    Quote from NeoGeo4

I specified how they spawn above. I will improve it a bit, too. Oh, and bug poison protects against locust. I suppose that they also wouldn't go through walls and bugs travel randomly, so the attack chance is low.... otherwise just set the difficulty below hard. And I believe that I DID state the purpose of items.

Some items were given uses, some not. You did not specify how bugs spawn, just where. What about getting the drops needed to make the bug poison? How do you get mob drops when the bugs don't drop them when they die?

Can you specify more on how they spawn? You provided where they spawn, but not how they spawn. Also, is there a way to protect your crops from locusts? What about uses for items, or how you get them? You didn't specify that well, either.

posted a message on Rivers need a overhaul
I support this idea. Rivers need an improvement.

I would also like it if rivers could spawn above sea level and flow downwards without a waterfall, just a gradual drop in height.

I want just the sparks particles. The noise was way too high-pitched for me. It was hurting my ears very quickly and was still moving up in pitch.

posted a message on Mojang Should Remove The Brightness Option! [Must Read!]
I do not like this idea. On the highest darkness setting, you can see in dark places, but not too well.

If I were in a cave at max brightness, I could show you the walls, the floor, the ceiling, the dirt and gravel (only on the resource pack I use, otherwise it doesn't contrast enough to the stone) veins, the spiders, and the long drops. I couldn't point out most ores, and would have a hard time seeing monsters. I like being able to see that much without lighting things up.

If you prefer moody brightness, then use moody brightness. Its that simple.

But don't force other people to use it.

posted a message on rice in minecraft and new effect
I don't like this for many reasons.

First, the rice is cheap to get. Just one wheat used, and when cooked, five hunger bars back, twice as much as bread for one third the cost.

Second, the raw rice gives the player a chocking effect when eaten. What does the chocking effect do?

Third, the rice would just be used as food. That makes it relatively bland. Wheat can make animals breed, fishing can give you other things instead of fish, meat can be fed to wolves to restore their health, carrots can make potions of night vision, and potatoes have a chance of giving you a poisonous potato. Melons can be combined with gold and used in a potion, and pumpkins can make Jack-o-Lanterns and Pumpkin Pie. Rotten flesh can give you food poisoning and spider eyes can be made into a potion of poison.

posted a message on Infininte lava sources in the nether
    Quote from APlotdevice

Yes, and why are some things harder to acquire than others? The answer is balance! Diamond is stronger than iron, and so to balance that out it is made less readily available. Making the strongest block available in survival mode infinite goes against this core principle of Minecraft!

Almost everything is already renewable due to villager trading. Obsidian included (the glitch I mentioned earlier and the fact that a portal will create another portal if none is available, regardless how many times you do it).

And you can have two methods of infinite redstone generation before you make your way down to the lava ocean level in the Nether.

posted a message on Infininte lava sources in the nether
    Quote from APlotdevice

The problem with infinite lava sources is that it would make obsidian an infinite resource as well.

Obsidian is already infinitely renewable due to villagers selling redstone, which can be turned into obsidian by a glitch that Notch said will not be removed until it unbalances the game.

    Anyways, I support this idea.
