 arrows, put them in the recycle bin, and get more than 15 gold back most of the time. Then again, you have those spawners that are a more effective gold/xp farm, so it's not game breaking or anything.
I look forward to playing your other maps! Maybe in 1.9 with the addition of random loot chests, moddable armor values and weapon speeds, you can add even more crazy diversity to this sort of gameplay.
Thank you very much. I tried really hard to make sure everything worked well. So I am glad you enjoyed it.
I thought I made the arrows more expensive so that you couldn't make money buying arrows. Oh well, I guess I missed that one.
I do have big plans for 1.9. The loot tables are going to come in handy for a randomized dungeon crawler. Plus the extra attribute modifiers will help me make more unique items. I hope I can continue to make maps that you will enjoy.
Is the map updated for 1.9? If not, are you going to update it?
No, the map is not updated for 1.9. I don't think I will update it. 1.9 changed a lot of the commands. It would be too much work to change all the signs, all the summon commands, and the attack speeds. I would basically have to recreate the map entirely. So instead I am focusing on making new and better maps.
This map is a template for your maps. Use it for any map that you make. It is designed to make the process of map making easier. It takes care of many of the basic things that maps would have.
▶Features◀
Spawn control - set up scores for players when they first log into the map.

Gamerule toggles - toggle all of the gamerules in the game.

Fancy colored name - The map name is colored, adding a level of coolness to your map.

▶Important Information◀
If you use this template in a map or video, please put the following information on the map download page and/or in the description of the video:
Tried to join Jump Arena on MC Realms on 2 different PCs with 2 different accounts. It worked once on one PC, but fails every other time with the message "This realm requires a custom resource pack. Would you like to automatically download and install it to play?". Clicking on YES results in a quick failure to download. Clicking on NO of course aborts it.
Weird that it worked once on one PC but never again, and never worked on another. I downloaded the resource pack from this forum thread and didn't rename it. It has weird characters in the filename. Oh, and yes I applied it in my resource pack options. The one time it worked, I also had Chroma Hills resource pack. I have since then removed that so Jump Arena is the only one.
Console shows:
[30/1/2016 19:33:56 PM] [19:33:56] [Realms-long-running-task/ERROR]: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Parameter 'directory' is not a directory
Any idea what's wrong?
I don't know what went wrong here. You should be able to download the resource pack inside the map itself. Make sure you on playing on the correct version of Minecraft, and make sure you don't have mods installed. Other than that, I don't know how to help you.
What did I just play..? This was the best map I have EVER played. Better than Diversity 2 or The Dropper. And I have very high standards for a good map. I'll put the end stats of my character after each playthrough.
God, your map reminded me of when I used to play Hack Slash Mine. (For those that don't know, HSM was an RPG modpack for 1.2.5 available for the Technic Launcher)
Thank you very much! I had one 0 deaths playthrough but it was on easy mode. I managed to do a 2 death hard playthrough (I died to the second pit trap, and Deathlord). But that is after a lot of practice. Have a fantastic day!
Setting classes can be done in many ways. The scoreboard method is easiest, especially if you are just a beginning map maker. Item detection isn't too difficult, but it still uses a scoreboard. It is just that is sets a score based on if a player matches partial NBT data or not.
I have thought a lot about adding more depth to classes, leveling up and such. But I find that simple is often better. But I still have a lot of exploring to do. So I probably will make a few maps with class path and ranks.
I agree. I already have a map planned that uses unbreakable items. Without durability as part of the balancing, it should be easier for me to balance, and more fun for the players to play.
Elements seem like they could be in a map of their own, or have 3 classes each one with 4 element choices. Keeping it simple is better in most cases.
Thanks for all the suggestions. It gave me a lot of great ideas. Have a great day!

You should just need a 2 deep pool of water source blocks. But they might have changed a few things in 1.9.

Because one of the versions of Minecraft broke the guide. I updated it in the English version, but the Chinese version never got around to it.
