Does this work with Firefox or am I living under a rock?

Subifier is a Windows program (.exe), so it doesn't matter what browser you use.

I believe these already exist but you have to download one for every subscriber, this would be an all-in-one deal?

Yes, this would show notifications for every channel you're subscribed to.

    Subifier

We all use YouTube on a regular basis. If you don't, you're probably living under a rock. In using YouTube, we all have the annoyances of having to open the page to see if any of your subscriptions have uploaded new videos. Why not be able to quickly know, in real time, when your favorite YouTubers upload new videos? Maybe you're playing a game and don't want to switch to your browser and check. Maybe you're working on something and can't be bothered to open your browser every minute. Well, I have come up with a solution. Last summer I began on this little project, and finished a working version, but never released it until now.

Subifier works with the YouTube™ API to provide instant notifications whenever a Youtuber you're subscribed to uploads a new video.

    Another screenshot of the app:

    Planned features:
    • More settings
    • The ability to ignore certain YouTubers (whether that be for an infinite or finite amount of time)
    • This list is short, suggest some more features!

Subifier is NOT a complete project, and shall be considered a "BETA" product until informed otherwise. We're still working on making it better, and we're extremely open to constructive criticism and invite you to share your comments and suggestions with us. Does this work on Mac?

I use a PC for my desktop but when I'm sitting on the couch Skyping on my MacBook, this could as well be useful.

(If this was mentioned in the post, sorry .-.)

No, it does not currently support Mac. We do not currently plan on adding support for Mac due to the removal of the Skype Desktop API across all platforms.

Do you have any kind of dev tools installed?

Nothing besides the SKYPE4COM Interop library, which was included with Skype and which is embedded within the Skyply executable.

I just told you, I have the latest version.

    <snip>

That doesn't really make sense then. If we both have the latest version, why does the Desktop API work for me and not you? I don't get the warning either.

On the latest version as well and it does not work, even after ignoring the error.

Could you check and see what version you have? And also check for updates.

They did remove API support in December.

Apparently not...I'm running the latest version and the Desktop API still works for me. The app worked for all of my friends who have tried it, so I don't know...

Getting this error. So I can't test it out.

"we want to let you know that Skyply.exe app will stop working with skype starting December 2013. Please see our FAQs for more information"

They planned on removing the Skype Desktop API in December of last year, but it doesn't seem to be removed for me. Could you see if it works regardless of the error for me? Thanks. If that doesn't work, check and see if there's an update available for Skype. You can do this by clicking Help -> Check for Updates in the Skype menu bar.

    Skyply

We all use Skype on a regular basis. If you don't, you're probably living under a rock. In using Skype, we all have the annoyances of having to open the window to reply to a message, or even read it. Why not be able to quickly reply to your messages? Maybe you're playing a game and don't want to be so drawn away from it every single message you receive. Maybe you're working on something and can't be bothered to open Skype every minute. Well, Zach (@Alpun) and I (@Muny) have come up with a solution. Last summer he and I began on this little project, and we finished a working version, but we never released it until now.

Skyply allows users to respond quickly and effortlessly to Skype messages via a small notification window:

Skyply notifications do not appear if you're in "Do Not Disturb" mode.

    Planned features:
    • More settings, such as the ability to have the message read when the notification comes up, rather than only when you reply.
    • The ability to ignore certain conversations/completely disable Skyply for a certain length of time.
    • This list is short, suggest some more features!

Skyply is NOT a complete project, and shall be considered a "BETA" product until informed otherwise. We're still working on making it better, and we're extremely open to constructive criticism and invite you to share your comments and suggestions with us. Hey guys, I've begun working on a new game along with zachripper (Alpun on the forums) and another friend. We're developing it using LibGDX and it'll be a 2D game to begin with, then we'll make a 3D version if enough people ask. We're looking for some people who can make some good sprites, backgrounds, concepts, etc. For the game. To give you an idea, the characters would be in about a 48x48 pixel file. And the entire theme of the game revolves around a futuristic apocalypse.

We cannot afford to pay you right now, but maybe some time in the future. If you would like to be a graphics artist, fill out this app:
