That's generally what happens when you drain the water off of lava.

The most out of place thing I've had on a randomly generated map is a tower of dirt 10-15 blocks high (much taller than anything aroud it). The tower was only 1 block wide/long.

This sounds like an awesome project that would be a lot of fun to work on, especially seeing how I like architectural standards and symmetry. After a basic design is worked up I think the basic layout of the city would be very simple to implement albeit time consuming. The hard part is going to be filling in all of the details, but isn't it always? The different Weapons (Ruby, Emererald, ect.) should be somewhere in the map too. Although the more and more I get into the idea the more I just want to create the entire world of FFVII which is probably far too ambitious.

Having a zombie knock me back into lava and taking a ss of the area I had dug out only to have a creeper come up behind me, I hit it once it moves back yet blows up knocking me off the cliff to my death.

I don't know why anyone would want to add social networking features into a server when there're so many other, useful, features that could be added in.

I just ended up reinstalling the OS because as I said I made some modifications that screwed it up. Java is properly installed now as are my video card drivers (and updated). Runs fine now. Thanks though.

Call center type job that I do from my house. I have two monitors so my main one has minecraft running on it and the other one has the interface for the call center. Talking and mining are very easy to do simultaneously.

Ah ok, I wasn't paying attention to user names. It didn't really sound like you were directing that at me but I just figured I would address as such, my bad.

Thanks. When I was finishing up last night I figured I was almost done with the section I was working on. Almost ended up being 7-8 hours. I eventually plan on having that either go all the way across the map or get to it to the bottom, whichever comes first. It certainly helps that I have a job that enables me to play this game the entire time I work. As to Colain's response: I never claimed to be the best only that I've spent a long time on it.

I originally never planned to do this on the map. It all happened because I didn't know that when you pick a deep map the minerals all spawn further down. I probably went 10 hours of game play without finding any coal :sad.gif: Now I just dig straight to the bottom to find minerals, it's much more efficient. I only recently started getting down far enough to get iron in my staircase.

    My mine:

I've spent far far far too much time on this level. I have glass in the entrances of some of the caves I dug through because I was tried of flaming zombies and creepers dropping down from caves above me. I have some more pictures but I can only attach three and the images weren't displaying otherwise.

Maybe I just mine too much but I have found large amounts of every mineral in my huge, deep, forest map. I've accumulated 200 diamond, probably 2-3k iron, and 1-2k gold. I just mine into random caves and follow them until my mining supplies run out. I've done this 3-4 times now, it was only my last trip where I got all of the diamond and I only came back up because I felt like doing something else. I accidentally dropped 45 blocks of iron when I was dropping all of the stone I accumulated and didn't notice until much later :sad.gif:
