    Good luck, they have shields that block every attack that exists and have lasers powerful enough to one-shot any city. Furthermore, each one contains countless small spacecraft, comparable in size to a modern-day airplane with the same shields and lasers that can one-shot a plane, with enough mini-ships on board to demolish a small town in only a few seconds.

    I support this idea, although it would sound weird if some blocks were broken with TNT. For example, wool makes a muffled slapping noise when destroyed, which would sound weird if an explosion caused it.

    I know that knives aren't going to be penetrating armor, but they can be aimed around armor easily and armor having no effect on its damage would make it too strong. Furthermore, quick strikes would deal half damage, floored, and knives would deal a very little amount of damage, so they won't be overpowered.

    Also, the quick strikes are designed to deal a small amount of damage and be hard to block, not be slow.

    I think the new weapons are a bit too much, perhaps a short sword (sword with little reach and charge time, and lower damage), a battle axe (an axe made for both cutting wood and battle, deals slightly more damage than a sword of same make, but has a slower charge time), and a knife (very little reach and damage, next to no charge time, can't parry, less affected by armor), crafted as so:

    As for charge time, I like it, but it shouldn't be so long. With a regular sword, probably .2 seconds for a quick strike, .5 for a normal one, and 1 for a heavy one. A dagger should be .1 seconds for a quick strike, .3 for a normal one, and .5 for a heavy one. A knife should not have a light or heavy strike, and have a .1 charge time. A Battle Axe should have a .5 second charge time for a quick strike, .8 seconds for a normal one, and 1.5 seconds for a heavy one.

    As for shields, they shouldn't block attacks coming from a whole 180 degrees around you. It should be more like 90 to 135 degrees. To reflect their high cost, Iron, Gold, or Diamond shields should be very resilient. Gold shields should protect from splash potions as other shields don't. Furthermore, wood shields should be as resilient as stone shields, but take high damage from being on fire. Ender shields give you the dragon egg back after crafting, and protect from everything, even explosions, potions, enchantments, and non-arrow projectiles.They should be crafted like this:

    How about making swords that use both black and regular diamonds start with a dark blue, and then get lighter as it goes farther away from the handle, and other tools start near the handle with a dark blue and get lighter as it gets farther away? Those tools could behave like black diamond tools, only with a slight (below 1/10 chance) of a random critical hit, and having a similar chance of dealing an extra heart of damage if it critical hits.

    Furthermore, how about combining arrows and black powder to get explosive arrows? They explode as strong as Ghast fireballs.

    I think that any blocks placed by a player should prevent regeneration within a 11 by 11 by 5 area centered around the block itself.

    Furthermore, player placed natural materials should block all change. Also, ore regeneration should be 5 times rarer than the normal generation and not intrude upon generated structures (such as dungeons, strongholds, and abandoned mineshafts).
