The so called '2 foot Dragonfly' didn't live in the Jurassic. It actually lived much, much earlier, in a time called the Carboniferous. Just a fact https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meganeura
Personally, I'd like a Giant Moth, that spawns in the nether. They have dull glowstone coloured bodies, but with netherrack coloured wing membranes. Moths are attracted to light as a part of their navigational system, so it makes some random form of sense for it to be found around glowstone. They can be ridden, but not controlled. They fly to the nearest glowstone block, and hover under the glowstone, only moving when the glowstone is all removed. This makes it easier to mine glowstone, but it's not getting up that's the hard part, it's getting down again, and remembering where the moth has taken you. Ghasts could also be a problem for a Moth-Rider.
Once you're on top of a moth, you could actually get off and wander around on the top of it to mine the glowstone.
To attract a Giant Moth you would need a netherwart block, as a moth will travel to that (food) over glowstone.
They'd have as much health as a ghast, and since they are passive they don't do damage. They, like most nether mobs, are immune to fire damage.
I just came up with that on the spot lol.

I don't know if this has been shared here yet, but you can get the upcoming Dodo, Quagga and Terror Bird textures as a resource pack for 7.3 from the wiki: https://fossils-archeology.wikia.com/wiki/Resource_Packs

I'm sorry to say that as far as I know the mod is dead. I don't think there has been any progress in two years, the other developers have other projects that they're busy with, and I don't really do much modelling any more.
I hope it does come back some day, but I have doubts.

Perhaps the werewolf is weak just after transformation, and can only become stronger if Animals or Villagers are killed. This would encourage savagery from the player, as they could even defeat bosses such as the Wither as a werewolf if they have enough "sacrifices."

To be fair, it is hidden nearly right at the very bottom of the page. Chances are some people won't see it.
Anyway, the answer is no, there won't be a 1.7.10 version. It will probably take far too long to make to be worth it, as many people have already moved on from 1.7.10, and even more would have moved on by the time it was finished.

Figured out the code (Spoilers if you plan on solving it yourself):

This probably would be impossible without multiple hit-boxes, but I decided to post this idea anyway. I don't have a name or much of an appearance, but it would be kind of spider-like in structure, and have very long legs, and a mouth/stinger on the end of a stalk hanging from the body. I was sort of basing the shape on a Silt Strider from Morrowind, but there would be some major differences.
When angered, it stands over the player, trapping them in a roughly 3x3-4x4 block area, and using it's long legs as 'cell bars.' The mouth/stinger part then swings around, trying to attack the player. A combination of dodging and quick attacks would be required to defeat the creature, and escape. The creature would target any other mobs that were trapped with you, and they could be used as a distraction. Mobs could not get in or out of the 'cell' created by the creatures legs, so once the creature has trapped you, there's no help from the outside.

If somebody wants to stick with 1.7.10, just let them do so. As long as they don't expect other people to stay with them, there's no issue. I still often play modded Beta 1.7.3, but I'm not expecting Therizinosaurs in that version.

What other dragon types?

I think there should be Dodo and Terror Bird feather toggles. I don't think that it's realistic or believable for birds to have feathers. While you're at it, a chicken feather toggle would be nice too.

They hatch regularly if EggsLikeChickens is on. The idea was for an easier method of population control.

I saw this on Curseforge half an hour ago, and I've just been sitting here waiting for the thread to update! Congratulations on the full release!

^This is all the news needed . As long as it stays updated, the mod is being updated.
And yes, all the developers have other mods to work on.

I miss the even older Minecraft launcher from beta and early full release. It had very few features, but it looked the nicest out of all of them so far in my opinion.
