It's a wonder you have all this time on your hands.
Yeah, I have a lot of free time but I'm pretty lazy most of the time. I actually could have finished the building over a year and a half ago instead of still having a lot of things that still need a finished on it if I didn't get lazy and then take a month long break from it multiple times. I actually found the mushroom biome while I was looking for an ice spike biome and decided to use the mushrooms together with the ice for the pathway, but I think I did that about 10 months ago and then decided to just build the wall along the path.
How on earth did you get all of those mushroom blocks?
Spent about 20 minutes planting mushrooms on mycellium then using bonemeal to grow them and then used a silk touch pickaxe to get the blocks. Took about 4 hours of walking to find my first mushroom biome though.
Went to the end to get some new blocks, got some horses and then started working on building things around my giant building. Filled in some ocean so that I have more space to build with and started building a wall around it.
Started to try and design a spiral staircase for something I want to build, not sure how I like it so far. Might like it more if it didn't go up as fast though.
Placed down almost 3 double chests worth of lava in the area below the floor, so far I made 4 rows of lava with six blocks between each row.
I won't be able to make the entire floor out of lava source blocks like I wanted to since that would take way to long to do. If I remember right it would be something like 6000-8000 lava buckets to do that.
Went exploring to find an ice spikes biome, ended up exploring a 4000 by 1000 area before I even saw any snow. After exploring over 2000 blocks in the snow biome I found my first mushroom biome and got some mycelium. Took around another 1500 blocks before I finally found an ice spikes biome.
Took me almost 5 hours total to find and set up a nether portal to the ice spikes and mushroom biome. At least now I'll have packed ice if I want to build with it and mushroom blocks will be easier to farm. I also found out it leaves a large crater in the ground if you mine up an entire ice spike.
Decided on using the orange stained clay with dark oak fences. Also started working on some other things and the ceiling, made the ceiling out of brown stained clay. Here's the current progress.
Went mining for diamonds since a lot of my picks were almost broken, ended up getting 27 diamonds and using them to repair 7 of my efficiency v unbreaking III picks. I still have 2 picks at around 40% durability and 2 picks that can't be repaired though. But at least now I'll be able to go back to mining hardened clay for my building.
Also almost to 200,000 blocks mined with a diamond pickaxes, only mined about 1-2% of the ores that MasterCaver has though. Most of what I mined was stone and hardened clay.
Been almost a year since I've posted on this, did some more work on the inside of the building though. Just have to decide on a couple of things first. Made the first of my four windows just wasn't sure which design I liked best for it.
Personally I think the third one looks the best, the others feel like there's too much red in them.
Next up I have to decide if I want to use either acacia wood or orange clay for my balcony. Here's what it looks like from the floor.
And here's what they look like with different types of fences.
Next up is the lava fall designs, made a couple of designs.
So far I still have a lot of work left to do on the inside, here's what it looked like when I started and what it currently looks like.
First is that I somehow managed to go from 1400 posts to over 1900, what caused that to happen?
Second is for total posts, what's the difference between comments and and forum posts?
Third is it seems like deleted posts now count towards a topics total amount of replies, I was wondering if this was intentional or if it was something that just wasn't noticed.
Edit: It seems my post count changed as soon as I made this post, as soon as I posted this it reset my comments from 824 down to 0 with puts me at around 1140 posts now
The fact that I now have 1140 posts instead of 1400 is also strange, I do realize this is a copy from around May 20th so I would lose some posts but it would only be around 10 posts instead of 270.
The only way I can think of that I would lose that many posts would be if posts on my on topics no longer count towards total posts. If it works that way it would explain why I lost so many posts since I have around 200 posts that I've made on one of my topics and the other 70 would be spread out between the rest of my topics.
I'm assuming this wasn't intentional since there seems to be no reason for posts on your own topics to not count towards your post count.
Started working on the floor of my building, currently deciding what color glass I want to use, black is the easiest to look through but I think red or white would look better with the floor. I plan to try out orange and yellow later to see how they look.

I decided to build a town just to pass some time and use up some extra stuff I had around.
