I have a 32 bit OS and have never had any issues like this; it is only a problem when you try running 32 bit Java on a 64 bit OS since the OS has to emulate a 32 bit environment. Otherwise, 32 bit Java is actually slightly faster and needs less memory:
Yes, that's a problem. Never use the Java online installer, always use the offline 64 bit, as Minecraft needs 64 bit in order to access memory correctly or something like that. You can also install the 32 bit Java, but it won't effect Minecraft, but other programs on your system that do use Java and need 32 bit would be helped by having it updated.
It's also a good idea if it asks, to uninstall any old versions it finds, unless you have a specific reason to keep an old version of Java around, like for a utility that needs it, but it should really be updated to use the new Java if at all possible.
really does anyone still have a x32 computer to install x32 jre :/
Strange that the computer crashes just trying to update a video driver. That's a red flag that something strange is going on, but who knows what it could be? But with the drivers updated and no crash report since the computer just locks up, I don't know what else to tell you, aside from asking AMD in their support forums.
So.. looks like this is not going anywhere
Also I couldn't get Minecraft off amd... since i added it 1st time, it always runs on gpu (seen in task manager) even though i removed it from amd settings (also nothing in switchable graphics section)
EDIT:
Maybe it is because java online installer gave me the x32 jre??... Why doesn't it install the x64
Ill install x64 manually and see if it fixes it...
EDIT 2:
It worked... The problem was that java online installer didn't install x64 jre, but instead it installed x32 thus making compatibility problems with AMD
Oh well... I thought Windows update is taking care of AMD drivers as it takes care of Intel's (taking care badly anyway ..intel is also outdated)
because I saw yesterday that the UI of Radeon Settings has changed completely to the new one
Thanks I will update them and inform you later about the result
by the way i am not using the auto detect tool you provided because it crashes Windows always .. maybe they need to update it ..(BSOD: Thread stuck in device driver)
so my thought is right about the time that minecraft stopped working in
My thought is that probably it stopped working when i had iObit products installed on PC for the 1st time, containing Driver Booster, so they changed in drivers
so is there any way to revert or work around the issue?
btw thanks for the link to my cpu's downloads page, i never found it even with a lot of searching times probably im using wrong keywords lol
I was lost, i lost my home and everything i built, after installing this mod, i got back everything, and it helps a lot in teleporting and saving time!
This mod is fast and lite, its like that i didnt install a mod even

I have downloaded the amd amd driver offline installer
It did the same as the online tool
After clicking "Accept and install" and waiting for a couple seconds.. it crashes
BSOD: Thread stuck in device driver

Hello I have got a new laptop that has Intel i7-6500u cpu (Intel HD Graphics 520 integrated) and AMD Radeon R5 m330 GPU
When launching Minecraft for the first time it runs on the integrated graphics (it worked but a bit on the slow side)
so i checked amd settings and added minecraft so it runs on AMD gpu
Result: when entering a any level, the whole pc freezes and becomes completely unusable until I hard reset it
Question is how to run it on the gpu with no problems?
meanwhile all other games are working seamlessly on the gpu (like NFS, CoD..etc)
There are no screenshots because as I said the computer freezes

Thanks but I want to solve the problem on Windows 10. Windows 7 is really bad to replace Windows 10
btw I didn't even update from Windows 7, so downgrading isnt an option
and I have already Windows 7 installed on another partition
but again: I wanna solve the problem on Windows 10

Hi, I was playing minecraft on Windows 10 1st time then suddenly it never works with the error NullPointerException Null
I tried running on many Windows 10 builds (including stable and insider builds (ALL from Build: 10240 and +))
I tested many launchers, 1st I tested Original launcher... nothing works after that error
>> PLEASE Don't say "update graphics driver" because it changes nothing + it's up to date already
