Hopefully this will silence all of the speculation.
Haha, what am I saying, this is the internet. How foolish of me.

I don't care about the leaderboards at all. I think they are pointless in a game like Minecraft.Quote from ManEatingManatee
So measuring your E-Weinie is so important that allowing people to build larger and more intricate structures easier than normal is not allowed? It effects leaderboards, not people- it's not like a glitch where you become unkillable in a game, it's not like that glitch in ACR that let's you teleport twice in a matter of seconds. It doesn't break the game, it doesn't hinder any enjoyment of the game besides measuring your E-wienie.
I build my personal world legit and it's hard/tedious work at times, if some people want to make it easier on themselves I don't see why they shouldn't be able to. Just remove the leaderboards TADA!
However, there are some people out there who do enjoy them a lot. For them, it's a fun way to compete with others on a game that isn't necessarily competitive in nature. I could care less if people want to build larger more intricate structures, but exploiting a glitch is still cheating. Not to mention that the duping glitch is a way to cheat to get achievements, which doesn't sit well with Microsoft. People knew it was a glitch, exploited it, and are now whining that it's being fixed.
People who like the dupe glitch can just wait for Creative Mode. -

Maybe because the game hasn't been update yet?Quote from Etogaur_Mabbon
Duplicate still works, I tried it earlier and it is still churning out massive amounts of anything.

Normally, I would agree with you, but in the case of Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition, you're wrong.Quote from ManEatingManatee
One word
BORDERLANDS
They allowed gun duping and the game survived JUST FINE.
Not to mention the glitch acts as a semi inventory editor, something that's been available for MC for ages! Stop being elitist in thinking the game can only be played one way. There are worse exploits out there and one person duping in their own game, it does not affect your gameplay and your enjoyment unless you let it.
It effects everyone who plays the game. The Xbox 360 version has leaderboards. Those leaderboards are rendered completely useless when people can boost their ranking by duping every single item they have. So it does effect everyone.
Mojang isn't working on the Xbox version, so their work isn't effected by it in the slightest. If you haven't notcied, the entire time the Xbox version has been out, Mojang has been pumping out snapshots. Doesn't sound like they've forgotten about the PC version at all. -

No it's not the full update. It's just a patch that adds a few things while fixing the loads of bugs.Quote from Devil_OwnpagS307
Is this the full update? wasn't there going to be the Adventure Update with the pistons and creative mode and stuff??
And My God that map is huge... 501MB... that is way too much, its going to take hours to download...
Psitons come in 1.7.3 which will be out sometime in July. 1.8.2, The Adventure Update, will be out sometime after that. It is the update that contains Creative Mode. It will come out mostly likely another month or two after 1.7.3 because of how massive the update is.
(If you need hours to download 500MB, you need better internet) -

Everything that was in Minecraft BETA 1.6.6 will be in the Xbox version. Later on, it will be updated to catch up to the PCs current version.Quote from AndrewDaBauss
None of the screenshots have a hunger bar. What features does this have compared to the computer versions?

That wasnt about what you think, even if minecraft to Xbox will have simmilar futures it will be royalty different. Xbox hate Java, so the game might be made in C or C++ so they must be created differently, Xbox is a closed ans secured console so modes will be hard to implement (just as what happened to console skyrim) and then it will take lots of time untilled both versions are equal because the PC version may still uppdate too. No offence in any way, just posting facts and factors.
Yea, but the biggest fail with that is that there are maximum going to be 8 players in a Xbox server.
The Xbox version is being programmed in a variation of the C programming language. That has nothing to do with the game being different. The code is different, but the game will play the exact same way, period. I don't like mods and never will so I could careless that the Xbox version doesn't have them. I am fully satisfied with vanilla Minecraft. And how would it take a lot of time until both versions are equal? Give it maybe 3 months and the Xbox version will be caught up to the PC version. And I could also careless that it's only 8 players online. I do not enjoy playing with massive groups of people I don't know. I prefer playing with my close group of friends.
None of what you said has anything to do with the game being different. It's exactly the same game. -

And why exactly would people be disappointed and come back to the PC version? The game is exactly the same as the PC version and will be update to catch up. I for one can't wait to play the game with a steady frame rate and be able to play with my friends. I may still play my PC version from time to time to try the new updates, but I will never come back to it as my main Minecraft.Quote from Zinic
Anyone playing minecraft is going to be dissapointed if they buy the Xbox version. After fiddling with the Xbox version, they will come right back to play the PC version. But from what I have seen, there are two benifits the Xbox version has. Premade recipes and splitscreen.

I for one can't wait for it to come out so I can finally play with my friends. And I know they'll catch it up to the PC version relatively fast. So I have zero complaints about it hitting the console other than I wish they would give a release date already. -

Enchanting has always been random. It was random before the recent changes and it's random still. People just found a way around it by exiting the game without saving.

Smaller Nether only applies when expanding an Xbox 360 world. If you make a world from scratch on the Xbox One version, the Nether will be larger than it was on the 360 world.
I believe the Nether (and the End) are 1/3 the size of the Overworld on the Xbox One version. Since the Xbox One worlds are 5000 x 5000 blocks compared to the 360's 864 x 864 blocks, the Nether is roughly around like 630 x 630 blocks or so. So it's almost as big as the old 360 worlds.

You're new here so I won't fault you for not knowing but there is a thread here that shows what is in each update.
http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/minecraft-xbox-one-edition/mcxone-recent-upcoming-updates/2230175-xbox-one-content-update-change-logs
Go there to see what's in each update. They post the changes there a little while before each update releases.

Like don242 said, saves /worlds are tied to the profile that made them.
If Profile #1 made a world, then the only way Profile #2 can play that world is if they sign in with Profile #1, load the world, and play in splitscreen.

Maybe it does work. I haven't put maps on a wall in a long time. If someone says it does then I guess it does.
0
You can place maps on a wall using an item frame but you cannot make one giant map like this....
One the consoles, you can only make a map on a wall look like this...
That is what I was talking about.

Even if you can mine them it's pointless to do so. Any spawner placed by a player will just spawn pigs. So unless you want and endless supply of bacon there is not point.

I doubt the Xbox One could handle shaders.

You craft a new blank map using 1 compass and 8 pieces of paper. It's in the Weapons and Tools tab in the crafting table. You have to scroll up to find it. When you craft it, it will just look like a piece of paper in your hands and not a normal map. Now that you have it, travel outside the bounds of your starting map or the map for the area you're currently in. Once you're out of that area, equip the map, then hit LT (Left Trigger) and it will open your new map and start filling it out.
As for zooming the map, that is something 4J hasn't added to the console versions yet and we don't know if they ever will. Same goes for making a map on a wall with item frames and full explore maps. Neither of them are in the game yet.

My guess would be because worlds went from possibly being as small as 360 worlds, which were 862 x 862, to being 5120 x 5120.
Even though the Xbox One is more powerful than the 360, they just increased the demand Minecraft has on the Xbox One by making the worlds larger, trying to run at 60fps smoothly, and increasing how far you can see. Your never going to know why for sure unless Microsoft or 4J say something about it. I believe they've said they may raise the player limit in the future but as of right now, with the game still being kind of laggy for a lot of people, even in offline singleplayer, I doubt it going to happen any time soon.
0
Neither Microsoft or 4JStudios ever said there would be 16 player multiplayer. Sounds like you read yet another rumor about the game that 4J constantly has to constantly warn people about.
If you don't hear it directly from someone working at Microsoft or 4J, then it was unconfirmed and a rumor. Which happens a lot thanks to people who think they know things on YouTube.

A few things.
1. There is a separate forum for suggestions. This is not said forum.
2. Every single thing you just put down has been asked for time and time again. They get it. People want these things. Some have nearly no chance of happening, while something like stained glass will likely come in a future update.
Here is the suggestion forum... http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/minecraft-xbox-one-edition/mcxone-discussion/mcxone-suggestions

If you really want to be a YouTuber then you definitely want something that is good, not just ok, at recording. People on YouTube will judge a lot of things, one of the biggest being the quality of your videos. Ever hear the popular phrase "recorded on a toaster"? Yeah, you should probably avoid having people post that on you videos.
Definitely get something records in HD. Games like Minecraft are a muddy mess on the screen if not recorded in at least 720p.

That may be a work around or permanent solution to your issue.
