Sorry, but the beta is not open yet. It should be up within a week if I've heard correctly, so we'll see you then! The reason for the delay is to finish up some work, and to hopefully have more players amassed, since RP is all about the RPers.

Makes sense! I do have some friends who enjoy MC roleplaying, I'll see if I can send them your way!

So, just a question. I'm not whitelisted yet, which I thought was kind of strange, given that I've been accepted and all, but then I realized that the server (since its still in closed beta) might not even be open to the public yet. So my question is, are people already allowed to get on? And if it is, I'm guessing that I just haven't been whitelisted yet. Either way, thanks!

Don't worry about it, it was my fault: I hadn't noticed that I didn't post solid timeline yet.
A timeline of the Ages can be found in Volume X on the Airtha Enjin website.

Oh, and ACCEPTED. Pretty good backstory, and it definitely shows how your character developed his listed skills and personality, and where his mindset comes from. Welcome to Airtha!

It's muchly appreciated! I look forward to playing!

((Sorry about the mess up. I've gone back and fixed it now. Hope this is better))

    IGN: NetherPig
    Age: 16
Roleplay Experience: I've played on many roleplay servers including the Land of Yalin, The Land of Olivin, The World of Morundia, Shrines of the Ancients, and the World of Terrestria
Why us: Frankly, I just can’t find a Roleplay server which feels like the server I first played on (The land of Yalin.) Everyone is either filled with unfriendly players, bad admins, or uninteresting lore. I'm hoping this will be different.
Time you can dedicate: Around one hour, every day of the week.
Explain Roleplay in your own terms: Roleplay is the action of taking on another personality for yourself. This means you're simply pretending to be another person, which means this person has weaknesses and strengths, just like everyone else, and has their own struggles. It’s like living someone else s life for a while.
In your own words define Powergaming and Metagaming and provide an example of each: Powergaming is the act of using an un-fair action in roleplaying, and not giving the other player a chance to react.

    AKA: *stabs through the throat*
Metagaming is the act of using OOC (out of character) knowledge in the actual game.
AKA: (someone told you that this other person's character did something, so when you next roleplay with them you use that information to blackmail them, even though your character has no way of knowing what the other persons character did)
Provide an RP example of an Over-Powered character in a battle/fight scenario: Joe and Jack are fighting...

"Joe whirls around, bringing his dagger towards Jack's throat. Jack quickly recognizes the attack, and ducks under the blade, thrusting his own sword towards Joe. Joe, within the blink of an eye, parries the attack with his bare hand, brings the sword around yet again, and stabs Jack in the stomach.

Name: (Try to be creative, If you have the same name as a fictional character think of a new one. The naming schemes of each of the races can be found under the race list in the OP): Aleck Scenthound
    Race: Saian
    Gender: Male
Age: (Be realistic here. The typical resident of Airtha will live up to 80 or 100 years, except Weihan, who have shorter lifespans, up to 60 years.) 27
Appearance: (Provide as much detail as possible, and of course must be within the constraints of the chosen race.) Aleck obviously spends most of his time outside. His skin, as for most Saians, is a dark brown color. Matching his skin, his hair is a dark brown as well, which may be unusual for Saians, however it matches his father’s hair, as well as his mothers. While being fairly short for Saians, he fairly well built, more like an athlete then a fighter. His face is angled sharply, with high cheekbones and a slightly pointed nose, giving him a slightly impish look. Completing his impish look, his eyes are a bright blue, showing his eyes every expression and squint.
Personality: (How does your character act? In some cases there should be a logical connection to the characters race and background, this is at your discretion and for the whitelister to judge.) Aleck is, when summed up, carefree. While others may find a situation serious, or life-threatening, he always seems to find some sort of humor in any situation. Generally, this fact can either make him lovable or incredibly irritating though generally people find him a mix of the two. As a general rule, the only thing that seems to make him lose his care-free attitude is when people need comforting or help, in which case he will quickly sober up and get to the task at hand.
Skills: (How your character gained these skills MUST be shown in your backstory or your character will not know them): Aleck is a talented huntsman, tracker, and survivor. Generally talented in the art of stealth, he always knows how to get where he needs to, no matter how much he's told not to do go there.
Backstory: (1-2 LONG Paragraphs, Be as detailed as possible, we do not mind reading 1000 words or more. WE actually prefer it as it shows you have taken the time to come up with a somewhat unique story for your character):

Aleck, from the very beginning, was devious. He wasn't brilliant, or a genius, or even simply academically smart, but when it came to anything that involved trickery or prestidigitation, you could bet he was the best man for the job. However, unlike one would expect, he didn’t use these skills for stealing, theft, crime, or any of that nonsense. From the time he was a boy, his father taught him how to use these skills in order to hunt, track, and capture the wild animals of Airtha. For quite a while, this was actually his life. He would help his father track and trap animals, they would sell them, eat them, ect. Then he would do the same thing the next day, and the next, and the next. You see, Aleck looked up to his father more than anybody else in the world. This was probably due to the fact that they had lived alone ever since his Father had injured his leg **EDIT** during a long term hunting trip, and his mother had died in child birth, but to Aleck, his father was the most incredible and brave man in the world, and he taught Aleck everything he possibly could about hunting, gathering, and survival. Then, on Aleck’s 18th year of living, his father told him something Aleck had never wanted to hear.
“It’s time for you to make your mark on the world.” He had said. “You need to go out and live your life, with other people.” Naturally, the last thing Aleck had ever wanted to do was leave his father, but unfortunately, he wasn’t given a choice. So Aleck timidly ventured out into the world, afraid of what he might find.

Quickly, however, Aleck discovered something amazing: people liked him! All he had to do was help people with their problems, and they would appreciate his work! Instantly he decided to do whatever it would take to help people, because if that’s what it would take to get people to like him, then he would certainly do it. He spent almost four years wandering throughout the world, helping people with their small problems and issues, then moving on to the next area. Then one day, he came upon a small Saian settlement still recovering from the Going Astray. Naturally, he set out to help the people, when he met an old man whom he quickly grew fond of. Like Aleck’s father, the man had an injury in his leg and could do little to help himself, so Aleck set to the task of helping the man. As the days grew into weeks, Aleck realized he didn’t want to leave the poor man, named Crispin, alone by himself. So Aleck stayed with the man, helping him with his everyday life, and eventually becoming his protector. Aleck stayed with the man 4 more years, when eventually Crispin died of old age, and Aleck could do nothing to help. Obviously crushed by his friend’s death, Aleck moved on, but never felt quite the same. He now has even more resolve to help those in need, and continues to travel about in search of those who need help, and is unwilling to settle down anywhere, as there might be someone else out in the world in need.

posted a message on =~Iriliath~= | The most unique "ROLE PLAY" server out! | Tribal theme | Greylist | 100% Custom biomes | Events | Actual RP | Mag
    IGN: NetherPig
    Age: 16
Previous RP Experience: I've been role playing for most of my life, but strictly on Minecraft roleplaying I've been on the Land of Olivin server, the Land of Yalin server, The land of Moria, breifly helped admin one or two servers, and roleplayed on several forum roleplays not on this site. (Geez, that sounded so formal. Hope you guys don't thinks I'm a stick-in-the-mud, I'm just trying to keep my app nice and tidy!)
Why do you wish to join?: For one, a friend recommended it to me because they knew I had been looking for a good server for quite a while now. Two, I really love role playing, and three, because my friend told me that it was missing some good old fashioned "villains", which I'd be happy to play, along with playing some friendly characters who are there to help start off new players. Also, I'd be happy to help in any way I can!
What can you bring to the server?: Well I just briefly touched on that above, so I'm hoping that I covered it all ready, but just to be clear, I want to be as helpful as possble, mainly with any new players.
Is English your first language?: Yes sir (or ma'am), it is!

    Name: Alekie Kel
Age: 26, but he does look rather young for his age
    Gender: Male
Appearance: He has a rather odd look about him. First off, his dark brown eyes always hold a sort of insane happiness for anything he see's around him, making him ammusing and slightly discomforting at the same time. He has a sharp, angular face and pale skin making him look even more impish then his eyes, along with a sharp nose. His hair is a dark brown and is always kept just past shoulder length and is generally either stuffed into his small hood, or is braided behind his back into a small ponytail. He's rather short for his age, and always seems to look as if he's up to something. His body, while being fairly fit, is nothing remarkable.
Personality: While he his friendly and fun loving, he generally has another motive for being so lovable. Even though he's not always loyal, or predictable, he can be always be a good friend, providing you stay on guard around him. Quite often he has a "down with the rich, long live the poor" mentality and tries to protect the "less privileged" people in the world from the "more extravgent" upper class characters, despite the fact that there isn't really a upper class in the jungle. Typically he tends to act slightly insane, and does and says things that really make no sense what so ever.
Background Story: Alekie was just a simple researcher of magic. Well, okay, that's a lie. He pretended to be a researcher so that people would come to him for help, and then he scammed them and ran off with the money. All of his life, ever since he had run away from his parents as a child, he had been a con man. However, after one particularly large scam on a widow, he realized that he had just hurt someone who had no way of protecting herself. He realized that it was people like him (or in other words: rich) that made people like her suffer. Deciding enough was enough, he chose to change his ways. Unfortunatley, he didn't stop conning people, he just decided to con the richest people he could find, and give a portion of the profit to the "less fortunate". However, when Aurelia fell, Alekie quickly realized that his time as a con was over. Making sure he would be one of the first to get into the portal, he made it into the new land: Irrilath. Here he decided he could survive better on his own and by himself, so he left the others. However, recently he has realized this was a gruesome mistake, and after a major injury to his leg, he has decided to come back to the others and try to help with the effort to survive.

    CHAOS universe: an alternate story
    Ch5 pt4

Strike stood amazed as he looked at his glowing friend. As far as he had known, nothing could change Silver back into his human form other than the metal silver, but this boy had just seemingly been able to change him using energy. Drake was now standing completely rigid with the light flowing all around him. Honesty, Strike expected to him explode, or disintegrate, or something terrible. This was not the case. Instead of dying, or causing some spectacular explosion, the light suddenly contracted, condensing itself into one, singular area: his heart. The small orb of shining light burned brightly for a moment, and then forced its way out of Silver. Exploding out, the light became a wave of pure force, knocking everyone backwards at least three feet. When Strike landed on the ground, he instantly rolled over and pushed himself up, whirling around to see Silver standing in the middle of the clearing in tattered clothes looking completely and utterly confused.
"What just... What just happened?" He asked, making a full 360 turn while attempting to discern what had transpired. Strike couldn't blame him for being confused considering the fact that there was destruction every where, two villains running off into the forest, and several people lying around on the ground.
"It's a bit complicated." He answered. "In the meantime, did your phone happen to survive?"
Frowning, Silver reached into his tattered jeans and pulled out his phone which had somehow miraculously survived.
"Good, we need to call in some backup." He informed, reaching for the phone.

James was looking as if he wanted to strangle Strike at the moment, which may have very well been the case.
"I give you one week. One week!" He ranted. "And you manage not only to, one: get in a fight with THREE villains, but also have two more encounters with ORDER, destroy a Brazilian government plane, and cause irreparable damage to a wild life preserve!" As he shouted he paced through the room, his shoes clanging against the wooden floor.
"And that's not even the worst of it!" He continued. "You managed to reveal the location of the girls! Something I nearly gave my job for in order to keep secret!"
Strike was waiting for him to calm down a bit so he could explain, but it didn't seem to be anywhere near happening.
"Do you have any idea what you've managed to do? They're going to lock the girls up!"
Strike took the chance to cut in. "Not if my plan works."
James turned on his heel and gave Strike a look which could probably kill.
"Plan? Oh, this had better be good." He stated, not attempting to hide his anger.
Swallowing, Lightning planned his words carefully. "With any luck, my plan will get CHAOS off of the girls back for good."
Narrowing his eyes, James stopped pacing. "How?" He asked simply. Taking in a deep breath, Strike continued.
"CHAOS sees the girls as a threat right? So what if we proved that they weren't, and were on our side..." He let the suggestion hang, waiting for a reaction.
"And how would we do that?" James asked, starting to calm down a bit.
    "Me and Drake-" he started.
"Silver." James cut in. "You two are back on the clock, we aren't letting you have any more vacation time. Got it?" He said.
Nodding, Strike continued. "Me and SILVER, were hunting down Alex's brother, as you know." James had already received everything he had needed to know. Once Faultline had come in and taken everybody back to CHAOS, Midas had been briefed on what had happened during their "vacation".
"Well, what you don't know, is that Silver found something big. Really big."
"What do you mean?" James questioned.
"His nose told him that below that wild life preserve, there's metal, and stone. As if there was an entire facility down there. And ORDER facility." He implied.
"Your saying that ORDER has a base down there? And how on earth did they do that?" He replied incredulously.
"I don't know. But we think that it's certainly ORDER. Shana even told us that the location was correct for one of the possible ORDER bases she knew about." He confirmed.
"If your right, then we have a chance. A chance to finally strike back at ORDER." James realized. "And get some answers as to who they are."
Strike only nodded, waiting for him to figure the rest out.
"And if we want to attack, we'll need all the help we can get, including...."
"The girls." Lightning finished. "That way we can prove their on our side, along with Shana."
James nodded. "But how do we know she's not lying about leaving CHAOS?" He asked, referring to Shana.
"Because Drake confirmed that she was telling the truth. No increased heart rate, sweat, dilated pupils-"
"Got it." Midas interrupted. "This is good. This is very good..." He gave Strike an approving look. "I'll need to draw up some plans, but this could work. Well done, now go check on your team mates." He stated, then walked over to the door and opened it, walking out.
"Your welcome." Strike muttered, leaving through the same door.

    FaultLine

Fault walked through the halls at a brisk pace. After he had saved those knuckle heads, he had been rushing around trying to make sure everything was in order. Strike may have been the leader, and Silver the supports of the team, but he was the mortar. If it wasn't for him doing all of the work behind the scenes, the entire team would probably fall apart. As he walked down the hall, he shuffled through the folder he had just received from intelligence. Sighing, he turned left and started to head over to the archive to put the mission report on the record. While he walked, he felt a small vibration in the air. Frowning, he stopped moving and tilted his head. It wasn't an ordinary vibration, like a sound in the air, but something more subtle, as if it were a sort of....energy. Within seconds, the humming increased. He knew that it wasn't something anyone else would be able to detect, only he would be able to with his abilities. Tensing up slightly, he felt the energy grow closer than ever. At the last moment, he turned around, only to see Silver run past him. The boy had gotten a new pair of clothes and was now running down the hall, attempting to get somewhere fast. Once he was out of sight, the humming stopped.
"Pup?" He muttered. Fault didn't generally spent much time around him, but Silver had never given off such a powerful energy aura before. Something wasn't right. Shaking his head, Fault continued on. He would have to keep an eye on Silver.CHAOS universe: an alternate story
    Ch6 pt1

Fault was the last to walk into the room unnoticed. Standing in the back of the room, he sized up the new team that Team 1 had managed to collect. All in all, including himself, there were ten of them. Of course, there was Strike and Silver. Next, there was himself and Obitus, and then there was Faults new third partner, Shana. Honestly, he didn't really want a new partner, but she didn't seem half bad, plus, her ability to control fire would come in handy. Then, there was the marines. Interestingly, they were possibly just as dangerous as the heroes. Not only did they have much more training, and experiences, they had their own unique abilities. Ghost, the first marine, was so coordinated he could manage to balance a grenade on his head while sprinting at top speed. On the other hand Sandman was the best sniper in the entire world. In his entire life, he had only missed two shots, both dealing with supers. However, there was still Reneigh and Veronica. Honestly, Fault wasn't sure about them. Last time they had been there, the entire place had been destroyed. Grant it, that had been Silvers fault, but Fault wasn't convinced that the girls hasn't mind controlled him somehow. And then lastly was Alex. Shaking his head, he cleared his throat. Instantly everyone turned around to see him.
"Fault!" Strike greeted him. "Just in time. Are you ready to roll?"
    Shrugging, Fault smiled slightly.
"What, go in and charge a facility probably filled with super villains? What could go wrong?" He joked. Everyone laughed nervously, with the exception of Alex and Silver. Alex wasn't laughing, mostly because he was extremely nervous about the mission ahead. Silver, on the other hand, was a little too excited.
"Pretty much everything could go wrong." He replied. "That's what makes things fun." Before Fault could reply, James Midas walked in.
"All right team, remember the plan. Let the distraction work, get in unnoticed, gather intel, set the charges, and get out of there. You'll be going in virtually blind, so keep on your toes. And please, do us all a favor and make it back." He said.
    "Wonderful pep talk." Reneigh muttered.
"We've got this Sir. Don't worry." Obitus assured him.
"I'll try not to." Mida replied, step pout through the door he had come through. "Hurry back." With this, the door shut by itself.
"All right, you heard him." Strike spoke loudly. "Let's get moving. Fault?"
Stepping forwards, Fault motioned for everyone to move back. "I won't be able to hold this for long, so everyone single file, and hurry." With this, he focused on the fault in space directly in front of him. Focusing on it, he started to will it to rupture, to split and and widen. After a moment, the fault bowed to his will and started to glow and widen. Within only a few seconds, the fault grew into a large crack in space, glowing with a strange purple/black aura.
"Go ahead." He called. Quickly, everyone filed in one by one. Once Silver entered last, he grunted as he had to try even harder to keep the portal open. For some reason, when Silver had walked in, there had been a fluctuation. Fixing the problem, he stepped in himself, allowing the portal to close behind him. He came out into the same clearing that Silver had apparently destroyed. Everyone was setting down their bags and putting on their gear. Ghost and Sandman had a typical army flack vest, with a utility belt and more weapons than Fault could count strapped to them. Alex had put on a dark cloak and strapped several knives to his belt, along with a fire arm. Strike had put on his typical "hero disguise". It was a full black Kevlar suit with lighting designs coming down the sleeves, legs, and face mask. As usual, Silver had no disguise or no gear. All three girls had received a Kevlar vest, and Reniegh had been given a firearm. Smiling, Fault held his hand to the sky and concentrated. Within seconds, he was covered in a dark purple suit of armor. The stuff was incredibly lightweight and durable, making him a dangerous foe. It had periodical black linings, and a purple frame. Maybe not low profile, but it serves its purpose: protecting him, and giving him protection and personality, something Silver didn't seem to understand. Once everyone had suited up, he nodded at Silver.
"You ready to find that entrance Pup?" He asked, inwardly chuckling.
"First, I swear if you call me that again i will kick your little teleporting butt." He threatened. "Second, I already did."
Strike frowned. "What? How?" He asked.
Silver shrugged. "Beats me. For some reason, my nose is working ten times better. It allowed me to realize that beneath that tree," he explained while pointing at a certain tree farther away in the forest. "Is fake. And there's metal beneath it." As everyone nodded, Faultline briefly wondered if the energy he was emitting was enhancing his smell, but he pushed the thought aside. It wasn't important right now.
"Okay, let's go." He said, then started to walk towards the tree. Once they had reached it, Ghost looked at Silver.
    "You ready?" He asked.
    Grinning, Silver cracked his knuckles.
"Let's do this."CHAOS universe: an alternate story
    Ch6 pt2

Stepping forward, Silver gripped the tree in a bear hug and then hefted it up. As Silver grunted, he lifted the tree straight out of the ground. As soon as the tree came out of the ground it was obvious that it was a fake. It had wires sticking out of the bottom acting as roots, and it looked sort of...plastic. Underneath the tree, a metal square, which must have been a hatch, had been hidden. Strike grabbed a handle on the hatch as Silver set the fake tree down, and started pulling in order to open it. After a small moment of pulling, Strike stepped back.
"Um, Silver, would you?" He asked.
Sighing, Silver stepped forward and grabbed the handle, but before he could open it, Alex shouted.
    "Wait!"
Everyone turned to look at him.
"I'm going to assume if someone forces their way in, it's going to trigger an alarm." He explained.
"That's kind of the point." Sandman replied. "We want a distraction, remember?"
Alex shook his head. "But wouldn't it be better if Silver looked around a bit and told us what we would be up against?"
There was a moment if silence.
"Makes sense." Strike finally stated. "But how should we open it then?"
    Smiling, Fault stepped forwards.
"Allow me, pup." He stated as he examined the hatch. As he investigated it, he detected the lock and started to concentrate. Searching through his dimension, he detected the item he was looking for. He reached into the air and summoned the tool to his hand. Instantly, a black pouch appeared in his hand. Opening it, he pulled out a small lock pick and went to work.
"I'm assuming that's a pretty complex lock, do you really think that-" Alex started to say, before being interrupted as Faut suddenly opened the hatch.
"You were saying?" Fault asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Nice." Shana commented, patting him on the shoulder. Gesturing to the hatch, Sandman looked at Silver.
"Be sure to tell us what's ahead, all right?" He said. Nodding, Silver stepped into the hatch and started to climb down.
"See you guys later." He said, and with that, he was gone. It took several minuets of stressful pacing and preparing for the battle before Silvers voice finally came through the ear piece.
"Okay guys, here's the deal." He started. "I'm currently on a balcony over looking a massive cavern. What you wanna do when you first come in is take a left. Go down the hall for a while and you should find the balcony I'm at. Once you reach it, go down the left hall. I'm going to jump off the balcony and start our distraction. Got it?"
Strike replied at the same time Sandman did.
    "Got it." The both said.
Instantly, everyone started to go down the hatch. Faultline jumped in first, and started to climb down the ladder. As he reached the bottom, he jumped the last few rungs and looked around. The only way to go was a long dark hallway, with steel walls and dim lights. Great, under ground and metal. Both had a way of prohibiting his abilities if there was to much of it. Waking forward, he heard the others land behind him. After everyone reached the bottom of the shaft, they started to jog down the hall. As they jogged, Silvers voice came over the ear piece again.
"Okay, I cleared the first room. Moving in for more destruction...." He reported.
"Silver? Is that music I hear?" Strike wondered. If Faultline listened enough, he could barley recognized the music on the other end. He could hear "Eye of The Tiger" coming from Silvers ear piece.
"Just worry about what your doing, and I'll worry about what I'm doing." Silver replied with a impish tone. Shaking his head, Strike stopped talking and started running faster. After a while, they reached the balcony Silver had mentioned. Quickly, Fault looked over it. It over looked a large room with pillars and machinery. It probably had used to be impressive, before Silver got there, that is. Everywhere, there was destruction and unconscious men.
"Geez...when he said destruction, he meant it." Shana commented.
"Well, Silver is the second best distraction there is." Strike replied.
"And what's the first best?" Veronica asked.
"Silver in wolf form." Obitus replied without hesitation. "It only takes seeing him as a wolf once to figure that out. Let's keep moving."
They saw the hallway Silver had mentioned and started to charge down the it. As the moved, Fault heard voices around the corner. Focusing, he felt his Katana appear in his hand. With no hesitation, he whirled around the corner and saw two guards. Jamming his elbow into the guards face, he slammed him on the head with the butt of his sword and watched the incapacitated man slump to the ground. Strike jumped forward and blasted the second man into the ground. With no hesitation they kept on running.
"Who were they?" Reneigh called, out of breath.
"ORDER recruits. Low life's who had no where else to turn." Sandman replied. After a moment, they reached a room with several different doors. Instantly, Strike called the shots.
"Reneigh, go with Ghost. Ver? Your with Sandman. Obitus, Fault, and Shana together. Alex? Your with me. Everyone split up! Meet back here in half an hour, and keep in touch!" With this, everyone ran off in different directions. Fault and Obitus ran for the same door with Shana following.
"Wait, we're just splitting up?" Shana asked incredulously.
"We improvise a lot." Obitus replied simply as he ran. Once they had run for a while, they ran past a door that caught Faults eye.
"Hang up guys." He called, slowing to a stop. Examining the door, he saw a small sign labeling the door as "lab 12".
"What's up?" Obitus asked with Shana coming up behind him, breathing hard.
"This room is a lab. Suppose their are computers in here?" He asked.
Nodding, Obitus understood where Fault was going.
"Probably. It's worth a shot." He replied.
"What's worth a shot?" Shana asked, attempting to catch her breath.
"Fault is pretty good with computers. Maybe he can hack into the system." Obitus explained.
"And maybe find some blueprints." Fault added, putting his hand on the door and concentrating. Within seconds the door simply disappeared, as if at it had just never been there.
"Whoa!" Shana exclaimed. "What did you do?"
Fault answered as he walked through the doorway. "Just put it in a different dimension for a bit. I'll find a use for it later."
"Nice." Shana muttered as they walked in. The room was brightly lit, with several strange looking machines and beakers laying around. Scanning the room, he saw what he was looking for. Four computers where sitting against the back wall, already booted up.
"Bingo." He muttered, and walked toward them. Logging in, he brought up a command screen up and started to type. While he was typing, he decided to check in with everyone else.
    "How's everyone doing?" He called.
"Pretty good!" Silvers voice came through. "I just managed to-"
"Sorry Silver!" Strikes voice interrupted. "Fault! We're being swarmed by villains! Get your team over here!"
Fault never took his attention away from the screen. "I'm hacking into the mainframe so I can download the blue prints. That way I can tell where you are." He explained.
"Good! Hurry and-" a large banging and crashing came from the ear piece. "Hurry!" Strike finished after a moment.
"Will do." Fault answered, then started talking to his team mates. "C'mon guys, it's time to be heroes." With this, he plugged in his flash-key into the computer and downloaded the file.
"Let's go!" He yelled as he yanked out the flash drive and ran out, the others following.

    Shana Diveras

Shana attempted to follow Fault and Obitus, running as fast as she could. Generally speaking, she was pretty fit, but compared to these guys, she wasn't much. As she followed, she tried to collect her courage. Fighting super villains should be a piece of cake, right?
"Wrong." She gasped as she continued running. Getting an idea, she raised her voice to get their attention. "Why don't we just teleport there?"
"Because being underground messes with my abilities." Fault replied.
"Unless you WANT to teleport into a wall." Obitus added.
Deciding she didn't want to be part of the secret under ground facility, she decided not to risk it. Finally, they reached a door from which Fault had determined was the correct room where Strike was. Placing his ear against the door, Fault listened closely. After a moment, he frowned.
"Nope. I don't hear anything." He stated. Shrugging Obitus stepped forward.
"Let's see then." With this, he opened the door and stepped through. Instantly, he fell to the ground with a black needle protruding from his chest.
"Get down!" Fault shouted jumping into the room and rolling. Shana gasped and stepped back, hoping to avoid any needles. With no hesitation, Fault rolled up as several people came from no where and surrounded him. Among the people she recognized Black Diamond, the ghostly figure from Town Square, Push, and the boy with sunglasses that Silver had mentioned.
"Ah, Fault. Long time no see." Push sneered.
"Hasn't been long enough." Fault replied, taking in the situation. Shana was worried. No one had seen her, but she doubted Faultline could take on them all.
"So what on earth was your plan? Barge in here and take the place down? Honestly, I'd expect you to be smarter." Push insulted, looking genuinely confused and hurt.
"Well, it hasn't seem to do much yet, I'll admit." Fault admitted, still on guard.
"I'll say. We've already taken out two of your team mates." Diamond added, gesturing to a corner of the room where Shana saw that both Strike and Alex were lying on the ground, unconscious.
"Well, clearly they did some damage too...." Fault observed. Looking over at a pile of dust in the corner, Diamond sighed.
"Yes, poor Stone Mason. It'll take him WEEKS to reform." With this he turned back to Faultline. "You, however, are not going to be so lucky."
Shana was about to rush in to help him, but Obitus suddenly reached up and grabbed her ankle.
"No." He coughed, pulling the needle from his chest and groaning in pain. "I'll heal and help him in a second. Go help Strike." He coughed.
"Are you sure?" Shana asked. After a moment if coughing, Obitus nodded. "Fault will be fine. Go"
With this, Shana looked up to see all the villains converge in Fault at once. Severely hoping Obitus was right, Shana ran towards the corner of the room to check on Strike. Reaching him, she checked his vitals. Good, just unconscious. She moved to Alex and found him in the same condition. Taking in a large breath, she stood up and turned around, ready to face her foes. She certainly didn't see what she expected. Incredibly, Push was on the ground, Sunglasses was clutching his chest as blood poured out, and Fault was fending off both Diamond and the silhouette at the same time. With incredible skill, he flipped backwards and sliced Diamond on the back with his Katana while forcing him to the ground. Slowly, the ghostly figure reached for his head. With lightning reflexes, Fault turned around and held his hands out, causing the figure to suddenly disappear in a bright flash without a trace. Shana stared in disbelief. The boy had just taken out four super heroes all by his lonesome within less than a minuet. Running forward, Fault shouted at Shana.
"Get them out of here!" He commanded. Instantly, she heeded his order. Never would she under estimate this deadly hero again.CHAOS universe: an alternate story
    Ch6 pt3

Quickly, Shana reached down to grab Strike. As soon as her hand touched his skin, it crumbled, causing Shana to frown and jump back. Both Alex and Strike had disintegrated into dust within seconds.
"Did they just...die?" She wondered incredulously.
"Nope. Just as I thought." Fault thought out loud. "Those villains were to easy to defeat. Somehow, these guys are just clones."
Shana stared at him. "Clones? How?! How would they-?"
"I don't know." Obitus answered, coming up behind them, the wound in his chest completely healed. "But I'm guessing they have a villain with powers similar to me."
"Your healed? How did you-?" Shana begun to ask another question.
"I can replicate biological matter. Makes it really easy to heal." He explained.
"Sweet." Shana complimented, deciding that asking questions was going to get her nowhere. "So what now?"
Fault shrugged. "We still need to find Strike and Alex. I don't know where they would be."
Before Shana could reply, Ghosts voice came over the earpiece.
"Guys! Everyone's in the main corridor! Hurry!" He shouted.
"On our way!" Shana replied, looking at Fault.
    "I got it. Follow me!"
They ran through the corridor at top speed, taking random twists and turns. It seemed like hours before they ran into a enormous corridor filled with the entire CHAOS team, minus Silver. Running forward, they came up next to Sandman and Shana quickly sized up the situation. It seemed that ORDER had gathered all of the heroes in the same place for a giant face off. All of the villains they knew about, plus some extras, were standing at the other end of the hall. They had roughly fifteen people, versus their ten.
"Why did they gather us all here?" Ghost wondered aloud. "Why not hit us when we were split up?"
Shouldering his rifle, Sandman took the liberty of replying. "Because its a trap. The question is, can we handle it?"
The answer came instantly. Out of nowhere, villains started appearing all around the room, doubling the entire number of villains. Shana stared in horror as the entire room filled with more ORDER operatives. Quickly, she realized that for every villain there was, an exact copy of them had just appeared.
"Hey Obitus, remember when you said that you thought they had someone who could make copies of people?" She called.
    "Yeah..." Obitus replied quietly.
"I think you were right." All of the Villains started to advance, pushing the entire team into a small circle, all of them ready for a fight. Breathing in deeply, she caught her hands on fire and prepared herself. Just before the epic battle was about to begin, a welcome voice entered the radio.
"Hel-ooo ladies and gentlemen! I'm going to assume you need my help?" Silvers voice suddenly appeared.
"Silver!" Strike hissed quietly. "We're in trouble, there are-"
"Don't worry." Silver cut in. "I'm going to give you guys a heck of a distraction, and you'll do the rest."
"Silver! What are you planning on doing?" Veronica asked, sounding like she wanted to kill the boy.
"Oh, you know what they say." He replied.
    "What?" Veronica wondered.
"You only live once!"He shouted, and suddenly the entire cavern shook. Within seconds, the entire right wall fell to reveal a giant, eight foot tall beast of pure muscle, something impressive enough to make Shana almost want to run away.
"That's a heck of a distraction all right." Strike breathed. "Let's move team!" He shouted, and charged at the nearest villain, while the giant beast charged the bulk of the group.
"What the heck is that?" Shana shouted while creating to whips made of pure flame and attacking Push. Or was it Push's double?
"It's Silver!" Fault replied. With wide eyes, Shana stole a glance at the beast.
"What?! That's....you no what. Never mind." She finished as she through Push against the wall with the whip and watched him disintegrate. Yup, that was his copy alright. Turning around, she barely dodged a black projectile coming towards her face. Looking up, she saw Diamond land in front of her.
"Ready for round two, punk?" She growled, elongating her whips.
"It's not going to go so well for you this time." Diamond replied, suddenly holding out his hands. A black smoke slowly poured out if his sleeves and started to take shape. In no time, it had formed into the shape of a black sword in each hand, and solidified.
"Nice parlor trick." Shana admitted. "Still ain't gunna help ya." She stated, her Texan accent suddenly bleeding through. Flicking her wrist, she engaged Diamond. This was gong to be a interesting fight.

    FaultLine

Fault whirled around and parried Sunglasses attack, then did a backwards handspring to avoid Push's assault. Sticking the landing with ease, he stared the two villains down as the started to circle each other.
"So, you with the glasses...you happens to have a name?" He wondered, trying to stall for time. If his plan was going to work, it was going to have to be perfectly timed.
"Tell you what." Sunglasses smirked. "If you get out of this alive, which you won't, I'll tell you."
Fault saw movement in the corner of his eyes. It was almost time.
"Oh yeah? Well, I think I'll take you up on that deal." He replied. Almost time...
"Really? Your more arrogant than I thought if you think you can beat both of us." Sunglasses stated.
"Oh, I can't. But he can." Fault smirked, pointing to his left. As Sunglasses and Push turned simultaneously turned, Sunglasses was instantly disintegrated by Silver charging forward as cutting him in half with his claws. Okay, so Sunglasses had been fake. Instantly, Push shot into the air, barley avoiding Silvers claws. However, things were simply not destined to go well for Push. With no hesitation whatsoever, Silver jumped into the air gripped Push around the waist, throwing him against the wall and knocking him unconscious immediately. Once he landed, he turned towards Faultline while baring his teeth and growling.
"Okay Ethan." He said to himself. "Don't mess this up, or you'll be in pieces."
With this encouraging thought, he ran straight towards Silver. The best thing to do for the moment was to direct Silver towards the villains. While he ran towards the beast, he concentrated on summoning a certain item from the Void while Silver simultaneously charged him. Fault suddenly flipped into the air, sailing straight over his enormous eight foot tall frame while finally managing to reach into the void and grab the item which would mean life or death for him: a plate of bacon. Twisting in mid air, he through the plate of delicious breakfast food straight towards a large group of Villains currently fighting Strike.
"Fetch!" He shouted as he landed. To his surprise, it actually worked. Completely ignoring Fault, Silver ran straight towards the bacon, and consequently, the villains.
"Fault?" Reneighs voice came over the radio. "Did you just throw a plate of bacon?!"
Fault smirked. "It's Silvers favorite food. Apparently, even in wolf form, he remembers that."
Frowning, he suddenly realized that Reneigh had no way of actually fighting.
"Reneigh? How are you doing?" He asked.
"Oh, fine. I managed to use my powers to convince some of the Villains to defend me. Sweet, huh?" She replied happily.
"Can we please keep the radio line clear?" Sandman yelled irritably.
"Sorry." Reneigh answered in a annoyed tone.
"Actually, I could use some help!" Veronica cut in. "Like, now!"
Fault scanned the room and saw Veronica being forced to the wall by both Sunglasses and Push simultaneously. Impressively, she was managing to combat them with her shield, but it was clear she was being over whelmed. Focusing, he reached yet again into the Void. He had decided that it was time for a bit more fire power, and ever since he had been supplied with weapons from CHAOS, he had just that. Quickly, he found the item he wanted and pulled it into the real world. Suddenly, he was holding a full fledged RPG.
"Veronica?" He said while aiming carefully.
    "Hurry!" She shouted.
"Reinforce that shield with everything you got. Backup is coming." With this, he fired the rocket straight towards both villains. Sunglasses turned just in time to see the rocket strike at his feet, taking both villains out. Sunglasses down, Push down for a second time.
"Hm, we might actually have a chance of winning this." Fault muttered, running to help Alex with fighting Silver.CHAOS universe: an alternate story
    Ch6 pt4

    Lightning Strike

Strike surveyed the situation. There was pretty much one word which could sum up the entire situation: chaos. It seemed as if every single person was in a struggle for life and death. For the moment, he had a small break, but he knew he had to jump back into the fray. Inhaling deeply, he charged himself with electricity. Just before he was about to jump in the battle, he saw Veronica fighting off the giant Tiger which Silver had battled only a couple days ago. She had levitated two giant chunks of the destroyed wall and was using them to club the tiger repeatedly, however she was having difficulty. Unfortunately, she hadn't had any opportunity to use her abilities in a fight, and was for lack of another word, an amateur. Calling the air to his aid, Strike up and flew towards them. As he neared them, he held out his hand and shot a bolt of electricity straight towards the tiger, striking him in the shoulder and causing him to retreat. Strike landed in front of Veronica and held his hands in front of him as a warning to the Tiger not to advance.
"How are you doing?" He asked her.
"Tired." She breathed. "Daniel, I can't keep this up for much longer."
"None of us can." He agreed. "It's time for us to get out of here."
"So what do we do?" She asked, slamming the Tiger with another rock.
"Don't worry, I have a plan." He assured her. "Alex!"
"What?" Alex replied through the earpiece.
"Get to Ghost and get the charges, then set them all around the room. Got it?" He ordered. Fortunately, he had found out that Alex had gotten one major ability from his crystal, which was speed. He could move faster than they eye could see, and was the perfect man to set up the charges.
"Got it! I just hope you have a plan to get us out of here?" He asked.
"Hopefully." Strike replied. Turning to Veronica, he gave her a concerned look.
"Can you handle yourself?" He asked.
    "Yes, go!" She yelled.
Nodding, Strike flew through the air while giving out more instructions.
"Fault! Get Silver back to human form!" He shouted.
"How?" He yelled back. "I don't have his rings!"
Strike cursed under his breath. He had forgotten only he, Midas, and Silver actually knew what neutralized Silvers powers.
"Do you have that spare ring he gave you still?"
    "Yeah?"
"Well use it!" Strike shouted, and flew towards the roof. "And get ready to teleport us out!"
Fault was clearly becoming more and more irritated with Strike. "We're under ground! I can't-"
"Leave that to me!" Strike retorted, starting to charge himself with electricity. Once he had reached his peak, which took him enough time to allow Faultline to get Silver back to human form,he directed his power at the roof.
    "Everyone duck!"
Blasting the roof, he caused the entire complex to shake. He continued pumping as much electricity as he could at the roof, refusing to stop until the intended effect came about: an enormous hole in the ceiling. His display of power was so incredible, it nearly took the entire complex down itself. All at once, the underground base started to collapse in on itself.
"The charges are set!" Alex shouted.
    "Fault!" Strike ordered.
"I'm on it!" Fault screamed, and then the entire cavern lit up with a brilliant white and purple light, blinding everyone. Everything seemed to go in slow motion. Sluggishly, he turned his head to see Push coming straight for him, vibrating with power. In the distance, he heard Fault screaming as he attempted to teleport so many people through such a large portal. Lifting his hand, he attempted go strike Push. Unfortunately, the incredible electricity display had drained Lightning of all his power. As Push came to finish him off, Strike felt the fatigue overwhelm him, and he slowly fell through the air and drifted into unconscious.

Strike didn't know what happened until he had woken up in the CHAOS base and found Veronica waiting anxiously by his bed. She told him that the entire complex had imploded, and Faultline had managed to save all their lives in the knick of time. While they had managed to destroy the base, they didn't know how many of the fake villains, or the real villains, had survived. Fortunately however, their mission had been completed, and apparently Silver had managed to get a good deal of intel from their computers. As an added bonus, the girls had even been pardoned and allowed to leave CHAOS. For once, they had managed to strike back at ORDER, and hopefully turn the tides.

    Drake

Drake jogged down the street, enjoying the fresh air. For once, he was allowed to simply enjoy himself and get his thoughts together. Currently, he was jogging through the city, dodging pedestrians and cars while managing to maintain his speed. As he ran, the sun finished setting. If there's one bad thing about living in the city, it's that no matter what time it is, people are out and about. Continuing dodging the walking people, he took a turn into a slightly less crowded street. As he ran, he heard his name called.
    "Drake!" The voice called.
Instantly, his heart jumped into his throat. He continued jogging in hopes that the voice would go away.
"Drake! Drake, wait up!" The voice said, growing closer. Cursing under his breath, Drake slowed to a stop and turned to look at the voice. The voice belonged to a girl. Unfortunately, it was Jay, a friend from school who was most likely wondering why he had suddenly vanished off the face of the earth.
"Drake! I can't believe it's you!" She said breathlessly while coming up to face him. "I haven't seen you in forever!"
Drake gave a nervous laugh and rubbed the back if his neck. He was already bad at lying, and lying to a girl who used to have a major crush on him didn't make it any easier.
"Yeah, it's been a while. Um... How did you find me?" He asked. He didn't mean to be rude, but somebody from his old life finding him was majorly bad news.
"I was just taking a jog, and I saw you! At first I didn't believe it was you, but you turned for a second and I saw your face..." She explained while smiling broadly. Drake sighed. It wasn't like Jay wasn't pretty, she had lovely brown hair and eyes, and had the best smile. And she had a great personality to, she was just... Well, she was kind of a stalker. Plus, Drake was a super hero now. That sort of complicated things.
"Well! That's cool! I was just-" he started.
"Where did you go?" She suddenly asked. "You just... Disappeared. Your family won't even talk about you, and we all thought you were-"
"Dead." Drake finished for her. It was the hardest decision he had ever made, leaving his old life. Everyone assumed he had just died, and his family refused to talk about it. He had abandoned everyone. But he had done it to protect them! Did that make it right?
Jay's eyes started to get wet. "So where did you go then? It's been eight months. Nobody just disappears like that."
Drake swallowed. "Jay, I...I can't talk about it." As much as he hated to admit it, Jay had been a fairly good friend. Even if she hadn't been that close to him, she'd always been there to help him. Simply abandoning her wasn't fair, and now he couldn't even tell her why.
"Well than at least tell me if I'll be seeing you around." She said. Everything in him wished he could tell her, tell everyone, what he was doing. Let the entire earth know. Scream to the world "I have super powers! And I'm using them to protect you!". Instead, he gave her a simple, one word answer. "No."
Her eyes were instantly filled with hurt. "No? That's it, just...no?" She asked. Nodding, Drake turned around and started to walk away. He couldn't handle it. As he walked away, he heard her whisper quietly "Fine then". Cringing, he wished he didn't have his sensitive ears for just a moment, so he wouldn't of heard that last retort. While he continued walking away and convincing himself this was for the best, he heard a small metal clinking. Whirling around, he saw two large cars flying through he air from different directions, straight towards Jay. Unfortunately, Jay was looking at the ground and had no clue her life would be ended in seconds.
"Jay, look out!" He screamed, watching in horror as he looked up and shrieked. She had no way of escape, no possible chance of survival. She was going to be crushed. With as much acceleration as he could muster, Drake shot forward with super speed and put himself in front of Jay. Extending his arms, he braced himself for impact. The two semi's crashed into his hands and buckled from the impact, folding around his arms and just barley stopping before crushing Jay. Instantly, the semi's dropped to the ground with large crash as Jay slowly looked up from putting her head in her hands.
"D-drake?" She stuttered. "Did you just-"
"Hello again, my canine friend!" A giant voice suddenly appeared. "Long time, no see!" The voice sounded insane, as if all it wanted to see happen was For Drake to die painfully. Unfortunately, Drake recognized the voice.
"Reaper?" He called out, not believing what he had heard. "That's impossible, you were locked up!"
"I had a...early release, you might say!" Reaper called, walking around the semi's and coming into view. "Oh, and look at that! You put yourself in front of two moving trucks for this girl. How sweet!"
"Drake?" Jay breathed as trembled with terror. "W-what's going on?"
"Whatever you do, stay behind me." Drake commanded, slowly standing up. "And watch your back. This is going to get ugly."CHAOS universe: an alternate story
    Ch6 pt5

Reaper gave an evil smile. "Oh, ugly doesn't even begin to describe it."
Drake cocked his eyebrow and cracked his knuckles, hoping he was giving off a confident aura.
"Oh come on, you know you don't stand a chance against me. Do yourself a favor and walk away." Drake suggested. Reaper chuckled and allowed several metal shards and objects to lift up off the ground. "Oh, I think not." He replied. Jay gasped and gripped Drakes arm.
"Drake!" She said, her voice filled with panic. "He's one if those super people that have been appearing!"
Nodding, Drake clenched his fists. "I know. And it's not Drake." He informed.
"What? What does that mean?" Jay asked incredulously.
"It's Silver." He informed, and crouched down. This wasn't going to be like other fights. Unfortunately, he would have to protect Jay while he was at it.
"All right puppy, lets get on with it." Reaper taunted, and then trust his hand forward causing every bit of metal he had collected straight towards them. As Jay screamed, he extended his arms and covered her as all of the metal shards ricocheted off his skin. After all of the metal had finished shooting, he jumped straight towards Reaper, sailing through the air at top speed. Quickly, Reaper dived out of the way and lifted one of the semi's straight into the air. Once Silver crashed into the ground and rolled up just as quickly, he turned around and got slammed by the semi, getting hidden completely from view. While shoving the truck off of him, he heard Jay scream his name.
"Oh stop worrying, I'm still alive." He muttered. Standing up, he picked of the semi and held it above his head. Currently, Reaper was enjoying himself by causing large, metal objects to whirl around Jay so that she couldn't move without being shredded to bits. Heaving the semi through the air towards Reaper, Silver shouted to get his attention.
"Hey ugly!" It really wasn't the best insult in the world, but it worked. As Reaper turned, his was slammed full force by the airborne truck and was sent flying through the air, crashing into a lamppost. Once he was down, the metal pieces stopped flying around Jay and crashed to the ground. Instead if screaming, or running, or even simply fainting in terror, she stayed exactly where she was, stared at him, and blinked.
"Your a super." She said simply. Silver couldn't really think of an appropriate reply, so he just nodded.
"Well," she gulped, showing little emotion. "That explains a bit."
Silver simply stood there awkwardly and gave a slight shrug. Just as he was about to go finish taking care of Reaper,
a large metal pole came to life, moving like a snake, and wrapped around Jays neck. Before she could even react, it lifted her into the air and completely stopped her air flow, preventing her from even making a sound.
"Jay!" Silver shouted, running towards her.
"Make one more move and I snap her neck!" Reaper screamed, stopping Silver in his tracks. Slowly, the semi lifted into the air and Reaper crawled out from under it. "You've made your last mistake, mutt!" He shouted, tightening the grip around Jay's neck and causing her to choke, making her panic and swing her legs wildly through the air.
"No! Stop!" Silver yelled, holding up his hands. The pole stopped tightening.
"See, that's the problem with you." Reaper stated with disgust. "You'll do anything to save people, even when they are worth nothing to you!" With this, the pole started tightening again. With his heart in his throat, Silver took a step closer.
    "Stop!"
Again, the metal pipe stopped constricting. "Or what? There's nothing you can do to entice me to stop." He pointed out.
"Kill me instead!" He blurted out.
"Don't insult me. We all know your un-killable." He retorted.
"That's true, but there is a way!" He shouted, talking fast. He knew Jay wouldn't last much longer. "My rings! My rings affect my power!" He explained, stumbling over his words. Again, the pole stopped constricting.
"Oh?" Reaper asked with interest. "Continue."
    "Let her breath!" Silver commanded.
    "Or what?" Reaper retorted.
"Or I go wolf." Silver threatened. Instantly, Reapers eyes were filled with fear, but he did his best to hide it.
"Well, we don't want that." The villain said, a little to quickly. With in no time, the pole had released her so she could fall to the ground, coughing and gasping for breath while trying as hard as she could not to lose consciousness. Next, the pole slithered to her feet and wrapped around her ankles, preventing her from trying to escape while extending to also wrap around her neck, not enough to restrict her breathing, but it got the message across. Don't try anything stupid.
"There." Reaper nodded. "Now tell me about those rings."
"They were dosed in a special chemical." He lied. "The chemical neutralizes my power, or in other words, can kill me."
He waited as Reaper mulled it over.
"So you would give your life for her, huh?" He asked, looking amused.
"That's what I do, right? I save people from you." He stated, his heart beating wildly.
"Yeah, but this..." Reaper chuckled. "Wouldn't you save more lives if you just let her die?"
Silver shook his head. "My teammates can save lives. At least I'll be able to save one more."
Reaper sighed. "Have it your way. Give me your ring."
Silver reached into his pocket and pulled out his ring, tossing it towards him. Jay made a gurgling sound, probably telling him not to do it or something. Gulping, Silver watched the ring levitate in the air and morph, changing into a deadly projectile. Unfortunately, his powers weren't going to help him this time. There was no way to survive, and no way out. It was either his life, or hers, and he wouldn't selfishly sacrifice someone else's life for his own.
"It's noble mutt. Stupid, but noble." Reaper complimented. "Now hold still, I want sure you don't come back."
Silver held up his hand. "If you kill her-" he started.
"I'm a villain, that doesn't mean I don't keep my promises. She is of no consequence, I'll let her go. You have my word." He promised. Nodding, Silver put his hands to his side and clenched his fists. Vaguely, he heard Jay attempt to make herself heard. Silver closed his eyes and tried to calm himself down. Maybe it would be quick, and painless. Well, at least all of his friends would know the truth now: he had died saving lives. Somehow, this gave him a sort of peace. His ears heard the projectile whistle through the air and reach him. The dart pierced his chest with ease and slipped between his ribs, striking the direct center of his heart. Gasping, he felt something in his chest shatter, and he fell to the ground in slow motion. He knew this feeling. Actually, he had felt this exact feeling the very night he had received his powers. Funny, the exact same feeling that had given him his new life, was taking his life. That's irony for you. Something wasn't right, however. There was a new feeling, a sort of warmth, filling him. Expanding, the warmth continued to fill him until he was so filled with it he could burst. And then he did. The energy left him and blew out of him, creating a shock wave of yellow energy which knocked Reaper into the air and smashed him yet again into the ever infamous semi. Blinking, Silver looked down to find his wound completely healed. Whatever that energy was, it had saved him. Realizing that Jay was still there, and Reaper wouldn't stay down for long, he ran over to her and started rip the bars in two, releasing her from her bonds.
"Drake? What did you do?" She asked incredulously.
"No time!" He said. "Are you afraid of heights?"
She stared at him. "What? Am I afraid of-?"
"Heights, yes! Are you afraid of them?" He stated urgently.
    "Yes?" She said.
"Them I'm so sorry." With this, he grabbed her around the waist and shot into the air. As she screamed, he realized that he had jumped much farther than intended. Whatever that energy was, apparently it had amplified his powers. He landed on the ground and jumped again, for some reason deciding to head towards his home. As he jumped, he felt the energy well up in him again. He couldn't risk another burst of energy like that again. He had to get home, now. Flying through the air, he made three more leaps before landing directly in front of his house. The energy was almost to much now. He was going to release.

    Drake (not SilverFang)

Drake stared at the dice in disbelief.
"There is no way." He stated incredulously. For the fifth time in a row, Reneigh had managed to role exactly what she needed. He wasn't sure how someone rigged the dice in Monopoly, but he was pretty sure she had.
"It's not impossible, I'm just a naturally lucky person!" She stated while smiling broadly. Throwing his hands into the air, he went completely limp.
"Someone's a sore loser." Shana commented. Drake shifted his head so he could look at her, then glared.
"She's using her powers, I'm sure of it." He accused.
"Oh? And do you have any proof of that?" Reneigh questioned.
"No!" He cried, staring at the roof again. "That's what makes your power so perfect! No one even knows anything is happening!" Reneigh sighed and stood up. Closing her eyes, instantly she became an exact duplicate of Drake, only with slightly exaggerated muscles.
"No one even knows anything is happening." She mimicked in his exact voice. Drakes eyes bulged as he stood up so suddenly he slammed the table with his knee, nearly tipping it over.
"That's not right, and its creepy." He said suddenly while pointing his finger in her/his face. It had actually really freaked him out seeing her as him, and he was pretty sure she had only exaggerated his arms and chest to unnerve him. Instantly, Reneigh was back to her ordinary look.
"Relax man, it's just a joke." She replied while shrugging. After a moment of slightly tense staring, Shana cleared her throat.
"Right, well mister bloodhound here just managed to flip the board, so I think the games over. Help me clean up?" Slowly, Drake turned to her.
"Uh, yeah. Yeah, let's clean up." He replied slowly. Everyone started to pick up the pieces, but there was still a large amount of tension in the room. After a while, they managed to shake their frayed nerves and get back to having fun, but Drake was still a little shaken. It was unnerving to see someone take your identity without so much as a raising a finger. The three of them had goofed around a bit and were laying around in the lounge when Drake smelled it.
"Hey, Daniel and Ver are back... Something's wrong." He noted while frowning.
    "What is it?" Shana asked.
"There's someone with them." Closing his eyes, he concentrated. "He, um...he's wearing a leather jacket. Recently walked through a flower bed. And..." Drake eyes snapped open.
"He recently fired a gun." He stated urgently.
"Really? You can tell all that by smelling someone half way across the house? Isn't that kind of... Impossible?" Shana questioned. Reneigh chimed in.
"Yeah, no one's that good." Drake only replied by glaring at them both.
"Um...right." Shana answered awkwardly. "Anything else?" She asked.
"Well, if he fired a gun, he probably still has it." He replied. Instantly, both girls jumped off the couch. Blinking, Drake cleared his throat.
"Um, you two should stay here-" he started.
"We have super powers to." Reneigh replied before he was even finished.
"Right." Drake replied and ran out if them room, the two of them following. They ran into the hall to see Daniel and Veronica standing in the hall with a boy around Daniels age in between them. The boy was an average height, with a crew cut hairstyle. His clothing was as Drake had predicted, with a leather jacket and a normal white t-shirt. His actual face was slightly round and he had a slightly pointed nose.
    "Who's this?" Drake asked cautiously.
"Guys, this is Alex. He was hired by ORDER to kill Veronica." Daniel explained. For seemingly the hundredth time that day, everyone went silence. Finally, Reneigh asked the obvious question.
"So why is he here, and not dead?" She questioned.
"Well, because he was being forced to come and get me." Veronica stated quietly. Again, there was silence. Clearing his throat, Daniel decided to explain.
"Alex here got super powers a little while after we did. Ever since, he's been a sort of "super for hire" type guy. However, the leader of ORDER, some guy called The Centurion kidnapped Alex's brother and force Alex to come after us, or he would kill his brother."
Drake made a mental note that when the Centurion was mentioned, Shana had tensed up. He would ask her about that later.
"So what are we supposed to do?" Reneigh questioned.
"We promised to help him get his brother back." Veronica stated. Without a moments hesitation, Drake clapped his hands.
"Well, that's just lovely. Why doesn't everyone get to know Alex, welcome him to the family and such? Oh, and Daniel? We need to talk. Now." He said quickly, then walked down the hall towards the kitchen. Once they reached the kitchen, Drake turned around suddenly and looked at Daniel as if he was insane.
"Are you freaking insane?" He asked him incredulously. Okay, so maybe he thought he was insane too.

Shana (who has no super hero name for the moment)

Shana watched the the two boys leave, and then let Veronica introduce Reneigh and herself to the boy. Once the introductions had been made, Shana let Reneigh start talking to him while she became lost in thought. If it was true, and this boy had been hired by The Centurion, then they were all in trouble. So much trouble that if they really did plan on saving this boys brother, they would most likely all end up dead. She had seen what this man, if he could be called that, could do firsthand. He was like nothing anyone could ever imagine, and impossibly powerful, in every extent. There was no way they would survive an encounter against him.
"And you?" The boy asked. Snapping out of her thoughts, Shana looked at him suddenly.
"Um. What?" She asked. Looking slightly irritated, the boy repeated his question.
"Are you with Veronica and Daniel?" He repeated.
"Oh. Oh, yes! I am." She answered. The boy nodded.
"This quite a large group of supers here. Doesn't it attract attention?" He questioned.
"Well, you were sent here to kill Veronica, so yeah. I'm assuming so." Reneigh replied. "I suppose that since ORDER knows we're here, we'll have to move locations..." She realized.
"Oh, no you won't!" The boy put in. "I tracked you guys here. ORDER had no clue where you were, so that's why they got me. To find you guys." He said. Shana frowned. "And if you found them, doesn't that mean ORDER will find us pretty easily too?" She questioned.
"Nope. There isn't anyone who can track better than me." He smiled proudly. Suddenly, from behind them, a new voice entered the conversation.
"I highly doubt that." Drake put in. All four whirled around to see Drake and Daniel standing in the hall.
"Oh, and why is that?" Alex challenged.
"Because Daniel says that you haven't been able to track down where they hid your brother?" He questioned. Alex shook his head.
"ORDER is just to good." He stated. As he smiled, Drake replied.
"Well I can track him down. We're going to go rescue your brother Alex."

    Ch5 pt2

Everyone crowded around Drake as he tried to concentrate. They had come to the last place Alex had seen his brother, which was at Las Vegas of all places. They had come in the middle of the day on Daniels uncles private jet. Apparently, being an ex-military general had its perks. Thankfully, Daniel actually knew how to pilot the thing. Now, they were at the back entrance of one of the many flashy casinos.
"We came out through the back," Alex explained. "And then there was a... I don't know. A sort of chill up my spine. When I looked back, Jordan was just...gone." As he finished, he attempted to hide the tears coming out of his eyes. Drake nodded, and then spread arms out.
"Okay, I need some space. Everyone take three steps back." He ordered. After everyone had complied, he closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. He started the process if picking through the smells. After a while, he opened his eyes and shook his head.
"Too many smells. I need something that he owned, something with his scent on it." Drake explained. Alex stayed still for a moment, then suddenly reached into his pocket and pulled out an old looking flip phone.
"This was his. We used it from time to time to communicate." He said as he held the phone out to Drake. Accepting it, Drake started to sniff the phone. Once he was sure he had the scent, he started to sniff the air again. Behind him, he heard Shana attempting to comfort Alex.
"Don't worry Al. If anyone can find your brother, it's Drake. He's like a bloodhound on steroids." She assured him.
"And if there's anyone who can save him, it's a bunch of misfit super heroes." Reneigh added.
"And if there is anyone who could be louder, it's certainly you guys. Sh!" Drake called back without opening his eyes. Once there was silence again, he continued to search for the scent. After a full minuet, he opened his eyes.
"I got it." He announced. Collectively, he heard a large sigh behind him.
"Thank goodness. I wasn't sure if you could." Veronica admitted.
"Thanks for the vote of confidence." He replied dryly. Lifting his head, he sniffed the air.
"Yup. Got it. Unfortunately, it carries really far, and I can't smell it in the plane. Hey, how slow can that plane go?" Drake asked. Frowning, Daniel replied.
"Why on earth do you want to know how slow it can go?"
"Because I'm gonna have to follow on foot, so try and let me keep up, all right?"

    Daniel (not Lightning Strike)

Daniel checked the dials on the plane. Altitude was good, speed looking okay... Looks good. He flipped on the auto pilot and leaned back, deciding to relax. Once he got comfortable, there was a knock on the door to the cockpit.
"Come on in!" He called. The door opened and Shana poked her head in.
"You want some company?" She asked. Daniel thought for a moment and nodded, gesturing for her to come in. Stepping inside, she closed the door behind her and slid into the co-pilots seat. Once she sat down, she leaned forwards in order to see out of the window.
"Is he gunna be okay down there?" She asked. Shrugging, Daniel looked out the window too. While he couldn't see Drake, it was obvious where he was as he was leaving a large cloud of dirt behind him wherever he ran, as if he were in a cartoon.
"I'm sure he'll be fine. It takes a ton to get the best of him." He replied. Nodding, there was a small silence.
"So how fast can he run?" She wondered. Deciding that conversation would be better than staying in the cockpit alone, he decided to indulge her.
"I don't know. The fastest we've ever seen him run was around 320 mile per hour. Not as fast as me, but still impressive." He joked. Frowning, Shana looked at him.
    "How fast can you go?"
Smiling a bit, Daniel tried to appear non chalant.
"Oh, around... Mach 5 or so?" He heard Shana nearly gag.
"Okay, I'm not one to compliment people, but that's pretty impressive." She replied. After nodding in thanks, the silence continued. Shana kept the conversation going.
"So, what's Drakes deal? I mean, I never got to ask you about it, but the guy came back to life. How on earth is that possible?" She asked.
"Well, his abilities make him nearly impossible to kill. Even if you manage to stop his heart, he's still probably not down for the count." Daniel explained. Nodding, Shana continued thinking. Because of the silence, Daniel was able to listen to the hum of the engines. The sound was almost hypnotic, so rhythmic and constant, always a small little buzz.... It was incredibly relaxing. Daniel found himself becoming drowsy, and he fell asleep for who knows how long, it could have been minuets, it could have been hours. All he knew is he suddenly woke up with Shana shaking his shoulder violently.
    "Daniel!" She yelled. "Look!"
With a start, Daniel quickly came out of his sleep. Rubbing his eyes, he looked out the window to see what was happening. At first, he didn't see anything. Just as he was about to ask Shana what the deal was, he realized it. Nothing meant that Drakes dust cloud was missing.
"What happened to Drake?" He shouted back as he started to wildly press dials and flip switches.
"I don't know! We looked over to see that Drake had stopped, and before I could come to tell you, he just suddenly disappeared!" She explained with panic in her voice. Daniels motions slowed down a bit.
"Don't worry, I'm sure he's just-" before he could continue there was a large crash, and several trees in the forest they were currently in suddenly started to topple over.
"Or not." He finished. Again, his speed picked up as he finished flipping several switches. Flipping one more switch, he turned on the PA.
"Drakes in trouble!" He informed. "We're making a landing!" As he spoke, the plane made a steep descent. While the flew downward, a large white stream of light came shooting out of the forest. Attempting to avoid it, Daniel made a sharp turn, but it was in vain. The light clipped the wing and cut it clean off.
"Never mind, forget the landing! We're going down!" Daniel shouted. The plane made a steep right turn and started to barrel roll as it fell to the ground. Making a direct course for a large clump of trees, the small jet went full speed and crashed into the trees, breaking through three of them before coming to a screeching halt. Shaking his head, Daniel slowly stood up.
"Ugh..." He moaned while trying to keep his balance. "Uncles going to kill me." Shana, who was already standing up and opening the door, replied.
"We can worry about that later."
Ramming her shoulder into the door, she forced it open and tumbled through onto the other side. Daniel came through the door and helped her up, looking around. Everyone else seemed to be perfectly un harmed.
"We-we're okay." Reneigh assured them, shaking her head, as if to clear it. "Ver made some sort of shield around us." Nodding, Daniel ran for the door. When he found it had become sealed shut, he held up his hand and shot electricity from it, completely blowing the door off its hinges. Now that it was out of the way, Daniel ran out side and looked around to find him self on a tree branch, about twenty feet off the ground.
"I'm going to go find Silver, you guys catch up when you can." Daniel ordered.
"And what at you planning on doing exactly? He's probably out there fighting villains!" Reneigh protested. Turning around and grinning, Daniel got ready to fly out.
"We're super heroes, remember? This is what we do." And with this, Strike flew out of the trees in search of his friend.

    SilverFang

Silver flew into yet another tree, cracking it and half and causing it to fall on top of him. Great, he thought, I'm tearing down trees in a wild life preserve. Standing up, he got into a ready stance and finally got a look at his two attackers. One of them was average height with blonde hair and freckles, with a simple long sleeve shirt and jeans. On his face he wore a pair of sunglasses, though a strange yellow/white light seemed to be shining out of it. The second was wearing nothing but a large, brown, gym suit, and had orange hair.
"Hello fellas'" Silver greeted them. "Don't suppose there's any way we can just talk this out?"
Chuckling, the burly orange haired boy replied. "Why, you afraid we're going to beat you to a pulp?"
    Silver shrugged. "Well, are you?"
"Yeah, pretty much." Came the reply.
"Well, then yeah, I'm afraid your going to beat me to a pulp." Silver admitted.
"Sorry, but we have our orders." The boy apologized, almost as if he was actually sorry.
"Yeah, no problem." Silver replied. So it seemed that the other boy was just going to sit there and let orange hair here do all the work. Fine with him, that just meant one less person to mess with. With as much speed as he would muster, which was a impressive amount, he threw his fist at the boy. Surprisingly, the boy acted with just as much speed and caught his fist. Widening his eyes, Silver looked at the boy.
    "You have strength." He stated.
Smirking, the orange boy started to crush Silvers fist, causing him to wince in pain. "You have no idea." With this, he grabbed Silvers arm and threw him over his head, smashing him into a tree.
Realizing that going head on was not going to work with this guy, Silver jumped up into the tree and started climbing around on the branches. As he monkeyed around, he came right over the boys head and jumped down, striking his face with a kick and sending him flying through the air. Sticking the landing, Silver grinned. "Yeah, well, I got to the gym sometimes too." He admitted. Growling, the boy stood up and cracked his knuckles.
"Well, lets see who's stronger than, eh?" He suggested, though it didn't really sound like a suggestion. He darted forward, moving almost as fast as Silver. Instinctively, Silver thrust his hand forward and barley blocked his strike. The two of them quickly started sparring like this, exchanging jabs and blows, although they both knew that one slip up could end up causing some serious damage with their strength. After a while of the tireless exchange of attacks, Silver managed to slip in a punch to his stomach. There was a moment pause, and Silver used it to uppercut his jaw and sent him into the air for the second time that day. When orange head hit the ground, sunglasses finally decide to speak up.
"Stop toying with him and just finish the job!" He shouted. As he stood up, the downed enemy growled in frustration.
"What is the point of a game of cat and mouse without actually toying with your prey?" The boy asked in a irritated tone.
"Just use your abilities and finish him off." The other boy answered with no emotion. Sighing, the boy shrugged and started stretching.
"I'm terribly sorry about this, but my partner is really impatient, so..." He said. Silver nodded and shrugged himself.
"Oh, I know the feeling. Take your time." Smiling, the boy nodded in appreciation.
"Thank you! You know, it's rare I ever find such understanding prey-" he started.
    "Get to it!" Sunglasses shouted.
"Fine! Fine, I'll get started!" He replied quickly, then leaned down and got down on one knee. Bowing his head, the orange hair on his head started to grow, covering the rest of his body. Quickly, the hair covered every inch of him, and began growing periodical black stripes, looking exactly like a tigers fur. Next, he began to grow, and bulge, his body becoming larger and his muscles almost tripling in size. Falling down onto his hands, his bone structure changed into a quadruped, allowing him to be on four legs. Before long, an incredible hybrid of human and tiger stood before Silver, baring its teeth.
    "Your...your like me." Drake realized.
"Yes, he is a mixture of Tiger and Human. All the deadliness and cunning of a feline hunter, mixed with all intelligence of a human. The perfect predator." Sunglasses explained. Drake slowly started to slip of his ring.
"Oh yeah?" He asked, starting to grin slightly. "Well I can see one problem with this."
"Oh? And that is?" The boy questioned. Drake threw the ring into the forest behind him. "Cats don't chase dogs, dogs chase cats." With this he himself dropped down to one knee, and felt the familiar power begin to surge through him.CHAOS universe: an alternate story
    Ch5 pt3

    Lightning Strike

Strike flew through the forest attempting to find his partner. Frankly, it wasn't that difficult, all he had to do was follow the line of debris. After a moment of flying through the forest he heard one of the most intimidating and terrifying sounds he had ever heard, or ever would. It was the sound of a battle, the start of a hunt. An enormous roar was piercing the forest, a roar which was powerful and fearless, willing to take on any challenges that came its way, afraid of nothing. The roar was so powerful it shook the trees and the ground itself. This, however, was not what made the sound so chilling. What made the sound so chilling was what was added to it, mixing with the roar and conflicting with it, challenging the roar with its very essence. The second sound was different and yet the same as the roar, it too symbolizing the start of conflict, for it was a long, ghostly howl. It was also signaling the start of a hunt, but it did not signal the start of a battle. It was signaling the start of a conflict in which it cared not who was the victor, but only who would survive. The sound was so incredible, so terrifying, that Strike hesitated. Would he join such a conflict? Why would he jump into such a horrible situation?
"Because Drake is in trouble, and only you can save him." Strike said out loud, and that was it. Any doubt, any second thoughts, any hesitations were now gone. He would not let his best friend fight alone. Bursting forward, Lightning flew at even greater speeds, twisting and turning around trees as if he knew they were there before he had even reached them. Without any hesitation, he flew directly toward where he had heard the two conflicting war cries. Suddenly, he broke into a clearing. In the clearing were two seemingly impossible things. First, there was an enormous cat, three times bigger than the largest lion, battling against Silver, in his wolf form, to the death. The second impossible thing was that it almost seemed as if the tiger was winning. As they fought, the cat jumped lithely around Silver, periodically scratching him and charging him, only to dive out of the way at the last moment. Glaring, Strike charged himself with electricity and prepared to strike the cat, only to get a strange tingling up his spine. With his reflexes kicking in, he suddenly turned and used the lighting to block a large beam of the same white/yellow energy which had shot down their jet. The two streams of energy collided and started to push against each other, attempting to over whelm the other stream. After a moment of pushing back and forth, the white energy stopped and a blonde haired boy wearing sunglasses stepped out of the forest.
"Ah, and I'm assuming your Lightning Strike then?" He questioned.
"That's correct." Strike replied, still very aware that his partner needed him.
"I've heard a lot about you." The boy continued. "They say your incredibly powerful. From what I've heard, your even more powerful than your partner here." He said, gesturing to the epic battle between the Tiger and the Wolf.
Shrugging modestly, Strike attempted to discretely charge his hand with lightning.
"So you should know not to mess with me then, huh?"
"Ah, no." He replied. "If your as powerful as they say, then you may stop my partner from ending your partner, and that would be a... Disappointment." He replied. "So I think I'll just distract you." Desperate to find a way to help his friend, he tried to keep the conversation going.
"Why not just kill both of us?"
"It's simple. My partner is much like yours, as you can see. The difference is, my partner has discovered something about his powers yours has not. If your partner were to discover this so said secret, the results would be...catastrophic. So we've simply come to kill him, and you pose no threat to us at the moment other than the possibility of stopping us. So, I must distract you." And with this, the boy proceeded to take his sunglasses off. Taking the moment of opportunity, Strike thrust his hand forward and shot forward a incredible amount of electricity. The boy dropped his sunglasses and held up his hands, causing a shield of white energy to suddenly form around him. Once the bolt struck the shield, there was a great flash of light as the two opposing forms of energy conflicted, before the bolt finally faded and the shield around the boy had disappeared. The boy, who was now looking at the ground and had his hands on his knees in exhaustion, laughed a small bit.
"So you are...as powerful as they say." He chuckled while trying to regain his composure.
"You have no idea." Strike implied as he held his hands up to strike the boy again.
"No..." The boy chuckled as he looked up. "You have no idea."
Strike gasped. The boy had no eyes. In place of where his eyes should have been, he instead had two globes of glowing white energy, continually fluctuating and pulsing. Lifting his hands, the boy suddenly shot two incredibly large beams of energy at Strike from his palms. Quickly, Strike formed a shield of electricity around himself just as the energy reached him. With as much energy as he could muster, he reinforced the shield with every thing he had. Without letting up, the beam lasted for about half a minuet before slowly fading, leaving both boys out of any breath they may have had. Hoping to catch the boy off guard, Strike managed to create a ball of electricity in each hand and throw both of them at the boy. Unfortunately, the boy had recovered quickly and dived to the side, barley avoiding both spheres of energy. Because of Silver, however, the boy had no chance to counter attack. There was no warning as the Tiger suddenly came flying through the air, straight towards the blonde boy. Again, having little time to react, the boy dived out of the way as his partner crashed into the ground where he had just been. Roaring, the tiger stood up and shook its head, only to be smashed into the ground again by Silver. Somehow, the Wolf had managed to unroot an entire tree and use it as a weapon. Relentlessly, the Wolf used the tree as a club and smashed the tiger into the ground. Strike winced every time Silver smashed the beast. Once Silver had determined that the beast was staying down for a while, he dropped the tree and looked up at the sky, giving a long, victorious howl. Apparently, between the howling and the smashing tree, the sound had been enough to allow the others to find them, because only moments later they ran through the tree line and into the clearing. Shana gasped as she saw the incredible wolf before her. Unfortunately, the others had distracted Strike from sunglasses, and he was using this to his advantage. Standing up, he forced a incredible beam of energy from his hands, chest, and eyes, striking Silver directly on his chest. The energy continued pouring into him, not stopping and filling the very essence of the wolf, until his entire form was glowing. With his eyes wide open, Strike stared. He didn't know if even he could create that much energy. Instead of reacting, Silver simply froze. After a moment, he started to shrink and within moments was in his ordinary human form, and was filled with so much energy he was about to explode.

    Chapter three

    Lightning Strike

Lighting stared off with the giant beast blocking the entire space of the hallway. When he had shown up, James had been fending off the monster with nothing but a pistol. Once Lightning had shown up, he'd gone to take care of other things. Flexing his hands, he got ready for any attack the beast may have planned. After a moment of growling, the beast suddenly charged forwards while roaring, tearing up most of the hallway as he ran. Loping on all four, he came straight towards Strike with blinding speed, clearing the hall within mere seconds. He waited until the last possible moment. His timing would have to be perfect. As instinct, his hands lit up with electricity, surging with pure, raw power. As the beast reached him, he brought his hands up with as much speed as he could muster, and pumped energy out of his finger tips, striking the beast. Yelling, he felt the incredible amount of power surge out of him, charging the very air. As he forced the energy into the wolf, he instantly felt the energy collapse within itself and explode, causing an impossibly powerful expulsion of raw electricity. The blast was so incredible, even Lighting was surprised by its force. As the electricity caused its destruction, it blasted both Lighting, and the Beast into the air, causing them both to fly in different directions. Hitting the ground, Lighting groaned in pain as he attempted to bring air back into his lungs. After a moment of rolling around on the ground, he managed to stand up while feeling the soreness in his muscles. Fortunately, the strike had taken its toll on the monster. It's huge, hulking form lay motionless on the ground, smoke pouring off of its body. Strike would have most certainly have had the same affect forced upon him, had it not been for his immunity to anything electric. Smirking a bit, Strike felt a small bit of pride spark in him.
"Sorry Drake, but I don't think talking to you would have worked." He stated to his unconscious friend as he started to search the debris, hoping to find his friends ring and turn him back into his normal, human self. While he searched, he heard the sounds of cackling fire, screaming people, and emergency vehicles wailing. Looking at the incredible mess the Beast had made, he looked at the still form of the Wolf. It was incredible how much power they possessed. How could one person hold enough power to cause this much destruction? Lighting shook his head and got back to the task at hand, which was finding that ring. Assuming that it was around here, anyways. He continued searching for the ring for around five minuets before he finally found it wedged under a huge piece of debris which had fallen from the ceiling.
"Bingo." He muttered as he picked it up.
Before he could run back to his friend and transform him back to his usual form, he heard a small scratching behind him. Stiffening his body, Strike slowly turned his head, hoping with everything in him that the sounds was not coming from a certain, very large wolf. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw it. The wolf was up.
"Oh. Crap. What does it take to keep you down, huh?" He asked in a strange tone, as if talking to a dog, which he supposed he was. However, Strike knew there was one thing that outshone all of Drakes other abilities, and that was the fact that he could never be taken down. Well, at least not in conventional methods, anyways. Smiling, Strike hoped to possibly befriend the monster. Unfortunately, the Beast was NOT happy. Someone has zapped him, and he knew exactly what he was going to do about it. Extending his claws to their full length, the Beast roared and picked up a piece of the floor, and it had to weigh at least 300 pounds. Coiling his powerful muscles, Drake hurled the rock at Lighting, sending it flying into the air, directly at the hero. Reacting instantly, he jumped out of the way, hitting the ground and rolling. As he stood up, he turned, only to see another piece of rock, larger than the last one, coming straight at him. He lifted his hand and allowed another bolt of electricity to shoot from his extended arm, completely exploding the debris and causing only a small shower of dust to reach him. Unfortunately, the Beast yet again proved it had more intelligence than the average animal, as it had only used the rock as a distraction. Because of the dust, Strike never saw Drake coming, and was hit by the full swing of his attack. Before he even knew what was happening, Strike was flying straight through the wall and out of the complex. Hitting the ground, everyone in the vicinity knew Lighting should have been dead. No one could survive a hit like that, at least not without some sort of protection. Still, Strike slowly stood up and wiped the blood of his lip, as if he had only received a small punch.
"Oh you wanna play that way?" He shouted at the Beast as it crashed through the wall Strike had just come through. "It. Is. On!" He yelled and flew straight towards the Beast, his entire body surging with power. Crashing into the Beast, he took it back into the building, smashing it through two more walls before landing on the ground and watching it crash into a third wall.
"Hah! Take tha-" his cocky retort was cut short as a large chunk of the wall came sailing through the hole Strike had just made, nearly smashing directly into him. Luckily, his reflexes saved him, as be dived out of the way just in time. Quickly standing up, he instantly charged himself with electricity. He watched the hole that the Beast would come through. After a few moments, he frowned. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. He slipped his hand into his pocket and felt the ring, just so he could feel safe. Inching forward, he tried to strain his neck to see into the hole. What he saw wasn't encouraging. The hold led into a large room which held nothing but darkness, barley any light shone into it. Glancing around, he wondered if the Wolf was down for the count. He decided it was worth the risk, and he held up his hand, which started to spark with electricity. Slowly, the sparks lit up the large room, revealing a large amount of destruction, but no giant, bloodthirsty wolf.
"Drake...? You in here?" He said in a playful tone, hoping to draw him out. After there was no reply, he slowly stepped in through the hole and lit up the room with his lighting.
"Nothing." He muttered. "Where the heck did you go?" Suddenly, he heard a deep growl behind him, sounding almost as If the beast was amused. Whirling around, he saw the Beast standing in the hole Strike had just come through, looking as if it was...laughing? No, that couldn't be right. Before the Wolf had any time to react, Strike lifted his hand blasted the Beast with a small sphere of electricity, causing the beast to stumble backwards. Without hesitation, he shot through the air directly towards the Wolf. As he flew he brought the silver ring out of his pocket and held it in front of him. He struck the wolf with the ring making direct contact with the skin, and attempted to wrap his arms around Silver, giving him a sort of strange hug. Honestly, he couldn't even wrap his arms around half of the beasts incredible mass, but the hug-of-death had its intended effect. By hugging Silver, he had effectively trapped the ring and pressed it firmly onto his fur. Without too much delay, the struggling monster soon started to lose mass and shrink, losing its muscle, fur, and ferocity.
"There you go boy." Strike said while struggling to continue his hug. "Just go on back to normal." He continued to trap the Beast in the hug until he had shrunk down into normal size, and was again his friend Drake. For the moment, the disaster was over.

    Ch3 pt 2

Silver slowly opened his eyes, coming out of the deep fog which he had been hiding in. People probably assumed he had been knocked unconscious, but the reality was, when he came out of his Wolf form he had no injuries whatsoever. He didn't even feel sore. However, he had found out then when he came out of the form, he could simply choose to hibernate for as long as he chose to. It seemed that staying in his hibernated form for a while would be the best idea in this instance. Finally, he came out of the deep sleep and re-entered the world. Because of his recent experience, he wasn't to surprised when he found him self in a large, dark, metal room. Chuckling, he put his right hand on the ground and used it as a support to stand up. He had been put in the room to be contained, but if he'd learned anything over these few months, it was that nothing could contain him. Well, unless you used silver, but only Strike, Midas, and the girls knew that. Now standing up, Silver took in his surroundings. He recognized the room almost instantly. It was one of the CHAOS bases interrogation rooms. It was a bland room, with a color scheme of mostly grey. It lacked any furnishings, and had only a small metal table and two very uncomfortable chairs. Frowning, Silver bit his lip. Interrogation rooms were fairly secure, but if they had wanted to contain him they certainly wouldn't have placed him in this room. It didn't take but a few seconds before Silver heard footsteps. Moments later, the door opened and in stepped Midas himself. Closing the door, he turned to look at Silver.
"Okay. All microphones are off, and the cameras are down. No one is going to know what we say in here." He stated as he walked over to one of the chairs and sat down. "We have five minuets. Get talking."
Silver instantly sat down across from him. He was fairly confident he could trust James. After all, it was James who had given him the idea to go Wolf in the first place.
"I'm not sure there's much to say." He replied.
"Just let me know," Midas spoke. "Are the girls safe?"
Silver gave Midas an irritated look. "I don't know where they are or if they're safe. I was in Wolf form, remember? And I barley remember anything about that in the first place."
Midas nodded and continued. "Okay. Well, I've convinced my superiors it was an accident, but we can't risk anything like that again, got it? Lay low, play it safe. And whatever you do, don't visit the girls. They'll be watching you." With this he stood up and walked out, leaving the door wide open.
"Yes sir." Silver muttered in a sarcastic tone as he walked after the man. It was going to be a long next few months.

"Okay Strike, please tell me you've got eyes on him?" Silver spoke into his headset, looking out into the crowd while desperately attempting to find his target. He tried to get his scent, but with so many people it was impossible! There is no way to track down someone in the crowd at Time Square!
"No, I lost him! Watch the statues!" Strike shouted back. At the moment, Silver's partner was hidden on top of one of the nearby buildings keeping a birds eye view of the situation. As if that was helping. Silver continued searching the crowd hoping to catch sight of the target. "It's impossible!" Silver growled in frustration. "Look at how many people are here!"
"I think that you should be more worried about the number of statues." Strike replied.
"Point taken." Silver agreed, and turned his attention to the statues. There were hundreds of statues in the entire place, the target could be anywhere. He continued to scan the statues, looking at the works of art made of stone, marble, and metals of all sorts. "C'mon... You have to be here somewhere..." He muttered.
"Silver!" Strike suddenly yelled over the radio. "The statue of the angel! To your left!"
Silver whirled around and gave a quick look for the statue that had alerted Lightning. There was a small angel statue sitting on a pedestal, dressed in a simple tunic and holding its hands over its face, as if it were weeping.
"How do you know it's the right one?" Silver asked while walking towards the statue, attempting to make it look as if he was still looking for his target.
"It moved." Came the simple reply.
"I'm on it." Silver spoke under his breath as he made his way in the general direction of the statue. As he walked passed it, he turned his head away from the stone angel, giving it a perfect chance at an attack. Luckily, it took the bait. Without warning, it reached forwards and grabbed Silver's neck, putting him into a choke hold. Silver heard several people scream at the moving statue, but he stayed perfectly still.
"If you want to live." The angel whispered into his ear. "Then you'll simply let me go."
Silver chuckled and shook his head as much as he could.
"I'm going to have to say no. Sorry." He replied, and with that, he grabbed the angels wrist and flipped it over his head, smashing it into the pavement on the ground. Instantly Silver heard more screaming and panicking, and people started running from the strange fight. People may have known about supers by now, but the certainly weren't use to them. The angel jumped up and changed forms, as if breaking off a shell. The shell of the angel was destroyed, revealing a boy in a simple sweatshirt and jeans. He had red, curly, out of control hair, and a freckled face. His features were sharp and angular, matching his tall lanky limbs.
"Your...your like me." He stuttered, his eyes growing to the size of dinner plates. Okay, so maybe not EVERYONE knew about supers yet.
"Yeah, only I don't use my powers to steal from banks. And break people out of prisons." Silver's tone was condescending, as if chastising a child.
The boy winced as Silver mentioned the prison. "That was an accident. The bank? Yeah, not so much. Killing you however..." The boy got a sadistic grin. "That'll be on purpose." With this, another shell started forming over him, turning his skin a bright bronze color. Within only seconds, the boy had turned into a full size bronze bull, complete with steam coming out of its nostrils. Silver recognized the statue the boy had transformed into, it actually happened to be somewhere behind him. Silver grinned as the bull charged.
"Bad move-" was all he could get out before the bull was suddenly hit with an large bolt of electricity, causing it to veer off track and fall onto its side. Lightning slowly descended and landed next to Silver, smirking.
    "That was easy." He joked.
Silver glared at his partner. "You take all the fun out of everything, you know that?"

    Ch3 pt 3

Strike laughed and gestured to the now unconscious metal bull.
"Guess you get to carry him." He observed. As Silver sighed, he heard a new sound, not too far off.
"Yeah, we need to get out of here. I can hear the cops coming." He informed Lighting. Just before he leaned down to pick up the bull, he heard a small whistling sound, as if something was slicing through the air. With all the screaming people it was impressive that he had heard it, even with his incredible hearing. Acting with impossible reflexes, his hand shot forward with incredible speed and caught the small, black, deadly projectile just before it reached its target: Strikes face. Strike didn't even flinch, but simply stood petrified while staring at the black throwing needle. If it had hit him, he would certainly be dead.
"Diamond!" Strike shouted as he recognized the projectile and dived behind a nearby trash can, just barely avoiding the barrage of black needles that followed. Silver, on the other hand, simply watched as the needles bounced off his skin and fell to the ground.
"Diamond." Silver echoed as he got into a fighting stance. "Long time no see."
As he spoke, a dark figure landed in front of him, jumping from one of the tall structures all around time square. As he stood up, Silver glared at the intruder. His rival, known as The Black Diamond, had decided to crash the party.
"You show up at bad times buddy." Silver scolded him, only to be replied to by receiving several needles into his head. Recoiling in pain, he brought up his hands to block the needles, only to find himself suddenly suspended in air. After not even half a second, he was forced backwards and flung through the wall of a car, completely breaking the car in half. Silver felt little pain through this process, but he was still disoriented. Shaking his head, he stood up and brushed the dust off his shirt. He looked over to see his partner fighting not only Diamond, but also fending off his own rival; Push.
"Crap." He said to himself, and looked around. Looking at the destroyed car, he figured that the owner wasn't really going to want it anymore, so he picked up half of the vehicle, as if it were made of styrofoam. He took aim at Push, figuring that Diamond would most likely dodge it, and through it with as much might as he could. It sailed through the air in a perfect arc, and just before it could hit Push he used his abilities to levitate himself higher in order to dodge Strike's electric bolt, effectively allowing him to dodge both attacks at once. Unfortunately, it also alerted him that Silver was back up and standing.
"You!" He shouted as he pointed his finger at Silver. "You won't interfere!" He screamed and sent a wave of pure psychic energy at him. Growling In frustration, Silver dropped to one knee and barley managed to withstand the blast. Geez, this kid was insane. Quickly, Silver stood up and decided it was probably best to get one of the villains off of his partner before he became over whelmed. Jumping straight into the air, Silver flew over most of the distance of Time Square in one leap, landing directly beside Black Diamond. Thrusting his hand forwards, he grabbed Diamond before he even knew what was happening and through him all the way across the square. Thinking this would be the end of Diamond for a while, he started to turn around to face Push, only to be stopped in his tracks. He stood with his mouth hanging open a bit as Diamond sailed through the air and extended his arms. Out of his sleeves came two impossibly large black chains, continuing to stretching far past the length of any chain that should fit into the boys coat. It continued extending out of his coat sleeves until it wrapped around a street light, then it started to pull the boy forwards, effectively allowing him to simply land on the ground unharmed.
"You have got to be kidding me." Silver stated in awe. Diamond landed on the ground and started to run directly towards Silver.
"Yeah," he said while running, allowing Silver to hear his deep voice for the first time. "I've got a few tricks up my sleeves."
With this, he swung his arms, allowing six needles to come out of his sleeves and strike Silver in the chest, doing absolutely no damage. Now Silver was definitely going to take him down, one for being a villain, two for making bad puns. Silver ran at Diamond and planned to me him head on. Charging forward, he swung his fist at Diamond at the last second, only to have Diamond flip over him and land directly behind him. Diamond whirled around to stab Silver with a needle but was stopped as Silver quickly turned around and caught his wrist. Working with speed, he thrust his fist froward three times striking Diamond in chest, stomach, and shoulder. Silver had thrown the blows so quickly Diamond reacted to each blow as if they were all as one, and fell backwards on to the ground. Quickly, Diamond surprised Silver by rolling back up and producing a pure black Bo staff out of thin air.
"How did you...?" Silver asked in confusion. Those punches would have been enough to dent a car, and yet he simply got right back up. While he couldn't see his face, Silver knew that Diamond had to have been grinning.
"Like I said." He replied. "I have some extra tricks up my sleeve." With this he started to spinning his staff around in a complicated series of forms, making a seemingly impenetrable wall. Stepping forward, Silver shot his hand forward and caught the staff, stopping it mid swing, and then punched straight towards Diamonds face. Diamond flipped backwards, barley avoiding the attack.
"That's it. You and me. Now." Silver spat, and charged the cloaked attacker.

    Lightning Strike

Strike rolled under the car currently flying through the air towards him. As he completed his role, he came up and shot a bolt of electricity at Push. Reacting without hesitation, Push held up his hand and created a sort of mental barrier, deflecting the bolt of lightning. As if being able to fly, push items, and ignore weight wasn't enough, he could create shields now. Great. Lighting shot into the air and started to circle is levitating opponent, shooting electricity here and there, attempting to get through his barrier. Unfortunately, he was to focused. There would need to be a distraction before he could get through. Figuring Silver might be able to help, he stole a glance at his partner. At the moment, Silver and Black Diamond were in a hand to hand fight of death. The two of them were moving almost faster than the eye could see, countering, blocking, attacking, and repeating. Every once and a while they would perform impressive acrobatics moves, worthy of being in a circus. Clearly, Silver was a little to occupied to be helping. Turning his attention back to the problem at hand, he started a barrage of electrical attacks. While he may not be able to actually hurt Push, he could keep him occupied enough so he wouldn't try to counter attack.
"You can never touch me!" Push shouted, a crazed look in his eye. "I'm invincible! The most powerful there is!"
Strike grit his teeth. This guy was obsessed with power.
"Oh for heavens sake." Strike muttered. As he continued peppering the crazed boy with attacks, he quickly realized that it would take one, concentrated attack to get through his shield. The question was, did he have that sort of fire power?
"Oh come on Lighting Strike!" He said the name as if it were an insult. "Hit me with your best shot, weakling!"
Strike glared at Push and stopped flying around and simply levitated where he was.
"Are you sure you can take that kind of power, Push?" He taunted.
"Hit me with everything you've got!" He screamed. Clearly, he needed to prove he was the most powerful. "Well it won't work out so well for him." Strike thought, than out loud yelled back.
    "You asked for it!"
Breathing in deeply, he felt power start to surge through him. Electricity filled every bit of him, every inch of his being becoming charged with energy. Strike commanded the power, ordering it to come to his finger tips, to obey every single command he gave. The power complied and went exactly where it was told. With all of his power literally at his finger tips, Strike felt every bit of power within him, and felt invincible.
    "Well?!" Push screamed. "I'm waiting!"
Lighting grinned, the air around him becoming to glow. "You'll wish you hadn't of."
With this, he thrust every bit of power he was containing out, putting every volt of power he had into one, huge, mega bolt. The bolt reached Push's shield in slo motion, tearing straight through it as if it were paper. Push's invincible shield never stood a chance. The shield shattered and the bolt cause explosion, one more powerful that Strike had ever created. It forced everything within a fifteen to twenty foot radius to fly backwards, and left a large crater where Push had been standing. Push was now quite a bit aways, smoking and attempting to regain his footing.
Strike smirked with satisfaction. Before he could taunt Push about his victory, he felt a hand suddenly grab his ankle, pulling him about of the air to the ground.
"What the-?!" He sputtered as he was dragged to the ground. Looking down, he saw he was being dragged down by a ghostly, white, wispy hand sticking out of the ground. Strike gasped. All he could see of the hand was from the elbow up, and nothing else. Panicking, he held his hand out and zapped the hand with a small bit f electricity. Recoiling, the hand sunk into the ground as Strike exhaled the air he was holding in.
"What the...? What was...?" He gasped and stuttered, attempting to figure out what had just happened. Quickly realizing that he should warn his partner, he activated his earpiece.
"Silver! I think there might be another villain!" He shouted. Silver, who was all the way across the square attempting to smash Diamond, who was hopping on several statues at a time and causing Silver to continually miss, replied almost instantly.
"Who?" He questioned as he accidentally smashed one of the statues.
"I don't know! He just phased out of the ground and-" before he could say anymore the hand came out of the ground again, only this time being followed by a body, which phased out of the ground until there was a ghostly white silhouette in front of him.
"Never mind, I got him." Strike finished, only to see that Push had recovered and was flying towards Silver.
"Crap. Who's got push?" Silver replied. Strike knew there wasn't much try could do. Three against two wasn't good odds, especially when they didn't know one of the threes powers.
"Uh...." Strike said, keeping a wary look on the unmoving silhouette. "I don't-" fortunately, this time, Strike didn't need to come up with a plan. Without warning, a large ball of fire came crashing into Push and exploded, forcing Push out of the air. Help had arrived, although from where, none of them knew.

    SilverFang

Silver whirled around to see where the explosion had come from. To his surprise, he saw fire raining from the sky. Quickly using his senses to search the area, he found the source of the explosion. Out of a small alley way between two buildings, a short girl stepped out. She had a black leather coat on, with blue jeans and black combat boots. Her hair was black, and long, with bright red extensions all through out it. Silver took in as many details as he could before turning back to Diamond and continuing his chase. The fire came from her, he was sure of it. After all, Silver smelled smoke on every inch of her. Jumping up on top of a statue Diamond had been on top of only moment before, he played a game of cat and mouse, attempting to catch him, only to just barley miss him every time.
"Silver! We've got problems!" Strike yelled over the radio. Without breaking his concentration, Silver replied.
    "What's up?"
"The new comer! Miss black an red, she's probably a civilian!"
"So! How does that hurt us? She's helping right?" Silver jumped and just barley missed Diamond again.
"We can't let her get hurt!" Strike replied.
Growling in frustration, Silver snapped back. "Then you take care of her! I'm busy!"
    "I can't! I'm a little busy!"
Silver glanced over to see the ghostly silhouette flying all around Strike, phasing in and out of the ground. Strike was attempting to hit it with electricity, and just barley keeping it at bay. At the same time, he checked to see how the girl was doing. Unfortunately, it wasn't going so great for her either. Push was currently forcing her backwards with his abilities. She herself was attempting to stop the oncoming onslaught by somehow managing to create a wall of fire, however Push's abilities were overwhelming her own and continually shoving her backwards. Turning back to Diamond, Silver made a decision.
"Okay!" He shouted as he leaped into the air, sailing towards Push. "I'll take care of her, just keep that ghost thing at bay!" Silver used his senses to determine that Diamond was following him. Great. He was going to take on two villains at once.
"She better be a good fighter." Silver muttered as he continued sailing through the air, straight at Push. At the moment, Push had broken through her barrier and was lifting his hand to strike the finishing blow.
"No more games. Now I finish you." He spoke. Just before he could attack, he heard a voice shout out.
"Not on my watch!" He turned just in time to get slammed by Silver, getting tackled straight into the ground. Silver had to give the girl credit, she reacted with impressive speed. Without a moment hesitation, she jumped up and held out her hand, causing a stream of fire to materialize out of nowhere and fly towards Black Diamond, forcing the cloaked boy to dodge out of the way instead of helping his partner get away from Silver. For Push, things were going even worse. Without mercy, Silver pounded him into the ground repeatedly, giving him no chance to counter attack. Within seconds, Push was unconscious, and certainly not getting up for a while.
Standing up, he turned around to help the girl fight Diamond, only to be surprised to find out she didn't really need help. Currently, she had used the fire she seemed to be able to summon to make two giant whips made of pure flame. As she swung the whips they heeded we every command, reacting perfectly with her movements, stretching and shrinking at her command. Diamond, on the other hand, was putting on an equally impressive show. Jumping and weaving, he performed the most incredible acrobatic feats in order to avoid the strings of flame such as flipping, hand springing, rolling, jumping, and pretty much doing every move you would think of as impossible to perform. It was becoming increasingly clear that he had received physical enhancements similar to The Faultline. Deciding that the girl didn't need assistance for the moment, he surveyed the situation. At this point, the entire Time Square had been evacuated, leaving absolutely no one left in the area besides the battling supers and the ever nearing police men. They needed to finish this, and soon.
With sudden worry, he turned to make sure his partner was doing okay. Unfortunately, it wasn't going so well for him. The ghostly figure had created some sort of energy field around it, and was slowly advancing towards Strike. Attempting to break through the shield, Strike continued peppering it with attacks, but it was clear his power was waning. The incredible attack he ha used to break Push's unbreakable shield had taken a lot out of him. It was clear at this point that his partner needed help, and he made his decision. Running forwards, he started churning his legs, and sped forward at 40 miles an hour. He increased his speed to impossible lengths until he was going so fast that when he reached the ghosts shield he...well, he bounced straight off it. Flying backwards, he hit the ground and skid across it before coming to a stop.
"Mph." He moaned. Fortunately, the attack was enough to get the silhouettes attention. Slowly, it turned to look at him. Lifting its hand, clearly it was about to release some sort of attack, when a voice interrupted him.
    "Stop!"
The silhouette turned, along with both Silver and Strike, to see Diamond carrying Push over his shoulder, and the girl nowhere to be seen.
"We can't afford this! Meet back at the chosen area!"
The silhouette nodded and melted into the ground, completely disappearing. Within seconds, Diamond and Push had disappeared as well. After a few moments if silence, Silver stood up and gasped.
"The girl! The girl, where did she go?" The two of them searched for hours for both the villains, the girl, and the statue boy. No luck for any of them. All of them managed to escape, and the two of them had failed. The mission was a disaster. Clearly, CHAOS had no luck whatsoever.

    Chapter four

"Let me get this straight." Midas said. "You just failed a mission, managed to destroy Time Square, AND had an encounter with ORDER, and your asking for vacation time?"
Silver shrugged as the two of them walked through the hall of the CHAOS base. After the recent failure two days ago, he had decided he needed to get some certain things done that he couldn't afford to do while being on duty for CHAOS.
"Yes sir." Silver replied. "I need to get some personal affairs in order. And besides, for the year I've been working for you, can you name one time I've asked for time off?"
"That would be because super heroes don't GET time off, Marble."
    Silver pursed his lips.
"Look James, I really need this time. It's not like ill spend it idly, I'll be using it to take care of some stuff that CHAOS can't afford to focus on right now."
Midas continued walking down the hall briskly. "Look Drake, if it was just you asking for time off, maybe I would agree. But asking for Daniel to have time off too? That's taking one of our only two teams out of the picture! We're short handed as it is!"
Silver saw his chance to change the CHAOS leader's mind.
"Off the record sir," Silver lowered his voice a bit. "This may help you take care of that problem."
Midas finally stopped walking down the hall and stood still, giving Silver a look that clearly meant "choose your words carefully".
"What do you mean Marble?" His tone was intimidating, as if to warn Drake that he was entering dangerous territory.
"I can't tell you sir. If you knew, it would force you to be responsible for whatever happens." Drake replied evenly.
After a few moments, James surprised him with his answer.
"Okay, I'm giving you two a week of vacation time. That's it, no more, no less." He started to leave, but turned around to look at him again. "And you two are not SilverFang and Lightning Strike while your out, all right? Your just Drake and Daniel." With this, he walked down the hall as if the conversation had never happened.
"Yes sir." Drake said, and then walked down the hall in opposite direction. Finally, he could hopefully clear some things up.

"You ready man?" Daniel asked, shouldering his bag. Silver came up next to him, carrying a bag of his own. The two of them were meeting in the CHAOS hanger in order to to start their "vacation". Upsides to having super powers: you don't have to pay airfare. Once the airplane hanger door was open, the two of the heroes flew out of the door. First stop: New York. The two supers sped across the ground, reaching New York within only half an hour. Their first stop in New York was the ever infamous Time Square. When they reached it, the destruction they had caused was evident. While people where again walking about, construction areas riddled the place like holes in a field.
"Geez, we really did a number on this place, didn't we?" Daniel asked, looking around. Drake nodded and looked at the destruction.
    "Definitely."
The two of them were wearing their ordinary clothes, and not the their gear they generally wore when they were on duty. Well, at least Daniel wasn't. Drake never wore any gear or costumes in the first place. As they walked through the crowd, Drake was on the lookout for the area where he had last seen the person they were looking for. It didn't take long before he recognized the alley way where the girl had made her entrance from. Pointing at the alley way, he shook Daniels shoulder. Quickly, the two made their way through the crowd towards the alley. Once they had reached there, Daniel looked around the area, then gave Drake a thumbs up.
"Do your thing." He told him.
Nodding, Silver took in the alley way. It was dark and damp, and led into a dead end. It had three trash dumps in it, along with assorted card board boxes laying it random heaps around the ground. He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply, taking in every scent in the ally.
"Cardboard....dust....bananas..." He muttered unintelligibly as he sorted out the different smells his nose was giving to him. "Trash...stone... Oh hello!" His eyes snapped open.
"What, did you get her scent?" Daniel called over his shoulder, still keeping a lookout for enemies.
"Yeah, I think so. It's really faint..." Drake suddenly looked up. Whirling around, he watched a scraggy looking husky run past Daniel.
"Hey! Hey, follow that dog!" He shouted, running past Daniel in pursuit of the stray.
"What? Why?" Daniel asked as he ran to keep up with Drake.
"It has her scent!" He yelled back as he chased it. They weaved through the crowd, knocking several people aside and getting cursed and sworn at quite a bit, but they continued following the dog. After a bit of dog chasing, the husky turned right, into another alley. Quickly, the duo ran into the alley way after it and found the dog digging through trash.
"Hey boy!" Drake said in that certain "dog tone" people use.
"What... Exactly is your plan by finding this...dog?" Daniel huffed. Clearly, flying all the way from Texas to New York and then running had taken a little bit out of him.
"Well, it has her scent on it!" Drake replied excitedly.
"That's great." He replied sarcastically. "Why don't you ask it where to find her?"
Drake glared at his friend. "I intend to." With this, he leaned down and started to make a strange series of barking and whining noises. Before Daniel could tell Drake whatever it was he was about to say, the dog replied in a similar series of barking and whining noises.
"Wait. Did it just... Reply?" He questioned. Drake simply held up a finger, signaling for quiet, and then continued making the strange noises. After a minuet or two of the strange conversation, Drake stood up.
"Daniel, this is Scruff. He's the girl we've been looking for's companion, and he's kindly agreed to lead us to her." Drake explained, smiling broadly. Daniel simply stared with wide eyes.
"You can talk to dogs? Since when?!" He exclaimed.
"I've always been able to, but no one cares about my abilities other than my strength and senses." He replied in a huff, the barked at Scruff, who ran out of the alley barking.
"Shall we?" Drake said while gesturing to Scruff, who was now waiting by the alley entrance wagging his tail.
    "Um... Right."
The two of them followed the dog. Fortunately, he was now moving slower so the two of them could follow at a slow jog. They continued following it through the city, moving from the upbeat and lively part of the town to a less friendly part. If it weren't for the fact that he and his friend had super powers, Drake would have been worried about getting mugged or something of the sort. The two of them followed Scruff for quite a while, until they reached one of many beaten down and old apartment buildings. Clearly, they had traveled several miles before reaching here. Scruff barked and wagged his tale, looking at the building.
"Thanks Scruff. I owe you one." Drake said. Scruff barked happily and ran off towards another alley. Daniel started to walk up the steps to the apartment building, but Drake stopped him.
"I can hear something behind the building." He informed his friend.
"What is it?" Daniel asked, straining to hear what his friend did.
    "Something bad." He replied.

    Ch4 pt2

Daniel nodded without question and instantly started to walk around to the back of the building. Sighing, Drake followed. Before, Daniel had already been cocky. Getting super powers only made him more so. As they walked around the building, Drake continued hearing the strange noises. It sounded as if it were an argument, but at random points he would hear cries of pain and and a thud, as if something was slamming against skin. Daniel turned the corner before he did, and before Drake could even get half away around the corner, his friend shouted.
    "Hey! What's going on here?"

    Daniel (not Lightning Strike)

Daniel surveyed the situation. Fortunately, they had found their target. Unfortunately, she was currently pinned to the wall by a large boy. The boy wasn't much older than Drake or Daniel, had large arms, and a rugged look about him. His hair was long, black, and curly, which matched his dark eyes. With his long, unruly hair, the boy also had chiseled featured and an impressive build. If it weren't for the fact that he could probably fry the boy on the spot, Daniel might have been a bit intimidated. At the moment, the boy was holding the girl up against the wall, with his hand over her mouth and her feet not even touching the ground. She looked angry, but once she saw Daniel, another look replaced her anger: fear.
"Just walk away." The rugged boy replied, giving Daniel a look which clearly meant "stay out of this if you want to live." Unfortunately for this kid, he wasn't feeling to intimidated.
"Hm....no, I don't think so." He replied, giving the boy a cocky smile. He looked at the girl, but she still looked scared. Why? She could control fire for Pete's sake, why was she so afraid?
"Listen, trust me. You don't want to mess with this. Now keep walking." His tone had now become menacing, with a sharp edge to it. At this point, Drake had walked around the corner and surveyed the situation, but he seemed content to simply stand back and watch for now. His smile now turning to a look of irritation, Daniel replied.
"Sorry pal. Your sitting here hurting another person. Can't stand back. How about you walk away? After all, there are two of us, and one of you. And trust me, you don't want to tangle with us." He retorted. Looking at the girl, she was now shaking her head vigorously, desperately trying to tell him something, but couldn't through the boys hand. The boy chuckled and stepped back, allowing the girl to land on her feet. Standing still, she simply stared in fright at the boy.
"Oh trust me. I'm the one you don't want to be messing with. So, because I'm in a forgiving mood, I'm going to give you one chance: back. Off." His voice was now full of complete confidence, and it was annoying the heck out of Daniel. It was time to show this guy who was boss. Within seconds his entire body was lit with electricity, giving the entire area a eerie blue glow. Surprisingly, the boy didn't seem to worried. He looked more surprised than anything.
"Whoa." He said, sounding almost impressed. "Your like Shana." He exclaimed while gesturing to the girl, who was still standing petrified by the wall. Okay, so apparently the girls name was Shana.
"Yeah, so basically, to sum things up: run." Daniel said, smirking a bit. However, he was terribly confused when the boy only snorted.
"Really? Just cause you have powers like Shana doesn't mean I'm scared of you." He laughed. That was it, it was time to teach this guy a lesson. As he lifted his hand to zap him, he heard Drake and Shana gasp at the same time. The very second the bolt left his hand, he heard both of the shout at once. "No!" For some reason, both had tried to stop him, but it was to late. This guy was getting zapped. Daniel watched in slomotion as the bolt traveled towards the smirking boy. As the bolt hit him, there was a large flash of violet light, and then, as if by magic, the bolt had disappeared.
"What? How...?" Daniel said in amazement. Chortling, the boy gave the two boys a look of pity.
"I never said I wasn't like Shana to." With this, he lifted up his hand and pointed it at Drake.
"Jared, no!" Shana cried as the boys hand lit up with electricity and shot forward, striking Drake directly in the chest. Flying backwards, Drake hit the ground with a large thud and stayed there, unmoving. Fortunately, Daniel didn't have to be worried about him all that much. The bolt had probably just stopped his heart, and caused no permanent damage. It would just start up again in a bit. Switching focuses, Daniel looked at the boy in amazement.
"Okay, that was impressive... But not as impressive as this!" He shouted, suddenly coming alive with hundreds of volts of electricity. Pouring out of his hand, he shot every bit of it into his opponent. He heard the girl yell something, but the lighting drowned out most of the noise. After a few seconds of pouring the electricity into the boy, he ceased using his powers, confident this was enough to take him out. To his surprise, the boy was completely unharmed.
"Yeah, nice try." The boy sneered, and lifted up his hands to strike Daniel, presumably with the same electricity he had been stuck with.
"No!" Shana cried out, and jumped forward, putting herself between Daniel and "Jared". As she jumped, a sphere of fire formed around her hand. Using the sphere, she shoved it in front of herself, using it as a shield to protect Daniel from the blast. When the electricity reached Shana's shield, there was a massive explosion, forcing Shana into the air. Instinctively, Daniel grabbed the girl and spun around, causing him to receive the brunt of the blast. They flew into the air and crashed into the ground. Daniel continued holding on to the girl, trying to protect her as much as he could. Both of them laid on the ground with a ringing in their ears. After a moment, the girl suddenly snapped back to reality and started to shove Daniel away from her.
"Get off me!" She yelled. Standing up as quickly as she could, she looked around. When she spotted the boy standing back up, she turned back to Daniel.
"Get up! Now! We have to get out of here!" She commanded, and Daniel wasn't feeling in the mood to disagree. Getting up a quickly as he could, he shot a lighting bolt directly in front of the boy, causing the ground to explode and force him to stumble backwards. Quickly, he grabbed the girl around the waist while simultaneously reaching to grab Drakes arm. As soon as he had a firm grip on both of them, he shot into the air. He heard Shana gasp suddenly, but other than that she made no reaction to the fact that she was flying. Flying for a bit, Daniel flew into a section of the city where there were several abandoned warehouses lined along the dock. Slowly, he descended and landed in front of one he knew for sure was empty. As soon as he landed, Shana pushed away from him and gestured to the whare house.
"Is it empty?" She asked. Once Daniel had nodded, she jogged towards it and gestured to Drakes limp figure.
"Get your friend in here then." She ordered. Sighing, Daniel dragged Drake into the whare house and left him on the floor between several empty crates. Without hesitation, Shana leaned down to examine Drake, checking to see if he was breathing and checking his pulse.
"He's... He's dead." She muttered in disbelief. Daniel shook his head.
"No he's not." He said simply. Shana looked up with anger in her piercing blue eyes.
"Look, I know your in denial, but he has no heart beat, okay? He's dead, and Jared killed him!" She choked on the last few words and began to sob only a few seconds later. Daniel instantly felt bad, but unfortunately, he wasn't really the right person to be comforting people. At least he was better than Drake.
"Look, Jared didn't kill anyone. Drake isn't dead." He said, his tone becoming softer. Shana looked up with tears in her eyes.
"He has! No! Heartbeat!" She sobbed.
"Look, I know it looks bad, but NOTHING kills Drake, all right? Just give him a minuet or two." Daniel replied quietly, putting his hand on her shoulder to guide her away from Drakes limp body. She silently heeded to his hand and followed him over to a crate where the two of them sat down.
"Why don't you tell me who Jared is?" Daniel asked after a few moment of silence. Shana sniffled.
"He received his....powers, at the same time I did. Only he uses his for...awful things. He's does terrible things to people." With this, she broke down crying, sobbing into her hands. Daniel felt a twinge of sympathy in his stomach.
"Hey, don't worry, it's not your fault." He tried to comfort her.
"Maybe it is." She replied after managing to stop crying so much so she could speak.
"It's not your fault that he-" Daniel started to say.
"He's my brother!" She yelled, her voice suddenly raising enough to echo throughout the room.

    Ch4 pt3

Daniel felt the air grow still. Instantly he felt bad.
"I...I'm sorry." He stuttered. The girl looked up at him in anger.
"And what was your deal, huh? Couldn't you leave everything alone? Why'd you have to barge in like that! I had everything under control, and then you had to barge in!" She shouted, the empty whare house causing her voice to echo all around. Daniel tried to defend himself.
    "Everything under control? What-!"
"And then, I tried to warn you to leave! But no, you had to stick your nose into business that wasn't yours, and now Jared killed your friend!" She was now storming around the building shouting at the top of her lungs with tears streaming down her face. Daniel stood up in frustration.
"He isn't dead!" He shouted. Shana turned to him with a mixture of dread, knowing, and pure hatred.
"No one survives the NeverDawn." She stated with deadly seriousness. There was a moment of deadly silence.
"Who?" Daniel asked in utter confusion. Before Shana could reply, a sound came from the other end of the whare house.
"Drake?" Daniel called. Shana growled In frustration.
"He's dead, don't you get it-?" She was cut off by another voice which cut through the whare house like a hot knife through butter.
"I hope your not taking about me." The voice called from the other end of the room. Turning, Shana stared wide-eyed at a spot behind Daniel. With a knowing smile on his face, he turned around to see his friend standing in the middle of the whare house looking completely unharmed. Well, unharmed besides the large burnt hole in his shirt.
"Hey buddy, what took you so long?" He asked, simply for the benefit of letting Shana know exactly what he was thinking: "I told you so."
"Eh, you know, part of my chest was incinerated, and my heart stopped. Takes a bit to recover." He replied, smiling at Shana.
"That's....that's not possible." She stuttered, wiping a tear from her face.
"You died. I SAW you die." Drake smiled and shrugged.
"I got fatally wounded. Doesn't mean I'm dead." With this, his face grew serious. "However, we need to talk. Now."

Daniel looked up at the ceiling of the whare house. After Shana had explained who she was, and who Jared was, all three of them had decided to spend the night there. It turned out, Shana was actually a ORDER run away. She and her brother had been on their own for years. One day, they found two diamonds. Not believing their luck, they had gone to sell them, only to have them break on the way there. Later, they learned that they had received powers from the crystals. Only three weeks later, ORDER had found them and recruited them. After only two months of being in ORDER, she had seen the horrible things they did and had decided to leave. Her brother, however, had come to love ORDER, and when he found out she had run off, he had chased her down. She had remained hidden for a month or two, but when she had decided to help Silver and Strike in Time Square...well, it had blown her cover. It took only a matter of days for her brother, code name NeverDawn, to find her. It had taken her quite a while to admit, and she had only admitted it grudgingly, but if Daniel hadn't shown up, she would most likely be dead. The reason Daniel or Shana had been able to fight back was due to Jared's ability: to absorb and release, or destroy energy. Essentially, he was untouchable by any sort of energy. After a while of talking, the boys finally convinced her that they could help her stay away from NeverDawn. Thankfully, she also agreed to let them know everything she knew about ORDER. Sighing, Daniel rolled over onto his side. Hearing a small sound, he turned to see Drake leaving the whare house. Daniel smiled. He knew Drake was going to go visit his family. Maybe he should pay his own family a visit in a bit. Smiling with this happy thought, Daniel faded into the deep valley that was so welcoming, known as sleep.

    Drake (not SilverFang)

Stretching, Drake slowly woke up. After visiting his family for a small while, he had returned to New York to find Daniel and Shana right where he had left them. Now, he woke up to find they were both talking in the corner of the room farthest away Drake. Glancing over, Daniel saw that Drake had awoken.
"Drake, come over here." He called. Walking over, Drake glanced at Shana, who seemed a bit more lively today.
    "What's up?" He asked.
"Shana here, has asked to join CHAOS." Daniel said with enthusiasm.
"Really?" Drake asked. Shana nodded and smiled.
"I want to use my abilities for something, and from Daniels told me, you guys are doing some good work. Besides destroying Time Square." Drake winced as she mentioned square.
"Yeah, not our finest moment." He admitted.
"Yeah, and I totally save your butts by the way." Before either boy could retort, she raised her hands. "I'm just saying. Anyways, I realize being a former ORDER operative makes me have a bit of a red flag on my résumé, but I'm sure with all of the knowledge I know about ORDER, we can make a deal." She explained. Thinking, Drake nodded.
"I think your right. And you did help bus fight off ORDER. Twice. I'll be sure to put in a word to the big man for you." Drake said. Shana smiled and nodded.
"Thanks. So what Daniels told me is that you two have some other business to take care of. Mind I tag along?" She asked. Smiling, Drake nodded.
    "Be my guest."

    CHAOS universe: an alternate story
    Ch4 pt4

"So, um.... What are we doing here?" Shana asked while staring about at the giant manor before her. Currently, they were in Brazil, or in other words, where Daniels uncle lived. After spending the morning traveling there at a leisurely pace, they had reached Brazil by noon.
"It's my uncles house." Daniel explained, walking up to the door.
"Great." Shana said, still obviously a tad bit confused. "So why are we here?" She repeated. Drake took the liberty of explaining.
"A while back, we took some friends of ours here. We're here to pay them a visit."
Shana nodded as Daniel knocked on the large wooden doors, which were elaborately decorated with what appeared to be doves sitting in olive trees. The entire manor in itself was impressive. It had neatly manicured lawns with sharply trimmed hedges and large rose bushes. The actual house was built to look like a medieval castle, complete with turrets and large windows. After a few moments of waiting, the door opened to reveal Veronica herself. She was dressed in a small brown sun dress with no shoes and a new haircut which took almost two or three inches off her hair. For a moment, there was an awkward silence as Veronica stared at Daniel with large eyes. Two seconds later she let out a small squeak and jumped on top of him, smothering him in a hug.
"Your alive!" She cried as she squeezed him in a bear hug. Grunting in surprise, Daniel returned the hug.
"Yes we're alive! Why would we be dead?" He questioned in a confused tone.
"We saw a video on the Internet of you and Drake fighting in town square! After that, there was absolutely no word of what a happened, and we thought maybe you had..." She let go of Daniel and let the sentence fade. Chuckling, Drake stepped forwards.
"Well I don't know about sparky here, but I think you already know. Nothing kills me." He stated as he grinned. Laughing, Veronica moved forwards and hugged him to, though not nearly as hard as she had hugged Daniel. Drake made a mental note of this.
"Well I'm glad you two are alright." She said as she stepped back from hugging Drake. Looking behind them, she noticed Shana standing awkwardly in the yard.
"And who is this?" She asked. Clearing her throat, Shana stepped forwards.
"I'm Shana. I saved these two from certain death back at Time Square." She stated.
"More like helped a bit." Daniel inserted quickly. Looking slightly amused, Veronica nodded at Shana in gratitude.
"Well thank you for helping them." She replied, them waved at them as she started to walk inside. "Well, come on in!" She invited. As the three walked inside, the doors swung shut behind the group by themselves. Instantly Shana tensed up.
"What was that?" She asked warily. Turning around with a a questioning look, Veronica realized what she was talking about.
"Oh, sorry! I didn't mean to startle you! I'm a telekinetic, meaning I can move objects-"
"With your mind. Got it." Shana finished, nodding in understanding. "I'm a pyro kinetic. Same thing, only with, you know, fire."
Veronica nodded and continued walking down the hall. Glancing at Daniel, Drake gave him a knowing look. Clearly, Veronica's abilities had increased since last time they had seen her. Once they had reached the end of the hall, Veronica took a right and led them into a large and spacious kitchen. In the kitchen stood a elderly Hispanic woman who was conversing with none other than Reneigh. Unlike Veronica, Reneigh looked no different then the day they had first met. Glancing up, Reneigh stared at the boys coming in and smiled a bit.
"Well well," she spoke in a slightly sarcastic tone. "Look who it is." Drake smiled and shrugged.
"Got here as fast as I could." He stated.
Smirking, Reneigh came forward and gave each of them a hug.
"And who is this exactly?" She asked while gesturing to Shana.
"She apparently saved their lives at Time Square." Veronica answered as she walked over to the counter and had several items fly through the air from various places and land in front of her.
"I see." Reneigh said with a small glint in her eye. "So they were in trouble then, huh?"
Daniel sighed. "We needed a bit of help, but honestly, we didn't need any saving."
Shana laughed. "Right. So your saying I didn't have to step in?"
"No!" Daniel cried, throwing his hands into the air in exasperation.
"Speak for your self," Drake said as he walked over to the hispanic woman he knew to be Daniels aunt Letica.
"But i'm glad she showed up." with this, he turned to Daniels aunt. "It's great to see you again miss Leticia." He greeted her. She smiled and started to reply when the phone rang.
"Just a second." She said in her strange accent, then ran to answer the phone. Nodding, Drake turned back to the others.
"How long are you guys here for?" Reneigh questioned while stepping out of the way to allow Veronica through, who had made drinks for everyone. Accepting his drink, Daniel replied to her.
"Around five days or so. We managed to get a bit of vacation time, so we decided to come visit you."
Veronica held back a small laugh.
"Do super heroes get vacation time?" She asked with a amused tone.
"Only when the world isn't in mortal danger." Drake joked and grabbed his drink from Veronica. Hopefully, this would be a nice, fun, relaxing week. However, when one was a super hero, this was rarely the case.

Drake concentrated on listening to everything around him. The attack could come from any direction, at any second, at any time. Focusing his hearing, he detected every single sound around him, even the rustle of the tiniest grass blade. Even though his sight was prohibited, his other senses were working just as well as usual, making it almost as if he wasn't blinded at all. Tilting his head, he heard it. A low whistle of something moving through the air, un-hearable to any ears but his own. With instinct, he turned sharply and jabbed his hand in front of him, curling his fingers and flexing his hand, creating a move called the palm heel. The object struck his extended palm with great force, breaking as soon as it connected with his hand and turning to dust. Smirking, he untied his bandana from his head, allowing him to see the courtyard he was standing in yet again. Slowly, he heard clapping behind him. Giving a low bow, he turned around to see Veronica, Reneigh, and Shana all sitting in lawn chairs while applauding him. It had been a day since the boys and Shana had arrived at the manor, and already the girls were using them for amusement. Reneigh and Veronica had invented a game where Veronica used her abilities to levitate a heavy object, in this case a cinder block, around Drakes head while he was blind folded. At random moments, Veronica would force the object towards Drakes head and he would have a split second to react and destroy the object before it struck his cranium. Honestly, he couldn't believe he was entertaining the girls this way.
"Very impressive! I thought for sure you were getting clobbered that time!" Shana called sarcastically.
"Oh, give me a break. It was pure luck the thing didn't smash into his head." Reneigh corrected.
"I thought it was impressive anyways. I couldn't react that fast." Veronica added.
"I'm glad I could amuse you." Drake replied dryly. Thankfully, at that moment, Daniel walked out of the house dressed in a kaki pair of shorts and a t-shirt.
"Hey Ver!" He shouted across the lawn. "Ready to go?" Smiling, Veronica jumped up and walked over to Daniel.
"Yup!" She replied cheerfully, and then turned to wave at the other three. "See you guys later!" She shouted, and then walked away while talking to Daniel.
"It's been two days you guys have been here," Reneigh observed. "And yet they've gone on three walks together." Snorting, Shana stood up. "Yeah, I can recognize young love when I see it." She stated blandly.
"Can't we all?" Reneigh asked as she stood up. As she walked towards the house she suddenly leaned down and picked up a stray brick, throwing it as hard as she could at Drake while shouting "Think fast!" Calmly, Drake lifted up his hand and caught the brick with ease, setting it onto the ground.
"Dang! Your good. Next time, I'm using my powers." She told Shana.
"That would be cheating. And as we all know, cheaters never win." Drake stated.
"Actually, in my past experience, cheaters ALWAYS win." Shana chuckled.
"Eh, depends on how you look at it." Drake observed as they walked into the house.

    CHAOS universe: an alternate story
    Ch4 pt5

    Daniel (still not Lightning Strike)

Daniel walked side by side with Veronica, attempting to ignore the awkward silence. Honestly, he wished they could just talk like ordinary kids and goof around. It's not like he didn't appreciate his powers, but sometimes he wished he could just...turn it off. Clearing his throat, he finally broke the silence.
"So, has it been interesting?" Realizing this question didn't quite make sense, he quickly elaborated. "Having super powers, I mean."
Veronica shrugged. "It's been fine. I mean, it's kind of different, our powers. You use your to fight crime and stuff, and I use mine to... Bake cookies."
Daniel gave a nervous laugh."Hey, nothing wrong with cookies! I love cookies." Inwardly, he cringed. I love cookies? Seriously? Giggling, Veronica pushed his shoulder, causing him to go slightly off balance. Again, the conversation died down.
"It's not like I don't appreciate my abilities," she said after a moment of walking in silence. "I just feel like I should be using them for more, you know? I mean, you and Drake are out there being super heroes, and I'm hiding out in Brazil!" She explained as she wrung her hands nervously. Again, the two went silent as they walked in deep thought.
"Well, do you want to fight ORDER?" He questioned.
"No! No, I don't think I'm cut out for the stuff you guys do, it's just..." Her sentence trailed off. A second or two went by before she continued. "I have to do something with them. I mean, I can do these amazing things, but I don't want to use them to fight!" Nodding, Daniel thought. All he wanted to do was help her, but at this point, he didn't know how. While he was attempting to figure out his reply, he looked around the beautiful neighbor hood they were walking through. It had brightly colored plants and perfect weather, with large Victorian houses, and incredible scenery all together. As he looked, a small flash caught his eye. It was as if something was reflecting the sun, and it was coming from a window in one of the houses. Becoming slightly distracted, he examined the light. It seemed as if the sun was bouncing off of...some sort of lens? A telescope, or a pair of binoculars- Daniels heart stopped. It was a scope for a gun. Instinctively he jumped forward and put himself in front of Veronica. Maybe the gun was meant for him, maybe it wasn't, but he was going to make sure she stayed safe. The shot rung through the air, as if lightning had just caused thunder. Tensing up, Daniel waited for the bullet to reach its target. It never did. Looking up, he saw the bullet laying on the grass, melted and burnt to a crisp.
"Daniel! What just happened?" Veronica yelled, covering her head. He wished he could tell her, but he didn't know himself. A second hot rang through the air, and Daniel again tensed up, only to watch the bullet stop in mid air, get struck by a bolt if electricity and fall to the ground.
"What?" Daniel muttered. Suddenly, he realized what was happening. It was him. Somehow he hand managed to create a shield of pure electricity around them. Looking up at the window where the shot had come from, he saw a figure look up and stare at them. Daniel couldn't be sure, but it looked as if the silhouette had figured out the same thing he had: that gun wasn't going to work. The figure stood up completely, stretched for a second, and then suddenly disappeared.
"What-?" Before Daniel could even finish his question, he heard Veronica yell in panic behind him. Whirling around, Daniel saw the figure holding Veronica in front of him with a knife to her throat.
"You make one move." The voice said. "And she dies." His voice was young, around Daniels age. That, plus the disappearing and reappearing thing meant he was most likely a super. Lifting his hands, he swallowed.
"Look! I'm not going to do anything, just-" before he could finish, Veronica closed her eyes. Once her eyes were closed, there was a invisible shockwave forcing everything back before Daniel had any time to react. The wave shoved everything back, forcing the boy into the air while only pushing Daniel to the ground. Standing still, Veronica continued keeping her eyes closed and standing still, as if she were a statue.
"Why you little..." The boy growled, then picked a knife which had fallen off his belt from the ground and rushed at her.
"Veronica, look out!" Daniel shouted. However, despite his warning, she stood still as a stone, concentrating. As the boy got within five feet of her, he suddenly was forced back by some sort of invisible energy shield. Opening her eyes, Veronica gave a small smile.
"Attacking two supers at once? Not really the best move." She stated. Daniels jaw dropped slightly.
"They didn't tell me you had abilities too." The boy mumbled. Daniels expression changed from shock to a small smile. "Then maybe next time you should come more prepared." To both their surprise, the boy simply fell down to his knees.
"It's not my fault, all right? I'm desperate!" He shouted. Veronica gave Daniel a confused look. Clearly, this was not a cold blooded killer.
"Do you know what it's like?" The boy continued, tears starting to stream down his face. "To be hunted for what you can do?" Daniel frowned. This was unexpected.
"Um, yeah, kind of." He replied. Veronica instantly glared at him and then dropped her shield.
"Um, Ver, I wouldn't-" Daniel warned.
"Look, he clearly doesn't want to kill me! He's being forced to!" She interrupted. Daniel sighed, but stood on guard. He was not letting Veronica get hurt again.
Slowly, Veronica leaned down next to him. "Who's hunting you?" She asked softly. Looking up through his tears, he replied through gritted teeth.
"The same man who wants you dead. The Centurion."

You are on a camping trip, surrounded by miles of wilderness, and little else. Your family is with you, each member in a separate tent. The night is crisp, but pleasant, and you gaze up at the night sky with a sense of dread, feeling that something is going to go wrong at any second. Your intuition proves correct, as a group of six bandits stumbles upon your camp, draws their weapons, and demands that you give them everything of value you possess.

    Response:

I'm not sure if it was intended or not, but your app is missing the RP response. Just to give you a heads up! :)

    Character Name: Denorith Malin

    Gender: Male

    Character Age: 21

Desired Race (Elf, Dwarf, Demon, Human, Other): Human
(Note: if choosing other, the race must fit within our lore and must be approved via the staff before you will be allowed to RP as the specific race.)

Desired Allegiance (Keyhold Canyon, Dun Morgue, Broken Hill, Trenmany Islands Empire, Unallied): Unallied
(If unallied, you may belong to a clan or enclave separate from the four Kingdoms. Please keep in mind that enclaves and clans can only exist with four or more members, and are not protected.)

Method of Arrival: Death in a battle in his home world. After his king was assassinated, a battle was held against the assassins and while the battle was won, Denorith was one of the first to die on the front lines.
(As a nexus of all universes, you can arrive in Ravien via death in another world, birth to someone in Ravien, creation via Demonology, etc.)

Character Backstory: Denorith lived a adventurous and heroic life in his world, a life far longer than any other mortal, and far out living his parents, due to a curse placed on him at birth. **EDIT**: From his birth, he had three other brothers. Only a year after his birth his parents were banished from the land in which they were living. Not wanting their children to live a life of exile, their parents sent every one of their children away to different homes to grow up. As they did, it was clear that the children were not ordinary. Every single one of them showed talent in the ways of combat, and in the ways of strength. As Denorith grew up, he developed "wander lust", meaning he could never seem to stay in one place for long.
At age 17 he left into the world to explore. Continuing to explore, he also several times met up with his estranged brothers, and occasionally went on adventures with them. After one particularly dangerous adventure, two of his brothers- Alekie and Crispin, were killed. Deciding to no longer go on adventures, he chose to live as a wandering warrior, and took up the name Silver. As he traveled, he found himself helping people whenever he could.

As he lived this life, as a warrior, he found himself making several friends. Of course, when one make's friends, they also make enemies. He became friends with a certain man and ended up having to protect his wife from a war between two countries. Staying with the couple for years, eventually the wife died, and Denorith moved on. He finally came to settle down with a tribe of werewolves. He lived with them for year, and eventually married the princess. After many more years the werewolves created an entire kingdom, where he was prince with his wife and was loved by his people. He became known as a great warrior and leader, and was it was commonly accepted that when the King died, Denorith would take over the kingdom, even over the kings firstborn. His first born, who was named Vyren, became angry, and even though the King never said his son would not get the throne, he started to make plans for revenge against Denorith. The two ended up warring for years before Denorith told Vyren he didn't want the throne, and never did. The King soon passed away, and Vyren took over, actually ending up to be a great King and he led the land too prosperity.

This wasn't too last. Unfortunately, one of the werewolf citizens started causing unrest in the Vampiric empire. Provoking the Vampires was never a smart thing to do, and this case was no different. The werewolves engaged in war with the Vampires, and a two year struggle resulted. Denorith became general of the army and helped protect the kingdom and fight of the Vampires, however the Vampires had much greater numbers. When Denorith's brother, the king, was assassinated, he became blinded by rage and grief. He led a reckless charge against the Vampires, which ended up winning the war, but with a high price: his life. Now he is living in this new world, searching hopelessly and futility to find a way back to his own, a task he shall never complete. (I apologize for the original back story, I didn't the see the rule about 3 paragraphs. I hope this is better! :) )

Your weapons are stowed in your tent, only a few feet to your left. The campfire is dying down, but some flames still remain, casting an eerie glow upon the scene. Knowing that everyone you care about is sleeping peacefully in their tents, threatened by the presence of these bandits, how do you react?

Denorith held up his hands showing he was surrendering. "I promise," Denorith cautiosly says. "We dont have anything valuable."
One of bandits steps forward. "Oh yeah?" He asks. "Then I suppose you wont mind us searching your tents."
Denorith quickly changes his mind. "Okay, okay." He says as he points to his own tent. "The valuables are in there."
The bandit leader gestures to one of the other thieves to search his tent. The thief moves forward towards the tent, and as he sticks his head through the opening, Denorith rushes forward, and tackles the man into the tent. As they struggle, Denorith grabs one of his weapons and manages to stab the mans shoulder. While he yells with pain, Denorith runs out of the tent brandishing his sword and waves it at the bandits. One by one the bandits move forward to attack, surrounding Denorith. One bandit leaps forward and slices at Denorith. Having little time to retaliate, Denorith spins around and parries the mans attack. He hears another man moving forward and spins around again, slicing his arm. Suddenly Denorith feels a large blade penetrate his chest, and he looks down to see blood pouring from his chest. As he groans, he falls to the ground feeling darkness envelope him, all sound fading. He had failed. ((Sorry about killing him in a roleplay example, but Denorith couldn't take on six at once alone, and I didn't want to drag it out. I hope that's okay.))
