I enjoyed this mod very much and I am sorry to hear it is not compatible with the 1.8 or above. If I may ask what is exactly broken that this mod could not move forward? Call it curiosity or whatever you may but without knowing what exactly went wrong, how can we offer a fix? anyways have a nice day there comrade and I wish you the best of luck :D

Great job on this mod Boni, I really do like the way it turned out since it's release. Will the cutlass ever be added back in? I ask because the full guard pattern can still be found in villager chests. It wasn't used for anything else and I was a tad bit curious if your adding it again or adding new toys it could be used for. Possibly Samurai sword's? I know a few websites that could give you some extra ideas for the future but I don't know if I could post those sites here. The Minecraft Forums has a tendency to bark like a wild mut on anything out of the ordinary so give me a holler sometime will you? Later gator.

posted a message on PowerCrystals' mods - MineFactoryReloaded, PowerCrystalsCore, and NetherOres updated! - MFR 2.7.9 released

If you're asking for a 1.8 update, as far as I know thanks to King Lemming's Twitter, they're avoiding it like the plague. If you're asking for 1.7 for some odd reason, do let me know so I can send you in the proper direction.

What does King Lemmings Twitter page have to do with anything? As far as the 1.7.10 goes that's been out for some time now you can find that on the COFH website. A lot of mod authors seem to be avoiding the 1.8 like it's a plague and quite frankly it's killing Minecraft. The game got popular because of mods if it wasn't for the mods it would still be sitting in the Indie Games category. A lot of people seem to forget how Minecraft got it's popularity and where all it's content came from. Maybe it's about time someone reminds them that the game revolves around modded content without it, it would die like most other games quite fast. If mod makers are throwing in the towel it would be greatly appreciated if they just sell their content to the next big mod author instead of playing ring around the rosie when it comes to updating their mods. Before I get the comment: No I do not know how to make mods all I would like is if people could pull their heads out of the clouds and start updating or sell their mod to someone else whom is willing to do the job without a fuss.

I've not run into any graphics issues in 1.8. In fact, my graphics performance increase by about 50% by switching to 1.8 and the mipmapping makes distant blocks look even better than before (I use mipmap level 2). Are you running shaders or using Optifine?

I use Optifine with all my versions unless it isn't available. As far as my mipmap levels go they are usually at 4 or turned off. I would tell you more but I am going to eat my supper right now and watch some Netflix. I'll check in with this later. See you round there comrade.

I see, well there is very little I can do for you there. I can code Java, but not well enough to mod.

Also you didn't specify this, but if you can't find the button that unlocks a slot, it's above the crafting grid, again I know you want a knew mod, but I can't help you, so ignore me if it's not helpful.

Not ignoring you there comrade, just exploring my options. Thanks for the advice.

Check out chickenbones comment in this "fix" back in January. It is insisted that this issue is as fixed as they are willing to put effort into and blame MC coding.

    Redstone Block State Crash -CLOSED

A couple of other bug reports have been put in the months that followed, about it still crashing and have been Closed as "resolved, see this post"

Per the postings, in NEI, turning off the info display for the block you are looking at 'fixes' it and therefore it is "resolved".

My previous post was vague recollection and a quick google search to verify I was in the ballpark. This has more specific info. Also see Dr. Cyano's post above yours. (2 posts up from this one)

Followed the Link and Chicken Bones says to update to the latest version of NEI. I did this and switched to the latest version of Forge. No more problems except now I got to figure out how to get rid of the black hole sun issue. The 1.8 came out with some serious malfunction problems where my sun has a huge black ring around it and the list goes on and on from various lighting issues to the world glitching out from beneath you. I am beginning to realize that the 1.8 version isn't stable for modding. Thanks for the help.

That's quite... a thing... but if you just want lots of inventory, try the existing mod InfiniteInvo, witch can help you with up to ~2.14 Billion slots unlocked by using an amount of XP set in the configs. Default 5lvls gives one more slot, meaning they do have to be worked for, unless you set cost to 0. Hope this helps!

Yeah I tried that mod before and could never quite figure out how to unlock the inventory slots. No matter how many lvls. of xp I got nothing ever unlocked. What this would do is remove the vanilla inventory completely that shows up when you press "E" and replace it with a a sidebar that opens with "Tab." If you ever played the Mindcrack FTB and press "esc" the start menu moves from left to right, with your options in a list format. Using that same format to recreate the "Vanilla Inventory" into a more user friendly format could allow for instead of stacks to carry more in quantity. This way your not digging through 50 different chests for a single item instead you could just click on the search icon and type the object your looking for then wahlah you got it. Lot's of mods out there have tried to modify the inventory, but never like this. It's organized and adding an options tab to customize the color from transparent to every color of the rainbow would surely attract attention. If I new how to make mods I would but understanding Java "I would rather go to Starbucks," than spend 4 hrs trying to understand how a string of symbols, letters and numbers makes a game work.

While playing Minecraft our inventories always end up clogged with so much stuff all in stacks of 64. What the Side Inventory Mod Request is would be if you hit "E" the vanilla inventory would not appear. Instead a sidebar would open up containing a list of all your currently held items in a list format. Within this list you could carry an infinite amount of blocks for usage.

    Example: (See Picture Image)

    ___________________________________________________________________________________________

Pressing "C" to craft would open up another side menu to the right (See Image Attachment.) This would start off as a 2 x 2 and upon creation of the "Workbench" it would increase to a 3 x 3. I got this idea from playing Fallout & Elder Scrolls Games possibly even from some TFC. If playing in hardcore mode there could be a weight limit of at least 300 lbs. with each block weighing in at approximately 0.5 lbs. How this would interact with NEI would you could still look up the recipe but it would act as an auto-craft and pull straight from your inventory. Creating something like this would eliminate the usage of chests unless playing on Hardcore Mode. Your inventory would be infinite and if you wish to place things in chests you still could. Simply selecting an item and pressing 1-9 would automatically place 1 in that hot-bar slot allowing you to continually place that same block directly from the inventory until you run out of that same block. How this would work with other mods such as "Chisel 2?" Since this mod has it's own API or interface it would work as it should but only make blocks in the amount of 64. Remember it would be an infinite inventory though the Item would display as: Data and count.

The reason I ask for this mod is because it would be very beneficial when mining, going on adventures or even for building that big castle you always dreamed of. No more running back and forth for items and if you got a lot of stuff in your inventory you could simply use the [Search...] in your inventory to find that specific item. It would automatically scroll you to that exact item without the hassle of scrolling through 50 million different block or item varieties and select it for you. When I first thought of this mod idea I new nothing about code or encoding and suffice to say I still don't. If someone out there is really good with code and could do this, I can only be thankful because I have nothing to give besides a huge thank you.

The Attachment below is a rough sketch of what I am looking for in this mod. If anyone got any ideas on how to make this happen please bounce some ideas around. As I said I ain't much on creating mods because I do not know how.

The redstone crash is a NEI issue I do believe. ... looked it up with a quick search and indeed it is a codechicken core crash, reported a few times.

NEI causing the crash?? I have never had NEI crash a game before. Possibly the only crash's I ever get are from needing to update Java or incompatible mods. Any idea if there is a patch in progress?

I tried this mod out for the 1.8 and it was rather cool. It came with a rather annoying issue that I still can't figure out. Every time you mine redstone or so much as touch it the game crash's. I don't know why this is but I ended up deleting that whole world because of it. If you know why it is crashing because of redstone ore lighting, please share with me a quick fix so that I could enjoy this mod again.

As much as I like this mod I have been getting nothing but headaches trying to get it to work with the 1.8 update. Crash after crash, after crash with no other mods installed besides the latest Forge, what now? Enough mods have been updated to create a sufficient 1.8 high tech pack but this mod I have depended on for at least a year running. Can you please do something to stop this? I haven't had any issues with this mod since it came out now a days it is driving me bonkers.
