This doesn't work with getting it on the sides of glass though and if you want a torch on top of glass just take a torch out and right click on the glass.

GEt many cool plugins and only allow use with donations.
Add stupid colors to player names when they donate.
Add a Donator or some similar ridiculous title or tag to donators.
Using towny or factions make it so only donators can create one.
Yes servers do this and suckers pay for it. Don't worry you will have people paying to play minecraft on your server.
Don't forget if it's a PvP server to give people who donate enough money good enough items so that even people with full protection IV diamond armor and a sharpness V diamond sword can't kill them. People will pay a lot of money just so that they can win against someone in a videogame.
As an example the Archer games server has a special donator kit that lets people spawn with full enchanted diamond armor and a sharpness VII diamond sword. You have to donate somewhere around 79 USD to get the kit and people will actually pay that much to get it just so they can win.
Personally I prefer orcs but if you like being a dwarf more then be it. You should just use what you enjoy more and not choose something you dislike just because some people might call you a copycat.
In my opinion the best update is the ones that fixed the most bugs. I think a lot of the people who picked 1.7.3 are picking because it's their favorite version instead of because they like what the update added.
I've always used it simply because after playing the game for nearly a year before realizing I could turn it off. After that long I had gotten used to having it on.
Back in alpha and beta you had to make your own server. You still do today, but it was harder and much rarely done. Only very ambitious kids made a server. So 80% of them were created by us, the veterans and true Minecrafters.

Of course idea's are added such as PvP and Economy. Which were retarded ideas, the combat system is not for competitive use, and why add an economy to a game of labor?

Why, what makes Aplha-ers and Inv-Dev players so much better that you only say that about them? We're all Minecraft players we all play it because we enjoy playing the game. What makes someone better just because they bought the game earlier then the rest?
Remember that you'll need enchanted diamond armor for the Wither, otherwise he'll kill you and it'll all be for naught.
(There is no getting around it; you NEED enchanted diamond for him because he's a gear check. Not like beacons are worth it. Everything involving the Wither and his star is a waste of time unless you like the way that skulls work.)
Actually you don't need diamond armor, you can easily do it with iron armor and a golden apple.
The thing is it is easy and it is boring, right now it's just spend two or three hours in the nether farming wither skeletons with a looting III sword, then getting the gear needed to fight him. The wither itself is not even a challenge if you're properly prepared.
I've only completed three CTM maps. Most of the time I'll play them up to the point where you get diamond armor and then quit because I get bored of the maps then.

I've more recently been letting it get to about 100 at a time then using my potion, I didn't even know you could get higher than 110 O.o
I've managed to get up to around 750 mobs at once before. It all depends on how good your computer is.
