    I'm guessing aaronjlfield wanted some maps based on locations in the Comic Book/TV series "The Walking Dead". Unable to find any on the Internet, they decided to make their own and have intentions of sharing with the community.

    If I can't find my place normally, Rei's Minimap. That mod has saved me a lot of time and trouble. Just add a waypoint at your house and bam, you're good to go.

    Before I used any kinds of mods, I built towers of dirt and put torches on all sides, hopped down and moved on to the next area. :)

    Put snowmen around your house in an iron fence with an opening around their face. This lets them shoot snowballs and keeps them from running around. Dig a trench and fill it with lava around the snowmen. Zombies will never bother your doors again ;D

    Once, I set up an AFK egg farm in hardcore. When I came back, my door had been busted down. Rotten flesh had been scattered all over my floor. I didn't know zombies could break into my house at that point. Lucky for me, I had a pet wolf. He took care of 'em all. ^_^

    So I was out hunting Endermen on my new survival map and I came across this. I took a few pics when the sun rose. It's the first time I've ever come across something like this. It's completely natural, untouched and I'll provide the seed and position for you to see if you don't believe me.







    Like I said, it's the first time I've ever seen this and I've been playing since beta. It's about a kilometer or two from the starting spawn, if you're going Survival. Stock up on food. :)

    Since this is your first post, I'd like to inform you that most people on this forum have a mindset of "no pics, no clicks", which means many won't even give your suggestion a second look or even bother trying out your suggestion. I assume you're new since at this time you only have one post, so I figured I'd let you know so you can avoid posting suggestions like this in the future. :)

    If you don't know how to take screenshots, you can use the F2 button while in-game to take a picture. Usually, people like to see a view from above, looking down. It gives a topographic feel. Your screenshots folder is located in your ".minecraft" folder.

    You can upload your pictures to websites such as photobucket.com. I've been using that website for many years and it never fails me.

    All that aside, I find your island to be a pretty good one. I've taken a screenshot, myself, from up quite high. After letting the surrounding area fill out a bit, I could just see the shoreline of a winter biome (not shown in my screenshot). It was from pretty high altitude from where I was floating, so I sincerely doubt that it will be visible to anyone with a normal view, or normal rendering distance. Here's the screenshot, as I'm sure this will interest some.

    The seed for this map is "Hellborn" minus the quotes. I thought this might be a nice place to start out. The island has pigs and sheep, some red and brown mushrooms if you look hard enough, a lava pool on the surface, snow, ice and isn't too hard to navigate. The northern part (according to Rei's Minimap) of the island has a rather large and comfortable beach area. Near the center-tip of the island, just to the left you'll find an underwater crevasse. Inside you'll find lava, iron, and a bunch of stuff. I didn't explore it all and I wouldn't want to ruin your exploration anyway. This island is also far enough away from any other major land masses that you'll likely not be seeing it unless you leave the island and take off in boat to find it. Below you will find the pictures. Enjoy!

    Here, you can see your spawn point. You'll be facing the ocean.


    From this aerial screenshot, you can see the pigs and sheep wandering about. I had just passed over a lava pool. You can see a sliver of it at the bottom, a little to the left.


    Here is the location of the crevasse. It shouldn't be too hard to get to. Don't worry, you won't drown if you know how to ride waterfalls. :wink.gif:


    And here is a mini-map of the whole island. It's not huge, but it is a fairly big island with a lot of possibilities.

    I don't know if this has been requested before, or even thought of before. I lack any kind of modding skill, but I will take this up myself when I have the skill if no one else will. :tongue.gif:

    I've seen a request for vertical redstone dust from a long time ago and I heard someone mention that dust doesn't/shouldn't stick to a wall, so why not make a tube filled with redstone? For example, the recipe would go something like this;

    Redstone = :GP:
    Sugarcane = :|:

    :: :GP: ::
    :: :|: ::
    :: :GP: ::

    In this way, the redstone would be stuffed and held inside a chamber. The "Redstone Pipe" or "Redstone Tube" could then be used to send the signal vertically and logically. It could be about the size of a fence post. Perhaps the pipe should give off a slight glow when powered?

    Well, that's my idea anyway. Hope it perks some interest. :smile.gif:

    I've tried adding Ice Maker, but the recipe doesn't work. After using the Recipe Book, I've found it doesn't even show up as an available item to craft. Does anyone else have this problem, or am I doing something wrong?

    I cant really help you all i recommend is re-installing the texture and mod on a clean Minecraft.


    I've followed all instructions exactly for every mod. To me, it seems like the Solar Power mod is incompatible with the texture pack. Which is weird. PowerCraft works fine with basic textures and is unaffected by Sphax. It's a shame. I'd love to have the solar power mod, but I love the higher res paintings, more. ^^;

    I'd first like to apologize if this is in the wrong thread, but it's the only place where I figured it should go.

    I can run the game with Sphax Puredbcraft 128x, but only as long as I don't use the Solar Power mod. I can run the Solar Power mod, but only if I don't use the Sphax texture pack. Is there a fix for this at all? This is the error I'm getting. Please keep in mind that all the mods work (minus the ice maker. It doesn't show up in game, but doesn't cause any problems), so long as I don't apply the texture pack.

    Afraid I'm having a bit of trouble getting this mod to work. It seems that it doesn't like my texture pack. It will work fine with all my other mods, so long as I leave the texture pack alone. If I install "Sphax PureBDCraft 128x", I can load the screen, then it says "Saving Chunks" and I get a black screen.

    Does anyone else get this problem? And is there a way to solve it? I find this to be a brilliant mod and would love to use it.

    I think this is a pretty darn cool idea! The placing of the dust reminds me of the littleblocks mod. XD

    I'm looking forward to future updates. I do have a few suggestions and I hope you'll take them into consideration. :smile.gif:

    Harvest Rune: Causes all planted items, such as wheat, pumpkin, cactus, etc, within a specific radius, to grow to full maturity. If used in an area with no plants, it'll create grass/flowers to suddenly appear in the area.

    Frost Rune: Causes the current area/chunk (or specific area) to freeze. Snow will appear on the ground and water in the area will be frozen.

    Weather Rune: Causes it to rain/snow.

    Storm Rune: Causes a thunderstorm/snow with lightening (I've had that default in-game. Looks beautiful).

    Calming Rune: Stops all storms and restores the skies to a clear, calm state.

    ***I'd like to see the three above to make this weather so long as the rune is active if it were possible***

    Oak/Birch/Pine Runes: When activated, that specific tree will grow.

    Hey all, I've been comparing my friend's minecraft to my own. We both have the same texture pack, however mine is the one that doesn't load all textures. For example, in this texture pack, there are three textures for cows. He has all three textures working at the same time. I only see one color cow.

    Can someone please explain what could be wrong? We both used MCPatcher 2.2.0.
