Jul 8, 2011I'm creating a Minecraft casino on this server I play on. I'm making a few casino games, the biggest being roulette. I'm gonna place a minecart on a circular track, made mostly of powered rails, the minecart will shoot around and then i will hit a switch which powers them all off with a delay, and the cart stops on a numbered block, such as with real roulette. People will bet on which block it will stop on. I'm thinking of making a slot machine made of 9 dispensers all with matching items in them, click a button, they all spit out one item, match em accordingly like real slots. I'm also trying to figure out a way I can reduce the game of blackjack to only 9 cards, so i can use a dispencer with items as cards. I'm gonna put a minigame, the "get the diamond machine" too. Any ideas for some casino games i can make in minecraft?Posted in: Survival Mode

A moon hole is a hole in the ground cause by an explosion/creeper? Use dirt to fill and fix.
Beds serve as spawn points. Also, change night to day?
Chop down the COMPLETE tree. I hate when people chop down two pieces and leave it. One of my worst pet peeves.

Why should I join: Love playing Minecraft but don't have a multiplayer server. Love building, especially on vanilla.

**Just wondering, can we use TNT? I like to use TNT for various reasons, but I'm extremely careful with it. Plus with the new update, there shouldn't be any accidental explosions. I mostly use it to build underground caverns to build in and the occasional cannon.
May 12, 2011Um collision physics still work. So if you make a cart go 8mps and go onto a track next to another cart on a different track, the cart will push the other, but they won't lock together and boost. So as long as you add a powered rail in front of the pressure plate or a block away, the cart will still be brought onto the rail and be boosted, I think. Besides, there are ways to make the same mechanisms with booster rails than traditional boosters.Posted in: Survival Mode

the world trade center was a terrible disater and really doesnt deserve to be made fun of. take it off.
Yeah? So was the Hindenburg. But that doesn't count because they're only germans, right?
I'm an American. I live on Long Island. My dad was 12 blocks away from the WTC. It's been 10 years. Get over it.
OT: I think the WTC would be hilarious.

I booster = 100 gold boosters
Have fun finding all that gold (if you don't cheat of course).
Simple as that.
Please read the wiki. One piece of track boosts a cart 128 blocks. Thats compact and efficient. Also, when the game is stopped and reloaded, carts maintain their momentum, I believe. Much, much better than regular boosters. There is one problem though, they don't boost you're cart unless it's already moving. This can be easily worked around though. You can place an unpowered track on a slope and have a second booster track a few blocks ahead on flat ground. Unpowered, it keeps the minecart on the slople, due to its braking ability. When powered, it releases the cart, possibly boosts it, then the other track boosts it a few blocks down.
Apr 16, 2011Found 40 diamonds in about an hour and a half, just using single branch mines at level 12. The combined efficiency of mining at level 12 and the large amount of ore in the SouthWest quadrant of the map allows this. Use debug mode to find you're coordiantes. You should to these coordinates for safe measure on any map: 500:12.666666:500.Posted in: Survival Mode
Apr 16, 2011Everybody brings a set of certain things with them when they go away from their house. When you go adventuring or mining, what do you bring?Posted in: Survival Mode
For me, I bring:
:Bench:- for obvious reasons. Crafting tools and food, etc.
- while I mine, i need to smelt some iron for pickaxes.
Bed - If I don't wanna fight monsters while I explore, I usually set up a small camp.
Arrows - for protection
Wood - used for tools, housing, etc. Only break it down into planks when neccesary.
Bones - For wolves and some bonemeal for crops.
Full set of tools- diamond sword, bow, pick, shovel, axe, fishing rod, and a diamond pimpcane (hoe).
Bucket of Water - Definitely, an essential. It's very useful for climbing up high edges when used as scaffolding, and it will save you're life, pushing away monsters or solidifying lava.
Torches - Obvious necessity.

(save added)This is great and all, like I'm amazed you made this using basic redstone mechanisms, but what's the point? You're never gonna be able to play any games on these, because it would take up such enormous space that part would probably unload. Congratulations, you made the low tech calculator thats in my shitty phone.Posted in: Redstone Discussion and Mechanisms
Apr 10, 2011None are really scary, but the ones most prone to making me jump out of my chair, are probably creepers. Their damn pathfinding causes them to hide. I hate it when I look through all my windows, out my door, and glass ceiling, then when I decide it's safe to go out, BAM I'm MIA.Posted in: Survival Mode
