Why would you use a very rare dye instead of coal, charcoal, or redstone?

posted a message on Custom Difficulty
First off, note that this does NOT replace the current difficulties.

The custom game mode would provide options for difficulty not seen in normal Minecraft. The difficulty selection would go Peaceful-Easy-Medium-Hard-Custom. When you choose custom difficulty, there would be a customize button that enables you to choose each thing. There will be options for mob difficulty, hunger-bar related things, and day-night cycle things.

For mob difficulty, each monster has a modifiable spawn rate (x0 to x2), incrementable by tenths of a number, with the mob spawning more when it is higher, spawning the normal rate when at x1, and not spawning at all when at x0. Each monster also has a set limit, (0 to 100), incrementable by 10s, and mobs of that type will not spawn when at the limit.
Also, they have a damage modifier (0, Easy, Medium, Hard, Insane) that controls how much damage they do. 0 means they do not deal damage, Easy/Medium/Hard makes them deal the damage they normally do on that difficulty, and Insane makes them deal an extra heart of damage beyond what they do on hard.
Lastly, each mob has an additional effects option (0, Easy, Medium, Hard, Insane). 0 means that they never have additional effects (the ones listed here and have regional difficulty or Moon phase modifying them), with Easy, Medium, and Hard making it like normal on those difficulties, and Insane making it so that they always have at least 1 of those effects.

For hunger-bar related things, there are hunger rate (x0 to x2, incrementable by tenths), HP regen point (1-20, incrementable by ones), and HP regen rate (1-20).
The hunger rate determines how fast your hunger bar goes down. x0 means it will never decrease, x1 means it decreases normally, and x2 means it decreases twice as fast as normal.
The HP regen point is how full your hunger bar must be to regenerate health.
The HP regen rate is how long (in halves of a second) you need to wait in between each health point regenerating.

Lastly, there is the day-night cycle options. There is day time (1-60), night time (1-60) day light level (1-15, must be greater than night light level), and night light level (0-14, must be less than day light level.
The day time is the length of a day, in minutes.
The night time is the length of a night, in minutes.
The day light level is the light level of sunlight. It must be brighter than the night light level, and if it is below 8, then hostile mobs can spawn during the day.
The night light level is the light level of moonlight. It must be dimmer than the day light level, and if it is above 7, then hostile mobs can't spawn during the night.

There are custom difficulty presets for peaceful, easy, normal, and hard (same as what it is now on those difficulties), as well as insane (10 minute days, 50 minute nights, light level 10 during day, light level 0 during night, everything else on the hardest setting). The game will remember the custom settings for each world, and they will not transfer to other worlds.

If you have any ideas or comments, positive or negative, feel free to post them. And I did search, and there was nothing on the first two pages related to this, so I decided to post this.

Granted, but you discover a new glitch that causes a Windows 7 computer to irreparably harm itself.

I wish that I wished for a wish.

I support this idea, as some people would use it, even though I would not due to the lack of processing power the computer I use has.

posted a message on Stained Clay Slabs
I support the stained clay slabs, but not the stairs. Each one of those would take up a whole block ID, which I don't want to end up doing as that would limit possibilities for other blocks, and there wouldn't be a need for colored stairs.

I support this idea, as long as you know if someone tied his/herself to you. I'd like the good features, but I don't want to have to look behind me frequently to see if I'm dragging someone to my private secret base.

posted a message on Faster Hostile Mobs - Time to even things out, 7 versions too late.
Fast spiders sound like a good idea, but not anything else. Faster creepers would be too hard to stop from exploding, zombies aren't portrayed as being fast, and skeletons don't need a high movement speed to function. Spiders, though should be fast as that was part of their danger.

No. If you want a computer, build one yourself. There are plenty of methods with which to do it.

Furthermore, computers are out of place in Minecraft.

Replaces what is in the players hand with a given number of raw fish.

    /selfAttack [player] [item]

The player hits him/herself with the given item. If no item is given, then it is whatever is in his/her hand.
